“And not only that but, you know, this situation was involving someone that I [am] extremely close to, so I just felt like on some loyal s**t, and on some do the right thing, you have to be responsible. Absolutely I’m changing up the record,” she added. Kehlani continued, “It was business and it was also loyalty to a situation. This is not an industry friendship. Aug 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – BTS a.k.a. Bangtan Boys has finally released a new song after a while, and fans of the K-Pop sensation are apparently so hyped over the tune they helped the boys break a new YouTube record. The seven-piece group has broken the record for the biggest premiere in the history of the video-sharing site after they released their English song “Dynamite” along with its music video.
The colorful visuals features the seven members dancing alone in various sets that include a bedroom, a diner, and a record store before they reunite to continue delivering the fun choreo against technopop background. The song itself finds the global superstars searching for happiness by spreading joy to the world with music and performances.
V sings at one point during the song, “Bring a friend, join the crowd, whoever wanna come along/ Word up, talk the talk, just move like we off the wall/ Day or night, the sky’s alight, so we dance to the break of dawn,” before RM chimes in with his bars, “Ladies and gentlemen, I got the medicine so you should keep ya eyes on the ball, huh.”
In addition to breaking the record for the biggest premiere on YouTube, “Dynamite” visuals became the fastest Korean group music video to reach 10 million views in 22 minutes. The record was BTS’ “ON” music video that garnered 10 million views in 62 minutes.
“Dynamite” will be included on BTS’ next album that is set to hit the stores later this year. In an interview, leader RM said of the song, “We just kinda met this song as destiny. When we first listened to the demo and lyrics and the vibes and everything was so perfect. We thought ‘Why not keep it this way [In full English]?’ Some have said things have changed and this is a new challenge for us as well. We’re giving a shot.”

  • Jay-Z Called Hypocrite Over 'Black Twitter' and 'Gucci' Lines on 'Entrepreneur'

    https://www.beyonce.com/

The Tidal owner raps at one point on his Pharrell Williams collaboration, ‘Black Twitter, what’s that? When Jack gets paid, do you?/ For every one Gucci, support two FUBUs.’
    Aug 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Jay-Z’s new song with Pharrell Williams prompted the rapper to get called out by social media users. He and his old friend have just released a black excellence anthem “Entrepreneur”, and some of his lines have successfully become a hot topic on the Internet as he came for Black Twitter.
He rapped at one point on the song, “Black Twitter, what’s that? When Jack gets paid, do you?/ For every one Gucci, support two FUBUs.” Even though Hov simply tried to tell the community that economic empowerment and creating opportunity is the key to lifting black people around the world, some people were baffled because hours before the song’s release, he was spotted on an outing with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.
“Jay just HAS to be a hypocrite in most situations. He can never navigate a situation without doing something hypocritical sncjcjcjc,” one person said. “After talking s**t about Black Twitter??” one other was in disbelief, while someone else was just as confused, “Didn’t this n***a just yell at us for using Twitter? I’m so?????”
Meanwhile, some others were bothered by the Gucci line. “Jay Z LOVES Gucci. To the point his own sneaker brand looked like Gucci sneakers. I love when my GOAT is hypocrite,” an individual said. “I hate Jay Z man. Lol. He said we’re on here tweeting and buying gucci when he’s literally having a stroll with Jack Dorsey in the Hamptons lmaoo,” one other commented, as another person chimed in, “Where’s Jay Z’s same energy for when him & his wife had been dripped down in Tom Ford??? Even named a song after Tom Ford… I’m so tired of the hypocrisy.. Lmao.”
The controversy aside, the release of the song was accompanied by a music video that featured the likes of Issa Rae and Tyler, the Creator. It also paused for a moment of silence for the late Nipsey Hussle.
    [embedded content]
Talking about the song in an interview, Pharrell said that the song was meant to describe how difficult it is to be an entrepreneur in the U.S. “Especially as someone of color, there’s a lot of systemic disadvantages and purposeful blockages. How can you get a fire started, or even the hope of an ember to start a fire, when you’re starting at disadvantages with regards to health care, education, and representation?” he said.

  • Hitting Back? Doja Cat Announces Her New Song Is Called 'NAS'

    Instagram

Even though the ‘Say So’ hitmaker makes it clear that ‘NAS’ is actually an acronym, a number of people are convinced that she will clap back at the male MC on the song.
    Aug 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Is Doja Cat going to hit back at Nas after he disses her? The “Say So” hitmaker recently held an Instagram Live session in which she revealed to her fans that she’d be releasing a new song next week. Interestingly enough, her upcoming tune is entitled “NAS”.
However, Doja made it clear that “NAS” is an acronym rather than a reference to the male rapper’s name and that she wrote the song before Nas released his diss track. “If you know what I’m talking about, then you know what I’m talking about. If you don’t, you don’t,” she said, before admitting that she looked kind of “evil” today.
Even though Doja didn’t reveal what “NAS” stands for during the Live session, a number of people already assumed that it stands for “N****s Ain’t S**t”. Some others, in the meantime, were convinced that she’s going to hit back at Nas even though she said the song was made before the diss song was released. “Oh she finna eat his a** up… Doja too cold to play with,” one person said. “oh she definitely edited her verse & directed the song towards him,” another assumed.
Nas previously took a jab at Doja through his song “Ultra Black. He rapped on the song, “We goin’ ultra Black, unapologetically black/ The opposite of Doja Cat, Michael Blackson black.” Nas was clearly referencing the “Moo!” rapper’s past controversy after a video surfaced showing her joining a group chat full of white supremacists. In addition to that, she was canceled due to her past song called “Dindu Nuffin”, which is considered a racial slur.
Doja herself has responded to the shade via a TikTok video. “I’m so offended and upset by this song,” she sarcastically said. “Have you guys heard ‘Fruit Salad’ by The Wiggles?”

  • NBA YoungBoy Accused of Copying Roddy Ricch's Debut Album Cover Art

However, there are also some people who come to YB’s defense as they point out that ‘The Box’ hitmaker isn’t the first one to create a black-and-white album cover.
    Aug 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – NBA YoungBoy a.k.a. YoungBoy Never Broke Again is gearing up for the release of his new album. Before the effort hits the stores, the hip-hop star shared on social media the cover art for the record, only to spark chatter among social media users as many of them thought that it looked very similar to Roddy Ricch’s debut album cover art.
The artwork for YB’s new album “TOP” showed him standing against a plain background as he donned a black shirt with a chain necklace. Fans pointed out that his pose looked oddly similar to Ricch’s pose in his “Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial” artwork, not to mention that both rappers were shown from the chest up in their respective artworks.
Not a few started criticizing YB following this realization. Someone called him “lame,” adding that he “really took Roddy Ricch whole album cover.” Meanwhile, an individual quipped, “NBA Youngboy : Can I copy your paper?’ Roddy Rich : Yeah just change it up a bit so it’s not obvious.” One other said, “Roddy Ricch when he saw the album cover for Nba Youngboy new album,” along with a video Soulja Boy dissing Drake, “He copied my whole f***ing flow, word to word bar to bar!”
“Youngboy should change the name he already stole Roddy’s cover,” another commented. “Roddy: hey mom do me and YoungBoy look the same,” one more person joked, as someone else said, “I thought this n***a roddy ricch was funna drop but I looked again and its youngboy.”
YB has yet to respond to the accusation, but some people have already come to his defense. For instance, one wrote, “Yall swear he took roddy rich album cover Roddy rich isnt the 1st person on earth to create a black and white album cover but yall still gone be the first ones listening to his album smh.” There was also an individual who said, “everybody saying Youngboy copied Roddy Rich’s album cover but they look absolutely nothing alike. one has a GREY background the other has WHITE background. y’all blind fr.”

    Aug 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Country singer Parker McCollum has pulled out of two socially-distanced concerts after testing positive for COVID-19.
The “Pretty Heart” star, 28, had been due to perform at Britt’s Farm in Manhattan, Kansas on Thursday night (20Aug20) and headline the first night of the Weedstock festival in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Friday, but he’s since had to cancel the appearances to enter a 14-day quarantine.
Breaking the news to fans online on Wednesday, he wrote in part, “After realizing this morning that I could not taste or smell anything at breakfast, I went to get tested for covid (sic) and the results came back showing I was positive for the virus.”
“My deepest apologies to the fans and the venues who were counting on me to perform. I absolutely believe that the shows should go on and I wish more than anything I could be there to play them.”
He captioned the note, “Can’t say sorry enough for letting y’all down this weekend. All I want to do is be on stage again…”
Ironically, organisers behind the three-day Weedstock event had come under fire from Stillwater’s mayor and some locals for pressing on with the annual show amid an ongoing national spike in coronavirus cases.
