Coronation Street Jack P Shepherd deleted Tina O'Brien from group chat ahead of wedding

Coronation Street ‘s Jack P Shepherd admitted to axing co-star Tina O’Brien from the Platt’s WhatsApp group this week.

The 32-year-old actor appeared on This Morning today, chatting about his upcoming storylines on the Corrie cobbles.

Jack plays David Platt, onscreen brother to Tina’s Sarah Platt, having acted alongside one another since they were children.

In upcoming scenes this week, Sarah will tie the knot with Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), deciding to officially lose her last name.

Joking about the wedding on This Morning, David insisted Tina was no longer welcome in the family group chats.

He said: “We have a Platts WhatsApp group and I’ve binned her from the group because she’s no longer a Platt.”

Luckily, the two have been firm friends for years, last year celebrating 20 years onscreen together.

Sharing throwback pictures from the childhood acting days over Instagram last May, they said: “20 years on. #Sister #Brother.”

Sarah is due to walk down the aisle with new hubby Adam Barlow

Tina’s onscreen mother Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, revealed she was chuffed to see her daughter married off to hunky lawyer Adam.

She told the This Morning crew: “I think she’s very happy with Sarah marrying the Barlow because he’s a lawyer, so therefore they’re going up in the world.”

Unfortunately, Sam – who plays groom-to-be Adam – hinted an affair could be on the horizon, as he insisted the wedding ring couldn’t stop his character from straying down the line.

He said: “Of course not, no. I would love Adam to be settled down, but you know what street we live in. I don’t know if that’s conducive to being settled down so we’ll see how that goes.”

Could there be tears at the altar, or will the wedding go without a hitch?

Coronation Street airs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
