GMB viewers ‘can’t believe’ what they heard in background live on ITV as broadcast cut

Good Morning Britain was taken off air on Monday as Ranvir Singh was forced to apologise to viewers after hearing explicit language being spoken in the background10:55, 10 Jun 2025Updated 10:57, 10 Jun 2025ITV’s Good Morning Britain had to abruptly interrupt their live feed this morning when some rather expletive language was picked up in the background. While Ranvir Singh was presenting the news, GMB’s North America correspondent Noel Phillips appeared on screen reporting on the National Guard troops being deployed to LA amidst the ICE protests. But as the report unfolded, protestors in LA could be heard dropping a few choice expletives as Donald Trump orders an additional 2,000 National Guards and 700 Marines into LA during the fourth day of turmoil.Ranvir quickly intervened upon catching the swear words, saying: “I’m just going to interrupt that – I think we could hear some profanities being spoken. That’s my understanding of what’s going on there near Noel and we can’t really broadcast that at quarter past eight in the morning. We’re going to try to get back to him.”Ranvir cut off the broadcastOver on X, previously known as Twitter, a viewer commented: “Who would think it be a good idea to be in the middle of the protesters that are angry..”Article continues belowThis incident follows Noel Phillips revealing a harrowing injury he suffered while reporting live from the mayhem in Los Angeles, which resulted in him seeking medical attention, reports the Mirror.Inquiring about his recent ordeal, Susanna Reid asked: “You found yourself in the line of fire yesterday, didn’t you? Just before your report at eight o’clock. The presenter hosted the show on Tuesday”We had no idea at the time. We’ve seen a number of reporters, in fact you reported on one yesterday morning of a photographer who had been hit, what happened to you?”.During a discussion about the incident, Noel shared: “Susanna and Richard, just 10 minutes before coming on air yesterday, I was on the floor talking to several protesters. I was on the floor because it was the best place to be, given the fact that the situation around us was so volatile, officers were obviously chasing protestors on the streets.”As I was laying on the floor, I felt as though an enormous ton of bricks had fallen on my arm. I realised, within about 20 to 30 seconds, that a rubber bullet had grazed the top layer of my skin and had caused a bit of injury. There are protests taking place in the US”My arm was swollen, I went to the doctors, got it checked out, it wasn’t broken at all. But, it was swollen, it still is swollen and it’s in a bandage at the moment.”LA has been engulfed in protests for the past four days as demonstrators have taken to the streets to voice their opposition to harsh immigration policies. In the midst of this chaos, President Donald Trump has deployed the National Guard, despite the disapproval of California Governor Gavin Newsom.Join the Daily Star’s WhatsApp for the sexiest headlines, showbiz gossip and lots moreThe Daily Star is now on WhatsApp and we want you to join us!Through the app, we’ll send you the sassiest showbiz stories, some naught headline and a seismic smattering of aliens…along with the latest breaking news of course. To join our community, all you have to do to join isclick on this link, select ‘Join Chat’ and you’re in!No one will be able to see who has sign up and no one can send messages except for the Daily Star team.
