A national wide poll has revealed that Hollywood superstar George Clooney has been voted Britain’s sexiest TV medic even thought it has been more than a decade since he regularly played Dr Doug Ross in hospital drama ER.
Also in the top of the poll by Two Point Hospital were Martin Clunes as Dr Ellingham in Doc Martin, and Call The Midwife star Helen George who plays blonde bombshell Trixie Franklin.
The poll created by Two Point Hospital also looked at the nation’s favourite medical shows, which was revealed to be Call The Midwife, followed closely by Casualty.

Dr Connie Beauchamp, Casualty (Amanda Mealing)

Amanda Mealing made her first appearance as Dr Connie Beauchamp in the sixth series of Holby City in 2004.
She made her last appearance in BBC medical drama in 2010 before joining the cast of sisters-show Casualty in 2014, in which she is still a main character today.
Dr Connie ended her first shift at Holby City Hospital by having sex with new colleague Ric Griffin.
They spent the day flirting with each other and they ended up getting it on in his office, even though Connie was married.
The steamy session ended with Ric in his underpants and Connie saying: “Oh by the way I’m your boss, so don’t be late tomorrow.”
Dr Ali Neeson, Coronation Street (James Burrows)

Dishy Doctor Alexandra “Ali” Neeson is the biological son of Michelle Connor but was accidentally switched at birth with Ryan Connor and raised by Nick and Wendy Neeson.
The general practitioner first stepped foot in Weatherfield in 2018 and has recently had a one night stand with Maria Connor behind Gary Windass’ back.
Ali has been hellbent in winning back ex-girlfriend Maria ever since the pair broke up last year.
Fans of the hunky medic will be disappointed the learn that James Burrows has filmed his final scenes and will be leaving the ITV soap later this year.
Nurse Trixie Franklin, Call The Midwife (Helen George)

Fun loving Nurse Trixie Frankin is always up for a party and to go out with the boys and have a good dance.
The senior midwife and nurse is often seen trying to set up her fellow midwives with other guys and push them into relationships and get them married off with a twinkle in their eye.
Trixie is a glamour puss in her late 20’s and is known for wearing bright red lipstick and being boy-mad.
Actress Helen began dating her Call the Midwife co-star Jack Ashton (Tom Hereward) in 2016 and the couple went to have have daughter, Wren Ivy, born in 2017.
Dr Gregory House, House (Hugh Laurie)

Gregory House is the main character of the House series and is portrayed by Hugh Laurie.
House clearly has a type as he always goes for brunette women. Cameron, Stacy, Cuddy and even Paula the hooker from season two all have a dark hair colour.
The Head of Diagnostic Medicine winds up having sex with Cuddy, the hospital administer and his immediate supervisor after she comes over to his house to help him kick his Vicodin addiction.
Expect their encounter that night didn’t actually happen – it was a Vicodin-induced hallucination on House’s part.
Dr Zara Carmicheal, Doctors (Elizabeth Dermot Walsh)

Dr Zara Carmichael was introduced as new general practitioner at The Mill in 2009.
The GP has been at the centre of different storylines including being kidnapped, pregnancy, the birth of her son, dealing with early menopause and her relationship with Daniel Granger.
At the 2018 Christmas party, the doctor got drunk and ended up sleeping with Sid to take her mind off Daniel’s absence.
Speaking about the complicated character to Ok! Magazine, actress Elizabeth Dermot Walsh said: “She behaves appallingly. I don’t think I’d particularly want her as a friend, but she’d be a great fun ride if you’re with Zara.”
Dr Abby Lockhart, ER (Maura Tierney)

Dr Abigail Lockhart first appeared in American medical drama ER in season six.
In her first few months, the naughty nurse struck up a personal relationship with Dr Luka Kovac.
Abby’s final appearance as a series regular was in Season 15 episode 3 “The Book of Abby” when she left with Luka and her son Joe to live in Boston.
Abby appeared once more in Season 15 in episode 20, “Shifting Equilibrium”, during a phone call with Neela, who needed Abby’s encouragement to leave County.
Abby was seen in her new home, looking after a group of children.
Jac Naylor, Holby City (Rosie Marcel)

Actress Rosie Marcel joined the cast of Holby City in 2005 as locum registrar Jacqueline Naylor.
The medic has since become a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon at Holby City Hospital’s Darwin Ward.
Jac struggles to form relationships, but establishes rivalries and uses sexual manipulation to her benefit, engaging in relationships with multiple colleagues.
The character is also made multiple appearances on Holby City sister shows HolbyBlue and Casualty.
Dr Doug Ross, ER (George Clooney)

It has been over a decade since Hollyoaks A-lister George Clooney regularly played Dr Doug Ross in hospital drama ER.
Dr Doug made his first appearance in 1994 and George played the character until 2009.
The hunky medic was described as “a complicated children’s doctor who could be self-centred and quick tempered, hitting the bottle to avoid dealing of his actions.”
George’s removal from the main cast opening credits was in the 16th episode of the fifth season of the American medical drama.
