James Jordan begs fans to start praying as dad hospitalised after a stroke

James Jordan’s father has been hospitalised after having a stroke, the Strictly Come Dancing star announced earlier this evening.

The 41-year-old professional dancer revealed his father was rushed to the emergency ward in the early hours of the morning.

Breaking the devastating news over Twitter, he said: “Hi guys. I’ve been in hospital since 7.30 this morning where my hero and dad was rushed in after having a stroke and seizures.

“Sitting with him now and I’m asking if you could all say a little prayer for him. I’m not ready to lose him!”

He added: “Love to all of you … #LoveMyDad “.

His wife Ola Jordan commented under the thread with a string of heart emojis, showing her support for James at this difficult time.

The couple’s fans flooded the thread, sharing words of support and making it clear they would pray for his father.

Ola and James recently welcomed their first child into the family, after years of battling with IVF treatments and fertility issues.

Delighted to become a family of three last month, James shared a picture of his newborn daughter’s feet, saying: “I’m the happiest man in the world.”

The couple, who tied the knot in 2003, have been open about their struggle to conceive in the past.

Speaking to Hello! magazine in early 2019, Ola admitted: “I would love to be a mum with all my heart and I just thought it would happen naturally.

“James is also desperate to have babies and I just wish it could have happened by now. That’s the one gift I would love to give him.”

Our thoughts are with James and his family at this difficult time.
