    AceShowbiz – The 2020 CMT Awards took place on Wednesday, October 21, hosted by actress Sarah Hyland and country singers Ashley McBryde and Kane Brown. Despite going virtual amid COVID-19 pandemic, the award-giving event kept offering some magnificent performances from some incredible musicians in the country world.
    Among the memorable performance was a duet by Kelsea Ballerini and Halsey. The two teamed up for an electrifying performance of their song “The Other Girl”. The ladies sang in an empty karaoke bar while sporting black, dominatrix style leather outfits.

    Also offering an incredible performance that night was Noah Cyrus, who belted out “This Is Us” with Jimmie Allen. She opted for a racy look for the star-studded event. Rocking a sheer bodysuit which featured a sequined bikini over the top of it, she completed her style with white gloves, knee-high boots and a cowboy hat. As for Jimmie, he looked equally amazing in a silver sequined jacket and a black cowboy hat.
    Later that night, new mom Maren Morris serenaded the viewers with her song “To Hell and Back” from Ashland City, Tennessee. Choosing to make it a stripped-down performance, she sang the song while playing her acoustic guitar. The 30-year-old songstress, who gave birth to her first child Hayes with husband Ryan Hurd just seven months ago, looked stunning in a plunging orange-and-white dress.

    Meanwhile, Shania Twain made use of the event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her full-length “The Woman in Me”. Performing from the Chaplin’s Woeld museum in Switzerland, the country legend took the viewers back to 1995 as she sang “Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?”

    Gaby Barrett also brought her A-game to this year’s CMT Awards. The “American Idol” alum, who is several months pregnant, flaunted her powerful vocals by singing her song “I Hope” while wearing a black jumpsuit and matching blazer jacket.

    The 2020 CMT Awards saw Carrie Underwood being the biggest winner of the night by snagging Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year for “Drinking Alone”. Also among the honorees that night were Luke Bryan, Gwen Stefani, Chris Young and Old Dominion.

    AceShowbiz – The full winner at the 2020 CMT Music Awards has been unveiled following the ceremony that took place in Tennessee, Nashville on Wednesday, October 21. Carrie Underwood continued her reign as the most awarded artist in the event’s history after she nabbed Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year for “Drinking Alone”.
    In her acceptance speech after winning Female Video of the Year, the “American Idol” alum said, “Um, oh, my gosh. Thank you so much. Thank you CMT. Thank you fans so much for voting. It means so much to me and just lets me know that you’re still doing what you do, which is giving the love. Thank you fans. Just thank you, I don’t deserve you.”
    With that, Carrie now has 22 trophies from CMT alone. She has held the most awarded artist title for the last six years, winning the Female Video of the Year category eight times while taking home the biggest honor for the fifth time throughout her career.

    While the Female Video of the Year award was given to Carrie, the male part of this category was won by Luke Bryan for his “One Margarita” visuals. On the other hand, Gwen Stefani finally has her first CMT trophy after her Blake Shelton collaboration, “Nobody But You”, beat the likes of Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber’s “10,000 hours” as well as Marshmello and Kane Brown’s “One Thing Right” in the Collaborative Video of the Year category. However, Dan + Shay still managed to take home an award after winning Duo Video of the Year for “I Should Probably Go to Bed”.
    Other winners at the ceremony, which was hosted by Sarah Hyland, Kane Brown and Ashley McBride, included Chris Young and Old Dominion. While the 35-year-old singer nabbed CMT Performance of the Year for “Drowning”, the five-piece band won Group Video of the Year for their “One Man Band” music video.

Unveiling a video for his “Top” version of Jay-Z’s “Story of O.J.” on Wednesday, October 21, the hip-hop star rapped about wanting to get Reginae Carter pregnant at one point during the song.
    Following lines that found him bragging about himself, YB shot his shoot at the daughter of Lil Wayne. “But they won’t understand how I’m 20 cockin’ over 10 million, huh/ I seen labels the new age slavery, so I partnered up I’m a CEO now/ I own a percentage of United Masters tell ’em hate me (F**k it),” he spit his bars. “The s**t ain’t Fugazi, I’m tryna convince Fee to tell Reginae/ How big the s**t gon’ be if we have a baby, but I’m serious though.”
    Many people were not here for it, considering that YB already has a number of children with different baby mamas. Among them was YFN Lucci, who used to date Reginae in the past. He said underneath a gossip blog’s article about the song, “Boi a real b**** in person.” On the other hand, Reginae herself has yet to comment on the verse.

    YB is currently a father of four. Reports have recently surfaced claiming that he is currently expecting a child with YaYa Mayweather after she was spotted sporting a baby bump during an outing earlier this year.     AceShowbiz – Teyana Taylor recently unveiled a music video for “Lose Each Other”, with Elton John making a special appearance in it. Following the release of the visuals, the collaborator held a joint Instagram Live session and the songstress could not hold back her tears when the veteran musician praised her music.
    Teyana was already emotional the moment Elton told her, “I love what you do. I love how you sing. For me, you’re one of the exciting new artists of the whole last three or four years, and for me it was a personal honor that you reached out to me to be in the video. I had no hesitation because I love you very very much.”
    Later, when Elton started gushing over her latest music video during the livestream, Teyana broke down in tears. “The video is one of the most beautiful videos. … It’s just like a work of art. I think you put so much of yourself into the video, I can see you in the video putting your thoughts and ideas. I’m so proud,” he said. “I’m not a fan of music videos normally, but this one is a work of art and I’m so pleased to be a part of it. You’re my girl, you know that.”

    In tears, Teyana thanked Elton for praising her work. “To hear from the actual legends, the ones that matter, especially in this music industry really really means a lot,” she said.

    Elton made an appearance in the beginning of the music video, playing the piano before the scene changed to show Teyana belting out the tune. In a statement issued on the same day as the release of the music video, the songstress admitted she never expected Elton would agree to get involved in the production.
    “As we were working through treatment ideas and solidifying logistics for the video, an international phone number calls me… and for a second I almost didn’t answer, but my intuition spoke, I answered. All I hear is: ‘Hello darling, it’s Elton. I’d love to do your video!’ I freaked out,” she recalled.

    The 31-year-old singer and actor’s tune, a remix featuring BTS and New Zealand singer Jawsh 685, recently hit the number one spot and, to memorialise the moment, he hit up popular West Hollywood rooftop joint Catch and treated patrons to drinks following the success.
    “It’s a celebration @catch!” he captioned an Instagram video clip, showing the hitmaker receiving a rather large bill. “SAVAGE LOVE #1 on billboard, we did it.”
    Jason has become something of a social media sensation in recent years for antics including his attempts to eat 22 hamburgers to celebrate reaching 22 million followers on TikTok.

    He previously claimed he earns more than a rumoured $75,000 (£60,000) for each post he makes on that platform.
    “Savage Love” popularity started with “Siren Beat” trend which amassed tens of millions of views on Tik Tok. The addictive music caught Derulo’s attention who later added his own lyrics to it.
    The remix initially sparked issues between the two artists as Derulo released his version without obtaining clearance for the sample. The U.K. singer reportedly wanted the song for himself and only to have Auckland teen Jawsh as a producer, but Jawsh was not having it.
    They eventually resolved their feud. Jawsh was finally credited as an artist, co-writer, and producer.

    AceShowbiz – Sarah Silverman is one of the celebs participating in Gal Gadot’s infamous “Imagine” cover clip, and now she has addressed the controversy surrounding the video. During her recent appearance on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM radio show, the comedian admitted she was not surprised by the backlash.
    In the episode, Sarah explained that Kristen Wiig was the one who invited her to take part in the cover. “So she emailed me and she goes, ‘well, we’re all gonna sing ‘Imagine’.’ And I wrote her back and I go ‘ ‘Imagine’, really?’ ” she said. “And she, and she, and she’s so sweet, you know? I mean, she’s so funny. She’s also so sweet. And she goes, ‘It’s just to like cheer people up.’ And then I couldn’t say no, because one, it was the beginning of quarantine. Like there’s no saying no to anyone because you can’t, there’s no excuse for it.”

    She continued, “So I tried to like, make my part funny at least, you know, like I just feel like I have no currency unless I’m being funny, which is ironic considering this appearance…” But soon after the video received criticism from social media users, Kristen apparently reached out again to Sarah to apologize to her. Sarah herself understood why people got mad over the clip because in her opinion, “It was well intentioned, but like, yeah, a little tone death, but it really came from a nice place I think.”

    Back in March, Gadot gathered the likes of Sarah, Kristen, Jamie Dornan, Natalie Portman and Jimmy Fallon to cover John Legend’s “Imagine” in hope that it could cheer people up in the beginning of the quarantine period. However, the clip was met with widespread backlash as people generally thought the whole thing was insensitive, cringey, and wildly out of touch.

In a new interview with Billboard, the “Sweet but Psycho” singer clapped back at those who criticized her virtual album release party on Roblox.
    When asked what she learned from using Roblox for her “Heaven & Hell” release event, Ava said, “It’s a great way to connect to your fans. I think virtual events are definitely going to be more prominent now, because everyone’s at home.” She elaborated, “I got a lot of love and a lot of hate, and I started laughing at the haters. I’m not striving to be cool, and I think that’s what makes my music relatable. I can definitely have fun with myself.”

    Ava partnered up with Roblox for the “Heaven & Hell” launch party in September of this year. It featured the singer on a huge screen in front of a dance floor as she talked about the inspiration behind her album and performed several songs for her fans amid flashing lights, fireworks and a backdrop that transformed into a cartoonish version of hell.
    The event was a success. More than 1.1 million people showed up for the album launch party with a peak concurrent total of 166,620 people. This caused Roblox to consider integrating more visual concerts on the platform. “The stretch goal is to go to the non-obvious places, where we can make the virtual experience even better than the real-world experience,” said Jon Vlassopulos, Roblox’s head of music.
    Receiving generally favorable reviews from music critics, “Heaven & Hell” was released on September 18 and peaked at No. 27 on Billboard 200. Meanwhile, on the UK Albums Chart, it peaked at No. 2.
