Lorraine Kelly forced apologise as guest awkwardly swears live on air

Lorraine Kelly had to act quick when a guest said “s**t” live on air.

The Scottish presenter was joined in the studio by psychotherapist Julia Samuel, who spoke about mental health and raising awareness for people’s wellbeing.

However, during the discussion, Julia accidentally said a profanity, which Lorraine swiftly had to apologised for.

Chatting about people’s feelings, she said: “You would say to your best friend, ‘I’m having a s**t time’.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” Lorraine responded.

Seemingly not noticing the swear word, the TV host continued: ”You would! You would!”

“I’m not sleeping, I’m furious with so and so. And by the time you’ve had a cup of coffee, had a hug and roared with laughter, it lessens.

“Whereas, if you keep that in your system it grows and it gets bigger.”

Lorraine was forced to apologise for the guest’s mishap

Once the segment had wrapped, Lorraine was forced to say sorry for Julia’s grammatical slip.

Speaking to camera, she said: “We just have to apologise for a naughty word, you probably didn’t even notice.”

Elsewhere on the show, the TV host touched upon Harry Styles’ recent mugging.

The British singer was approached by a gang of men who asked for money along with his phone.

After the 26-year-old refused to unlock his iPhone, the gang went on to threaten him with a knife, which resulted in the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker attempting to get help from a driver.

Harry has since said he’s “okay” following the incident.

Lorraine continues on ITV at 9am
