Singer Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom are hoping to overcome the current coronavirus pandemic that is sweeping across the globe and tie the knot later in the year – although their plans may have to be halted.
Katy, 35, announced she is pregnant with her first child earlier this month but was hoping to marry her 43-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor fiance, Orlando Bloom, in Japan this year but the COVID-19 lockdown means that they may have to postpone their upcoming nuptials.
The lovers became engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019 but it’s looking as though they may be celebrating with a private ceremony lacking guests as travel comes to a halt.
Chatting to Hollywood Life, a source close to the couple said: “Katy doesn’t want to postpone her wedding, but it’s something that is looking more and more likely by the day.”

However, it appears that the Teenage Dream songstress has a backup plan up her sleeve.
The source continued: “It’s unfortunate, but she’s taking it in stride. She’s told friends that they might just do something private at home and then have the big celebration in Japan when this all calms down.”
Orlando told The Times that his wedding to Katy will be “very, very soon.”

He also went on to say that he would not be pressuring guests to travel while the virus is gripping the world.
“But I’m not joking when I say that coronavirus might have a play in whether we put things on ice, because we’re going to be travelling and we don’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable.”
Katy has recently had to cut her trip to Australia short, leaving Sydney on March 12.
Orlando also revealed that he would be returning to the United States in order to go into quarantine after filming for the Amazin Prime show, Carnival Row which is filmed in the Czech Republic was cancelled.
