Hollyoaks Mitchell left reeling after twin brother twist turns his world upside down

Hollyoaks ‘ Mitchell Deveraux has been rocked by a shock storyline twist, which has seen him be revealed as the twin brother of new kid on the block Toby.

The Chester resident has only just managed to come to terms with his sexuality after falling for Scott Drinkwell when he’s found out he’s not actually an only child.

In scenes, which aired on E4 tonight, Mitchell, who is played by Imran Adams, is left shocked and confused by Toby’s revelation.

To make matters worse, Toby makes the big reveal at Mitchell’s birthday party.

Speaking about the reveal, Bobby Gordon, who plays Toby, said: “It’s clear, since Toby arrived, that he sees Mitchell as the prize child.

“At Mitchell’s birthday party, it’s an overwhelming attack of emotions for Toby.

“He sees love, celebration, and family coming together, all on a day which is also Toby’s birthday.

“All of this love and support is given to this one child, and Toby has never had a day like this.”

The actor added: “This is the moment that Toby tells everyone that he is the missing child, the forgotten one.

“He wants answers, and one thing’s for sure, there are still many truths to be revealed.”

Viewers will have to watch this week to find out how Martine explains her reasoning for keeping the fact Mitchell is a twin under wraps.

At the end of tonight’s episode, Martine is seen running into the toilets to get away from the toe-curling situation.

Later this week, the three Hollyoaks residents are set to sit down total about their family problems.
