This Morning slammed by viewers over 'pointless' pasta cooking segment

This Morning fans slammed today’s cooking segment of the daytime show, as James Martin taught viewers a pasta dish.

Due to the current coronavirus crisis, viewers slated the cooking tutorial, branding it “pointless” after members of the public have struggled to buy the tasty carbohydrate.

Viewers flocked to Twitter while James provided the recipe from his own kitchen, slamming the cooking tutorial for using pasta.

One said: “James Martin cooking on This Morning, a pasta dish!! Good luck with that recipe everyone.”

While another moaned: “What a pointless segment as none of us can make it with this pasta shortage!”

A third added: “Are the doing this on purpose!!! Pasta 3 days in row when most can’t get it or flour.”

And a fourth complained: “Sorry but you can’t get pasta or rice guys – are you taunting us?”

“Recipe for pasta sauce?? I can’t blinking get hold of any pasta to have with the sauce” typed a fifth.

Not all viewers fumed however, as some thought people were being over dramatic.

They said: “All the people saying the shops don’t have pasta/eggs etc, are you just reading about that or have you been? I bought pasta a couple of days ago and eggs today. Also got toilet rolls and bleach…”

Also on today’s This Morning, Michelle Keegan appeared on the show via video chat due to COVID-19 social distancing.

During her interview, the 32-year-old Our Girl actor was interrupted in an awkward live television moment.

The former Coronation Street actress was explaining the premise of the fourth series of the show, saying: “The thing is, you don’t know who survived because it’s not touched upon, it’s like moved on down the line…

A loud barking is then heard from outside Michelle’s bedroom door, and as the actress tried to brush over it and continue, Holly said: “Ooh, there’s a dog!”

Michelle then proceeded to cut short her Our Girl explanation after the awkward interruption, saying: “I know, look see it’s all going wrong already…
