Luther star Idris Elba has taken to social media to date his fans following his diagnosis with coronavirus.
The actor revealed he tested positive for the deadly Covid-19 virus on Monday, despite showing no symptoms and wanted to keep his followers up to date with how he was going as he self-isolates.
He said it had been a “mad 24 hours” as he thanked his fans for the support he’d received.
Idris said: “I certainly felt at the end of the day…that was the right thing to do, to share what were going through, because we ain’t the only ones,” he said on Twitter.
“Some of you probably watching right now are going through the same thing, testing positive and quarantined at home hoping for the best.

The In The Long Run actor attended a WE Day event in London on March 4 where he posed for photos with Lewis Hamilton and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who has since tested positive for the virus.
While he didn’t mention Sophie by name, he explained he had been “exposed since March 4”.
When asked by a follower how long he’d been exposed, Idris said: “That’s when the person that came up positive, that was the time I got in contact with that person.
“So essentially, I could have been positive since March 4.”
The TV star said he’s “feeling ok” and while he still not showing any symptoms and he’s checking his temperature twice a day.

Idris also confirmed that his wife Sabrina was also, and had bee tested this morning and awaited her results.
Speaking about the backlash Sabrina got by appearing alongside Idris last night, Idris said: “Just for clarification, Sabrina wanted to be by my side, as much as we talked about her not coming to where I am, she did, and wanted to and I love her even more for it and I would do the same for her.
“I see a lot of people saying Sabrina shouldn’t be there…in this time…love is all you can get.
“Who am I gonna turn down my wife’s support? As much as I wanted to keep her safe, we presumed if I had it there was a likelihood she’d have it too.

“Hope you guys can understand that.”
Idris, who was about to start production on a film when he was tested, said he was “worried” seeing as he has asthma, which puts him at a higher risk of complications from coronavirus.
He added: “I think part of me dealing with this and speaking to you publicly is part of me coping with how the world is dealing with it.
“I’m proud of Tom Hank, who came out and said they have it, and been public about it.
“I was definitely motivated by Tom’s move there.”
