Coronation Street spoilers: Ali takes Maria hostage over Gary drugs drama

Coronation Street’s Ali Neeson is set to take things a step too far as he proceeds to hold Maria Connor hostage.

Coronation Street spoilers have revealed Ali will be so desperate to show Ali Gary’s evil ways, he’ll kidnap her and trap her in his car.

This will occur after Gary takes his revenge out on Ali for getting intimate with his wife and drugs him with diazepam.

Villain Gary decides to teach Ali a lesson, but things take a scary turn as Doctor Ali is rushed to hospital after overdosing on the drug Gary poisoned him with.

When Ali regains consciousness in the hospital bed, Ryan informs him he took an overdose.

Ali, convinced he’s not touched the drug concludes that it must have been Gary who spiked him.

The doctor is determined to find evidence which show’s Gary is the one to blame, and as he’s making plans, Maria spots him in his car.

She jumps in, quizzing her ex about the overdose leading to his hospital visit.

Ali goes into meltdown and locks Maria in the car, holding her hostage in a bid to convince her of Gary’s twisted actions.

A terrified Maria is begging Ali to set her free, but the angry character goes into a frenzy and threatens to drive off, starting the car.

When he finally frees her, the she rushes home in frantic distress, immediately informing Gary about Ali’s kidnapping.

The dodgy dealer assures Maria he hasn’t done anything, and it’s Ali who’s lost the plot.

Ali, unable to deal with Maria and Gary going from strength to strength, tells Ryan he’s leaving.

He says his goodbyes to Maria, before making his departure from the Weatherfield cobbles.

Actor James Burrows was revealed as leaving the soap after playing Ali for two years.

Fans were sure he’d be murdered by Gary, but it looks like the character will survive the hands of Windass for now.
