Former Gladiators host Ulrika Jonsson was chatting to the Loose Women ladies today about all things sex, having recently had sex for the first time in five years.
Ulrika, who has been lauded for her sexually-empowered stance, has been open about coming out of a marriage that was “sexless” towards the end.
She spoke to the Loose Women panel consisting of birthday girl Brenda Edwards, Janet Street Porter and Ruth Langsford today about having sex recently after deciding “I don’t care and I do what I want to do”.
Ulrika revealed that the gentleman messaged her over social media to express his interest, but it was “all very innocuous and unflirty, which was very appealing to me”.

Speaking about how she felt ahead of their first meet-up, Ulrika called: “I already get really bad anxiety that I needed a couple of rum and cokes as I thought this could be the longest evening of my life.”
However, she said she was put at ease slightly ahead of their date though because he said “just to let you know I’m going to give you a hug”.
A cheeky Ruth then probed: “How long did it take before you had sex for the first time?”

She then quickly joked: “Were you worried you wouldn’t remember how to do it?”
Ulrika recalled: “I felt like that night I would have definitely had sex with him but I didn’t.”
She added: “I was really worried I wasn’t going to remember how to kiss.”
Ulrika then revealed on their second date, which came a week later, she and the mystery man had sex for the first time.

Revealing what the turning point for her was in terms of having sex again, Ulrika said she was too concerned with weighing up what job someone had and in the end all of her friends said to her “you just need to get laid”.
Ulrika concluded: “I think with age, well for me anyway, it comes with all these insecurities but I just thought I also don’t care and I do what I want to do.”
