    Instagram

On the song, which is included on his new album ‘Top’, the ‘Death Enclaimed’ rapper can be heard spitting his rhymes, ‘You hurt me deep when I was down on my lowest.’
    Sep 12, 2020
AceShowbiz – NBA YoungBoy a.k.a. YoungBoy Never Broke Again released his latest album “Top” on Friday, September 11 and immediately sparked chatter among social media users. One of the songs off the album, “To My Lowest”, particularly gains attention as several people suspect that the spitter is rapping about his ex Jania Meshell.
“You hurt me deep when I was down on my lowest/ I needed you, you ain’t give a f**k ’bout me growing/ All this pain I’ve been showing,” he raps on the chorus of the song. “It ain’t no reason another man should have to raise my son/ Can’t let you bleed and another man shouldn’t have to bust your gun.”
Fans are convinced that the song is about Jania after listening to the song. “Girl he cussing Jania down to the grounddd on To My Lowest, I’m knowing that song ab her,” one said. “Is it just me or? To My Lowest is definitely about Jania,” someone else wrote, as another echoed the sentiment, “To My Lowest most DEFINITELY about Jania.”
YB and Jania dated on-and-off for sometime. Their relationship made headlines after a video surfaced of the rapper body slamming his girlfriend in a hotel. YB was subsequently arrested and charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault. Not stopping there, the two were also caught in a back and forth online after YB confessed to having herpes because of her.
In response to the allegations, she said, “I didn’t give NOBODY S**T! This lying s**t getting OUT OF HAND and I’m sick of it. Anything for SALES I’m over it I DO NOT HAVE S**T.”
YB and Jania share a child together, a son named Kacey Alexander Gaulden.

  • Quiet Riot to Keep Playing as Band to Fulfill One of Frankie Banali's Final Wishes

    WENN/Derrick Salters

When confirming a string of upcoming shows, the rock band points out that Johnny Kelly has been doing a great job filling in on drums with the blessing from its late drummer.
    Sep 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Quiet Riot has pledged to continue rocking as a band following the death of Frankie Banali.
The drummer lost his battle with cancer last month (August) and now the bandmates he left behind have revealed one of his final wishes was for them to play on without him.
That means Johnny Kelly, who had been filling in for the sick Banali, will now become a full-time member of the band.
“It was Frankie Banali’s wish that the band continue and we keep the music and the legacy alive,” the group said in a statement, confirming a string of upcoming shows.

“Chuck Wright has been in the band off and on since 1981… Alex Grossi has been in the band since 2004, touring and recording. Jizzy Pearl has been a member of the Quiet Riot family since 2013, and Johnny Kelly has been doing a great job filling in on drums this past year with Frankie’s blessing.”
“We look forward to celebrating the history and legacy of Quiet Riot with all of you in 2021 and beyond.”

  • Demi Lovato Confronts Her Younger, Insecure Self in 'OK Not to Be OK' Music Video

The ‘Cool for the Summer’ hitmaker has collaborated with DJ Marshmello for a new empowering single titled ‘OK Not to Be OK’ to mark the World Suicide Prevention Day.
    Sep 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Singer and mental health advocate Demi Lovato has teamed up with DJ Marshmello to release a new single marking World Suicide Prevention Day.
“OK Not to Be OK” was released on Thursday (10Sep20) and Marshmello reveals the collaboration has been “in the works” for years.
“I met Demi, I think four years ago,” he tells Zane Lowe on Apple Music. “I actually played a party or something for her a while back and before I went on, it was at a hotel in L.A., and I went upstairs and met her before… And so we’ve known each other since then.”
“So this collaboration has kind of been just in the works, I would say, since we met about four years ago… She did the song and then I got it and it was just kind of piano and that’s about it. And so then I was like, ‘How can I create an instrumental that compliments the emotion of the song?’ ”
“In the beginning it’s very slow and stuff, so I made the instrumental very slow. And then during the hook, which is the resolve of the song, I kind of picked it up with the energy and it’s kind of like a little dance tune.”
The DJ admits he’s thrilled to be part of a song with such an important message.
“I think a lot of people with negative feelings and negative thoughts that are affecting them are kind of scared to bring it up, scared to talk about it,” he adds. “In reality, they’re scared because maybe the (other) person won’t relate or the person won’t understand, when in reality most of the time the person that you could bring it up to, has most likely felt like this or will understand or can relate as well. I think it’s very important to talk about it.”

The single’s release comes over two years after Lovato, who has been open about her own mental health struggles, suffered an accidental drug overdose at her home in the Hollywood Hills.
The new song’s accompanying video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, transports Demi and Marshmello back to their childhood bedrooms to confront themselves as younger, insecure kids.

  • TikTok Star Danielle Cohn's Mom Defends Her Against Backlash Over 'Foolish' Cover

    Instagram

In a since-deleted post, Jennifer Archambault insists that they already got a license to remake Ashanti’s song and that the singer and her team will get their royalties.
    Sep 10, 2020
AceShowbiz – Amid the backlash Danielle Cohn has been receiving over her new song, her mom has come to her defense and hit back at the critics. Jennifer Archambault recently took to her Instagram account to clear up the misunderstanding as she stressed that the TikTok star already got a license to remake Ashanti’s “Foolish”.
She said in the since-deleted post, “We got a license and went the right way and Ashanti and her team will get their royalties.” Slamming those who bashed her teenage daughter, Jennifer continued, “I am sicken [sic] at the amount of crap these people on the internet put her through. She out here living her dream and to have adults and kids attack her this bad.”
Jennifer went on praising her daughter over how “beautiful” she looked in the music video as she added, “I am even more proud of the way you handle the amount of hate you have gotten!!! It’s sad cause most people would not have been able to handle what she been going through.”
Danielle caught backlash after she promoted her “Foolish” remake as her own song and single instead of a cover. She tried to defend herself by mocking people for not knowing what cover is and pointing out that she is far from the first person to remake a song. “I just want to remake one of my favorite songs so can you just stop saying that I took her song when I didn’t? I even gave her credit and everything so… Just stop,” so she said at the time.
However, a number of people did not buy her explanation. “You know damn well you wasn’t trying to say it’s a cover as many other people have done. You deada** tried to make it YOUR song and sold MERCH with it and you put it on ITUNES. GTFOH!” one person said, as another wrote, “You deada** claimed it as your song and then said ‘inspired by’ like you didn’t just steal a song word for word you colonizer.”
