  • Iggy Azalea Feels Discouraged as Covid-19 Crisis Delays New Music

    Instagram

The ‘Fancy’ hitmaker admits to feeling ‘demotivated as hell’ as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic delays her new music and leads to the cancellation of live shows.
    Oct 9, 2020
AceShowbiz – Iggy Azalea is struggling to find motivation as the Covid-19 pandemic continues.
With live shows and promotional opportunities off the cards amid the crisis, Iggy’s been spending the majority of time home with her infant son Onyx – and being a mum hasn’t left her much time to focus on her music career.
“Not gonna lie, sometimes I feel demotivated as hell,” the Fancy rapper tweeted. “I’m not saying that stops me from doing anything. I’m just saying I’m a lazy b**ch.”
The hitmaker also responded to a fan who demanded to know when their signed copy of her last single, “Dance Like Nobody’s Watching”, will arrive, insisting, “They haven’t even made them yet.”

“It’s covid problems unfortunately,” she explained. “S**t is even slower now than ever with manufacturers – that’s why I didn’t even do vinyl. The wait times to make them right now are insane.”
Iggy is believed to have welcomed Onyx in April (20) with rapper Playboi Carti after hiding her pregnancy from the public before sharing the news in June.
“I have a son. I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes the more I realise I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world,” she wrote.
“I want to keep his life private but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret and I love him beyond words,” the “Fancy” hitmaker added, alongside a blue love-heart emoji.

  • Little Mix Takes a Dig at Simon Cowell on New Album

Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall appear to diss their former manager in a new song called ‘Not a Pop Song’ from their upcoming studio album.
    Oct 9, 2020
AceShowbiz – Little Mix appear to namecheck their ex-manager Simon Cowell on a track from their new album “Confetti”.
The girl group started out on Cowell’s “The X Factor U.K.” and have gone on to become one of the hottest bands in the world. However, they switched from his Syco record label in 2018 amid rumours of a feud and are now signed to RCA.
According to British newspaper Metro, the new track “Not a Pop Song”, released Friday (09Oct20) ahead of “Confetti” debut next month, suggests the music mogul treated the iconic girl group like “puppets on a string.”
The lyrics read, “I don’t do what Simon says / Get the message cuz it’s read / That’s just life it never plays fair / Said to follow any dream, be a puppet on a string / Works for you but that isn’t me / This ain’t another pop song.”

However, a source close to the group told the publication, “It’s not b**chy – and isn’t meant in a b**chy way at all. They think Simon will see the funny side of it – as they know he loves attention and will think it’s all playful. It’s about them growing up and becoming women in a way.”
“Confetti” is the band’s sixth studio album, following 2018’s “LM5”. It is their first release with RCA.
This year, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall launched their own talent show on BBC. The winning act from the series is expected to join the all-girl group on their upcoming “Confetti” tour.

  • James Corden Performs Parody Song to Slam Donald Trump Over Response to Covid-19 Diagnosis

    CBS

In the latest episode of ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’, the TV host sings, ‘Maybe I don’t wear a mask ’cause I don’t care about others/ Science I don’t really understand.’
    Oct 8, 2020
AceShowbiz – Donald Trump has become the butt of the Internet jokes ever since he revealed his COVID-19 diagnosis, though it soon turned into a criticism because of how he behaved despite the diagnosis. James Corden was among those critics, belting out a parody song of Paul McCartney’s “Maybe I’m Amazed”.
The TV host delivered his performance in the Tuesday night, October 6 episode of “The Late Late Show with James Corden”. It began with a voiceover from Trump who said, “And I learned so much about coronavirus…And I know there’s a risk, there’s a danger, but that’s ok. And now I’m better and maybe I’m immune, I don’t know.” The scene then cut to show James sitting behind a piano before he started belting out the tune.
“Maybe I’m a man/ Maybe I don’t wear a mask ’cause I don’t care about others/ Science I don’t really understand,” he sang, as a viral clip of POTUS seemingly gasping for air during a photo op on Monday night was playing just beside him. “Maybe I’m just high from this experimental cocktail/ Baby I just need some oxygen.”

Beside poking fun at Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis, James also joked about the upcoming presidential election and how the former entrepreneur is doing at the polls. “Maybe I’m immune to the way the polls are looking now/ Maybe I’m afraid that it’s not fake news/ Maybe I’m immune to all the lies that I have made/ I shouldn’t have downplayed/ Maybe I’m afraid of the way that I might lose this/ Maybe on November 3rd I just might lose this,” he continued rhyming while playing the piano.

Trump has been receiving criticism for not wearing a mask during a recent photo op at the White House even though he has yet to recover from the coronavirus. Many pointed out that he was putting other people’s lives in danger, though the president seemed to be unfazed by it.

  • Morgan Wallen's First 'SNL' Performance Canceled Due to Him Partying Maskless

    Instagram

Revealing that his ‘SNL’ debut is no more, the country singer makes use of this chance to apologize for his careless behavior, ‘I’d like to apologize to ‘SNL’, to my fans, to my team, for bringing me these opportunities.’
    Oct 8, 2020
AceShowbiz – Morgan Wallen is reflecting on his mistake. The country singer recently landed in hot water after he was caught on camera partying maskless in Alabama despite COVID-19 pandemic. It eventually cost him his first gig on “Saturday Night Live”, as revealed by the singer himself in a video shared on Instagram on Wednesday, October 7.
Besides announcing that his “SNL” performance is no more, Morgan also used this chance to apologize for his careless behavior. “I was getting ready for ‘SNL’ this Saturday and I got a call from the show letting me know that I would no longer be able to play. And that’s because of COVID protocols, which I understand,” he said. “My actions from this past weekend were pretty short-sighted, and have obviously affected my long-term goals and my dreams.”
Despite his actions, Morgan confirmed that he tested negative for the virus before issuing his apology. He said, “I’d like to apologize to ‘SNL’, to my fans, to my team, for bringing me these opportunities. I let them down. I wish I could’ve made country music and my fans proud but I respect the decision once again.”

Morgan also promised to be a better person following the incident. “On a more personal note, I think I have some growing up to do. I think I’ve lost myself a little bit,” he told his followers. “I’ve tried to find joy in the wrong places. I don’t know. It’s left me with less joy, so I’m going to go try to work on that. I’m going to take a step back from the spotlight for a little while and go work on myself.”

Meanwhile, his ex KT Smith previously reacted to the news by saying that she would not let him visit their child for the time being. It doesn’t mean she’s come to hate him though, as she pointed out, “All parenting looks different but he is still SO loved.”

  • Kentucky AG Daniel Cameron Dubs Megan Thee Stallion's Attack on 'SNL' Disgusting

    Instagram

Daniel clearly doesn’t appreciate the female emcee’s verbal assault during her debut performance on the long-running show because he’s ‘simply trying to do my job.’
    Oct 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – Daniel Cameron has broken his silence after Megan Thee Stallion called him out during her first “Saturday Night Live” performance last week. During his appearance on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday, October 6, the Kentucky Attorney General deemed the rapper’s verbal assault on the long-running show “disgusting.”
In the episode, Daniel stressed that he supported Megan’s call for black women protection, but he didn’t appreciate getting called out like that. “Let me just say I agree that we need to love and protect our Black women. There’s no question about that,” he said. “But the fact that someone would get on national television and make disparaging comments about me because I’m simply trying to do my job is disgusting.”
“But it’s not the first [time] we see this, and it certainly won’t be the last time we see this. At the end of the day, my responsibility is to provide facts and truth and represent and stand up for justice,” he continued, before making a mention of Breonna Taylor’s case. “I think what you saw there in that display, [is] someone who instead wants to fashion facts to a narrative. That narrative is simply not true in this particular case with Ms. Taylor. Again, it is a tragedy what happened to her.”

Daniel then assumed that Megan only attacked him because he is a part of the Republican party even though he is a black man. “I stand for truth and justice as opposed to giving in to a mob mentality,” he said. “And those are the sorts of things that will be hurled at me in this job.”
During her debut performance on “SNL”, Megan took the time to call out the politician over his handling of the investigation into Breonna Taylor’s death. “Daniel Cameron is no different than the sellout Negroes that sold our people into slavery,” the message directed at the black Republican state leader read.
Megan continued, “We need to protect our black women and love our black women. (Be)cause at the end of the day, we need our black women. We need to protect our black men and stand up for our black men. ‘Cause at the end of the day we’re tired of seeing hashtags of our black men.”

  • Normani Blames Anxiety for Lack of New Music Release After 'Motivation'

    Instagram

In a new magazine interview, the Fifth Harmony member also teases that her new album is close to being done as she says, ‘When God tells me that it’s done, then it’ll be done.’
    Oct 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – Fans have been anticipating Normani Kordei’s new song ever since she released her first single as a solo artist, “Motivation”, to the point that some of them start blaming her team for the lack of new music from the artist. However, in a new interview with Teen Vogue, the singer said that it was all because of her anxiety.
Normani, who graced the cover of the magazine’s latest issue, said, “Vulnerability is talking about the fact that I do get anxiety sometimes, and just showing the consumer what that feels like for me. Just the fact that I am in a position that I’m in, but I don’t want to be so unattainable. I’m just the girl next door.”

Despite that, Normani promised to bring the best quality ever through her new song and debut album. “There’s so much expectation that I have for myself, so adding [fans’ expectations] onto that can be a lot, but it really does motivate me,” she said. “I really want to create a body of work that’s going to count, you know? I’m never going to get my first album back.”
Normani’s debut album is something that fans have been expecting for a long time after Fifth Harmony announced their hiatus. Finally addressing when the project will get to see the light of the day, the former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant explained, “I’m close. When God tells me that it’s done, then it’ll be done. I’ll feel it, you know?”
During the interview, Normani also teased that her first album would help her reintroduce herself, as she said that it’d be an “opportunity for the public to be able to get to know me in a way that they haven’t been able to before.” She added, “I feel hurt, sad, elated sometimes. I feel like I’m in my head. I feel not so confident. I just want to be able to show not only women, but people in general, that I am a human as well.”

  • AC/DC Frontman Underwent Therapy for More Than Two Years During Hiatus From Band

Brian Johnson opens up about the treatment and long process of recovery during his struggle with hearing loss when he took a step back from his band in 2016.
    Oct 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – AC/DC star Brian Johnson fought to control his hearing loss with the help of monthly meetings with an ear expert who used the bone structure in his skull as a receiver.
The “Thunderstruck” singer was forced to step away from the band during the Rock or Bust tour in 2016 after doctors told him he was putting his hearing at risk if he continued.
AC/DC drafted Axl Rose as a replacement as Johnson headed home and started a long process of restoring his hearing.
“It was pretty serious,” the rocker tells Rolling Stone. “I couldn’t hear the tone of the guitars at all. It was a horrible kind of deafness.”
A hearing specialist visited him once a month with a contraption he insisted would help Johnson at least get back in the studio.
“The first time he came down he brought this thing that looked like a car battery,” Johnson explains. “I went, ‘What in the hell is that?’ He said, ‘We’re going to miniaturize it’. It took two and a half years. He came down once a month.”
“We’d sit there and it was boring as s**t with all these wires and computer screens and noises. But it was well worth it.”

      See also…

Johnson kept his bandmates up to date with his progress and, when AC/DC founder Angus Young decided it was time to regroup for a new album, the singer was raring to go.
“It was with the boys in full battlefield conditions and it was smashing, brilliant,” Johnson adds. “I felt like I was a kid again.”
He wasn’t the only band member coming back from a debilitating condition – bassist Cliff Williams’ battle with vertigo prompted him to retire from music after the “Rock or Bust” trek.
“I had stuff going on while I was on the road, terrible vertigo,” he says. “For me, I just thought that it was my time… (Now I’m) a changed animal. I feel in my gut it’s the right thing.”
Williams, Johnson, and drummer Phil Rudd quietly returned for recording sessions in early 2019, and were spotted together in Vancouver, Canada.
The bass player admits Johnson and Rudd’s return convinced him to come out of retirement, “It was like the old band back together,” he says. “It was not like starting over again, but as close to the band that’s been together for 40-plus years as we can possibly make it. I didn’t want to miss that.”
AC/DC recently confirmed their comeback with the announcement of a new album, reportedly titled “Power Up”.
