Pregnant Ciara 'disappointed' as she's forced to cancel Texas gig over coronavirus fears

Pregnant Ciara has been forced to cancel her Texas gig on doctor’s orders over coronavirus fears.

The 1, 2 Step hitmaker, who is expecting her third child, has released a statement to her fans explaining what she can no longer perform at the Fort Hood USO opening on March 19.

The gig has been pushed back to later this year, although there has been no new date confirmed yet.

Ciara, 34, said: “With the continued spread of the coronavirus throughout the U.S., as a pregnant woman, my doctors have advised me to limit travel and large group gatherings.

“I am disappointed I won’t be able to return this month to the place where I was born, Ft. Hood Texas, and put on the amazing show we had planned.

Ciara is the latest performer to cancel a gig due to the global coronavirus outbreak.

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson cancelled his Milan show and BTS, Green Day, Avril Lavigne, and Queen and Adam Lambert have all cancelled or postponed gigs.

Britain now has 209 confirmed cases of coronavirus, two of which proved fatal.
