Coronation Street fans couldn’t help but notice a major similarity between comedian Jason Manford and the policeman in tonight’s episode of the soap.
The Coronation Street cast member spoke to the policeman about her grandmother, as she was worried that she was being abused.
She had discovered that she had been locked in a box for hours by her husband, and had also heard that Yasmeen had been overheard crying in the garden.
She decided to take Toyah Battersby as she shared her concerns with the policeman, who promised to look into it for her.
As the policeman brought up Clare’s Law, a law which protects partners in domestic abuse cases, fans were distracted by how similar he looked to the comedian.

Viewers were left sickened as Geoff managed to manipulate Yasmeen into cutting ties with her granddaughter after she caught him taking money from the Speed Daal account.
Geoff threatened to leave Yasmeen as he accused her of choosing her over him, leaving her in tears as she begged him to stay.
