After being accused of stealing the songstress’ 2002 song ‘Foolish’, the social media star hits back at her critics by mocking them, ‘Do people not understand what a cover is.’
    Sep 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – Danielle Cohn has recently been dragged online as a lot of people accused the social media star of stealing Ashanti’s 2002 song “Foolish”. However, the star has since broken her silence and stated that she never stole the song as it was simply a cover, hitting back at her critics for accusing her like that.
Taking to her Twitter account, Danielle said, “Do people not understand what a cover is,” alongside a shrugging emoticon. She later took to Instagram Stories to further address the issue, saying, “Hey, guys, so I just wanna clear this up. So I did not steal Ashanti’s song or take it from her.” She added that she’s a big fan of Ashanti and simply wanted to make a remake of the song.
“Many people do it so I don’t really know why I’m getting hated for it,” she added. “I just want to remake one of my favorite songs so can you just stop saying that I took her song when I didn’t? I even gave her credit and everything so… Just stop.”

People did not buy her explanation though, pointing out that Danielle promoted “Foolish” as her new song and a single instead of a cover. Furthermore, the social media star made merch and claimed that she was “inspired” by Ashanti’s song rather than claiming that it was a remake.

“You know damn well you wasn’t trying to say it’s a cover as many other people have done. You deadass tried to make it YOUR song and sold MERCH with it and you put it on ITUNES. GTFOH!” one person said. “1.you said it was your song and never said cover till you got called out 2.you made merch for a song that’s not yours 3.you said it was ‘inspired’,even thought it’s literally a full on copy,” another pointed out.
Someone else commented, “B***h ! Dont you ever disrespect ashanti !!! You didnt even label it as a cover !!! Them unseasoned a** vocals b***h you need a pill and some prison !!!!” In the meantime, an individual wrote, “You deadass claimed it as your song and then said “inspired by” like you didn’t just steal a song word for word you colonizer.” Some other people urged Ashanti to sue Danielle.
Meanwhile, Ashanti herself hasn’t given her comment on this.

  • Dave Grohl Concedes Defeat to 10-Year-Old Girl in Drum Battle

    Instagram

The Foo Fighters rocker is challenged to an online drum-off by a little drummer to play along to the group’s 1997 song ‘Everlong’ from album ‘The Colour and the Shape’.
    Sep 6, 2020
AceShowbiz – Rocker Dave Grohl has conceded defeat to a 10 year old following an online drum-off.
Brit Nandi Bushell, who has become a viral sensation thanks to her skills, challenged the former Nirvana drummer to prove he’s still got it behind the kit by playing along to his current group Foo Fighters’ “Everlong” on YouTube – and asking Grohl to do the same.
“Dave Grohl, I challenge you to a drum-off,” she said, explaining in the video’s caption that her dream is to “one day jam with Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins and all the Foo Fighters!”
“Mr Grohl I would love to have a drum battle with you! I LOVE Everlong it’s really hard to play as it’s so fast but so much FUN!!!” she added.
Grohl responded in a video posted to the Foo Fighters’ Twitter page, stating, “Hey @Nandi_Bushell!. Challenge accepted. Haven’t played these songs in a loooooong time… thanks for the inspiration!!! Your move!!!”

“I’ve seen all your videos, I’ve seen you on TV. You’re an incredible drummer. I’m really flattered that you’ve picked some of my songs to do for your videos and you’ve done them all perfectly.”
Grohl later conceded that Nandi’s rendition of “Everlong” was better than his, but then set her a new challenge – to tackle the drumming in his former supergroup Them Crooked Vultures’ song “Dead End Friends”.

“Now the ball is in your court,” he said as he drummed along to the track.

  • 6ix9ine Responds to Blueface Calling His New Song 'Terrible'

    Instagram

Inserting himself in Tekashi and Lil Durk’s beef, the ‘Thotiana’ spitter slams the ‘GOOBA’ hitmaker in a comment section underneath an Instagram post about his ‘TUTU’ music video.
    Sep 6, 2020
AceShowbiz – 6ix9ine a.k.a. Takeshi69 has released a new album which is titled “TattleTales”. While some fans are digging for the set, some fellow hip-hop artists came at the “GOOBA” hitmaker and mocked his album. One of them was Blueface.
Inserting himself in Tekashi and Lil Durk’s beef, he slammed the former in a comment section underneath DJ Akademiks’ Instagram post about 6ix9ine’s “TUTU” music video. “This is terrible put lil durk on,” he wrote alongside a laughing and crying face emoji.
Tekashi caught wind of the shade and quickly fired back. He wrote in Instagram that he sold 12K in first week while Smokepurpp did 5k. Meanwhile, Quando Rondo did 3.5K. Concluding his message, Tekashi said, “Can’t Be Me.”
Tekashi and Lil Durk have been feuding in the past few days with Tekashi trolling Lil Durk for not releasing his upcoming album, “The Voice”, on the same day as “TattleTales”. The back-and-forth between the two rappers started as people thought that Lil Durk took a jab at Tekashi on “Laugh Now Cry Later”, on which he raps, “I’m in the trenches, relax/ Can you not play that lil’ boy in the club? ‘Cause we do not listen to rats.”
In response to Lil Durk seemingly calling him a “lil’ boy,” Tekashi said in a recent interview with Carl Lamarre of Billboard, “Lil Durk is on the same level as like, the G-Herbo (Lil Herb) kid.” He went on to say that any stranger would easily recognize him, but they wouldn’t know who G-Herbo is. “It’s no competition, man, it’s like little kids,” he added.
Further slamming Lil Durk, he mentioned that Lil Durk never scored a No.1 single like he had. “So what makes you think Lil Durk can f**k with me?” he asked. “When you don’t got money you know what broke people say? ‘Money don’t matter man.’ … If Lil Durk went to f***ing Argentina right now you think people would f***ing parade and say, ‘Oh my god!’ Who’s the bigger artist? It’s no trick question.”
