Celebrating the news with her social media followers, Pearce shared a video clip of herself breaking down as she discovered she was a CMA Awards winner early on Wednesday.
“@leebrice & I WON MUSICAL EVENT OF THE YEAR,” she tweeted. “This was the moment I found out as I sobbed on the phone in my PJs.”
Referencing her divorce from fellow artist Michael Ray, she continued, “In a year that started as the hardest I’ve ever experienced, YALL are helping me see the big, bright, BEAUTIFUL light at the end of the tunnel (sic).”

Christina Aguilera in 'Work Mode' After Joining Jay-Z's Roc Nation

    WENN/Adriana M. Barraza

The ‘Genie in a Bottle’ songstress seems to be cooking up some new music after parting ways with her manager of 20 years and quietly signing with Jay-Z’s management company.

    Nov 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Christina Aguilera is possibly preparing new music after she switched management companies. The singer has joined Jay-Z’s Roc Nation management after he parted ways with her manager of 20 years, Irving Azoff.
Rumors of the switch sparked after Xtina’s name and bio appeared on the Roc Nation management roster. The company, however, has not officially announced her as its newly-signed artist though Variety reports that the move happened several weeks ago.
With the move, the 39-year-old pop star joins a number of A-list artists under the Jay-Z-founded agency, namely Alicia Keys, DJ Khaled, Mariah Carey, Megan Thee Stallion, Meek Mill and Rihanna.
Following the reports of her becoming part of Roc Nation, Christina seemed to tease a new project. On Tuesday, November 10, she posted two photos of her sporting a black latex outfit with round sunglasses. Looking stylish with a full makeup one and a pulled-back hairstyle, she simply wrote in the caption, “Work mode.”

The caption has got her followers hopeful of new music from the “What a Girl Wants” hitmaker, with one asking in the comment section, “New music????” Another excited fan wrote, “New music coming soon.” A third fan begged, “New album please,” while another seemingly pleaded, “We need the album!!”
Radio host Mike Adam also commented on Christina joining Roc Nation, believing that it’s going to take her career to a positive direction. “#ChristinaAguilera joins @RocNation for management! This is huge! @Xtina is one of the most astounding vocalists of all time. In recent years, due to lack of promotion, lack of proper management, she hasn’t garnered the acclaim she deserves. Hopefully, that’s all about to change,” he tweeted.
Christina’s last album “Liberation” was released in 2018 to lukewarm responses from fans, despite majorly positive reviews from critics. It debuted at number six on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 68,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. She last recorded “Loyal Brave True” and a new version of “Reflection” for the soundtrack of Disney’s live-action “Mulan”.

Tony Mortimer of East 17 Hopes to Get a Holiday Hit With All-Star Cover of 'Stay Another Day'

    WENN

The new rendition of the 1994 classic song will feature the likes of Another Level’s Dane Bowers, Boyzone’s Shane Lynch, 5ive’s Abz Love and Phats and Small’s Ben Ofoedu.

    Nov 10, 2020
AceShowbiz – East 17 star Tony Mortimer is hoping his new version of the classic “Stay Another Day”, featuring stars from some of Britain’s most popular boybands, will become a holiday hit this year.
The track famously beat Mariah Carey’s festive classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” to the top of the charts back in 1994 and, thanks to a new recording, Tony is hoping to replicate the success.
Super-group Boyz On Block, featuring Another Level’s Dane Bowers, Boyzone’s Shane Lynch, 5ive’s Abz Love and Phats & Small’s Ben Ofoedu, have recorded their own rendition of the tune, with Tony also featuring on piano.
“I love it. I think it’s a brilliant version,” he tells The Sun of the new recording. “I didn’t think Stay would be a single let alone achieve what it did and still have people into it 26 years later. It’s very humbling.”

      See also…

“I’m a huge fan of all the boys individually and I was really excited to hear their version collectively,” he adds. “I was honoured I could play the piano on it and Abz’s lead vocal has just blown me away.”
Tony, who won an Ivor Novello award for the track, wrote it about his brother Ollie’s suicide as well as the final 24 hours of a friend’s father’s life.
While Tony’s a massive fan of the song, singer Ben revealed they are yet to get the seal of approval from the rest of the group, sharing: “The rest of the East 17 boys don’t know we’ve done it!”.
The single is due for release on November 20.

The ‘Old Town Road’ hitmaker trades his cowboy hat for Santa costume in the promo for his upcoming Christmas song and his first new single in almost two years.

AceShowbiz – Lil Nas X is releasing a Christmas song. The Grammy Award-winning artist has announced that his new single “Holiday” is coming out this Friday, November 13 and he has debuted a video to promote it.
In a nod to “Back to the Future”, the trailer, which aired during a football game between the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, sees the “Panini” rapper teleporting to the Wild West. He arrives on a horse in his complete cowboy gear, with his hit “Old Town Road” instrumental playing in the background.
When Santa Claus gets thrown out of the saloon, having had one drink too many, he takes the hat and finds himself being chosen as the new iteration of Santa. He quickly trades his outfit for Santa costume, while his horse turns into a reindeer.

As he takes off on his sleigh, a snippet of “Holiday” is heard playing. “It’s a holiday, I got h**s on h**s and they outta control,” the lyrics go. Michael J. Fox then makes a cameo, reprising his “Back to the Future” character Marty McFly, who warns Nas, “Whatever you do Nas, don’t go to 2020!”
Fox reposted the Jason Koenig-directed trailer on his Twitter page, reiterating his message to Nas in the caption. Christopher Lloyd, known for portraying Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown in the “Back to the Future” trilogy, also shared the commercial on his own social media page and wrote along with it, “Great scott! Looks like where @lilnasX is going, he doesn’t need roads.”
Holiday is produced by Tay Keith and Take A Daytrip. It marks Nas’ first new single in almost two years. His last single “Rodeo”, which features Cardi B and Nas, peaked at No. 22 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The song was lifted off his debut EP “7”, which was released in June 2019.

The French DJ and producer came out at number one on the rundown – almost a decade after he first took the top spot back in 2011 – and was presented with his award during the AMF Presents Top 100 DJs virtual awards show in Amsterdam.
“Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me,” he said. “To think it is 40 years since I first played in a club, and 10 years since I last won this award makes me quite emotional.”

      See also…

“When I first won nine years ago I got a lot of hate for merging dance music with mainstream and pop and looking back now and seeing how it has shaped the industry and made it evolve is absolutely crazy.”

“Winning now after I’ve gone back to what I did originally and releasing more underground music with my friend Morten and ‘Future Rave’, and with ‘Jack Back’, makes it even more special,” continued the “When Love Takes Over” hitmaker. “I owe everything to my fans and whatever the future brings, I’ll be there, ready to soundtrack the party, and I hope you will too.”
Other top acts in the rundown include last year’s winners Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, who came in second, followed by Martin Garrix at three, Armin van Buuren in fourth place and DJ Alok at five – switching places with Marshmello who slides down to the 11th spot.

The hit, which came in at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 during its initial run on the charts, also re-emerged on the U.S. iTunes top 200 list following Donald Trump’s defeat, which came four days after the election began.

Florida Georgia Line Call Off CMA Awards Performance After Tyler Hubbard Tests Positive for Covid-19

    WENN

The ‘Dig Your Roots’ duo join fellow country musician Lee Brice to pull out of their scheduled performance at the CMA Awards after one of the members contracted coronavirus.

    Nov 10, 2020
AceShowbiz – Florida Georgia Line star Tyler Hubbard has become the latest performer to bow out of the upcoming Country Music Association Awards after testing positive for COVID-19.
Shortly after fellow singer Lee Brice pulled out of Wednesday’s (11Nov20) ceremony, Hubbard took to Instagram on Monday to reveal that he, too, had been diagnosed with the coronavirus, although he was feeling fine.
“Got the Rona (sic),” he wrote beside a selfie. “Asymptomatic. Quarantining on bus. Miss my family. Writing songs. Thankful.”
He shared the news hours after hinting about his ailment as he posted a photo of his tour bus outside his home.

      See also…

“Any ideas why I would have my tour bus parked in the drive way?” he asked fans.
As a result of Hubbard’s diagnosis, he and bandmate Brian Kelley will no longer be performing at the annual prizegiving in Nashville, Tennessee.
Ironically, Kelley had just called for traditional concerts to be allowed to resume amid the global health crisis, after seemingly questioning why crowds of people were allowed to celebrate U.S. President-elect Joe Biden’s election victory on Saturday, but music fans weren’t able to gather for live shows.
Alongside footage of Democrats partying in the streets outside the White House over the weekend, Kelley wrote on his Instagram Story timeline, “Time to go back to work AMERICA. Booking shows ASAP (as soon as possible).”
His sentiments were shared by fellow country music singer Morgan Wallen, who branded the celebrations hypocritical in his own social media post. “Time to start booking shows,” he posted alongside the same clip. “The hypocrisy is unreal.”
