Earlier this week, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson revealed they’re self-isolating after contracting coronavirus.
The couple, who are currently holed up in Australia, shared the announcement with their fans on social media, stating they’re “in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else”.
With time on their hands, and hoping for some light musical relief, Rita asked her online following to send in their playlist suggestions to help ease the quarantine boredom.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: “Hi guys! I want to make a Spotify playlist for people self quarantining. Something that might relate to isolation, perhaps?

“Can you send some song ideas that I can add?”
She also requested a suitable title for her new playlist, and suggested ‘Quarantine Choruses’. “This is what one does in quarantine. You think of stuff like this.”
Her tweet comes days after husband Tom posted a heartfelt message on Instagram thanking the Australian medical staff for looking after them both.

He explained they’re both “following the advice of experts” and taking each day as it comes.
“Hello folks. Rita Wilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of us,” he began.
“We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else. There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness.
“We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no? Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball. Hanx.”

The American actor was filming Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis film on the Gold Coast when he contracted the virus.
He said the pair were feeling “a bit tired, like we had colds” and swiftly arranged to be tested for coronavirus, which came back positive.
