The Chase host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants on the show this afternoon – including Jess from Hinckley.
Ahead of the cash builder round, Jess revealed her plans for spending her winnings, saying: “I’ve been living under my parent’s roof for 25 years so I’d like to get out.”
The rugby player also admitted she hoped to take her parents on a swish whiskey-taking experience on the Isle of Skye.
However, as soon as Jess appeared on the screen, distracted viewers were convinced she had a soap star lookalike.
Certain fans compared her to Coronation Street favourite Bethany Platt, who left the soap earlier this month in heartbreaking scenes.
Played by Lucy Fallon, Bethany left the show to pursue her dreams of working as a journalist in London.

Taking to Twitter, The Chase fans pointed out the similarity between the two blonde lasses, wondering whether Bethany had popped up in the ITV studio.
One said: “Bethany from Corrie is on #thechase.”
“She looks like Bethany from Corrie,” added a second.
Certain viewers spotted a certain resemblance between Jess and Bethany
While a third chimed: “She looks like that girl on Coronation street Bethany Platt.”
Jess racked up an impressive £7,000 in the cash builder round before gearing up to take on Mark “The Beast” Labbett.
Unfortunately, she fell at the final hurdle, when a question about The Times newspaper sent her packing.

Commiserating, Bradley remarked: “Jess I am so sorry! Good player as well by the way.
“Love to your mum and dad, tell them to enjoy the whiskey.”
The Chase airs on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
