    Blake Shelton Steps in to Help Fans Get Refunds for Canceled Tour

    The country music star has responded after fans reach out to him on social media to complain about having issues when they seek refunds for his scrapped tour.

    AceShowbiz – Country superstar Blake Shelton has stepped in to help fans seek refunds for his scrapped 2020 concerts following a series of social media complaints.
    Like many other musicians, the singer was forced to cut short his Friends and Heroes Tour in March (20) due to the coronavirus pandemic, which brought the live entertainment industry to a standstill.
    At the time, the affected shows were listed online as postponed, with a new date to be determined, but that meant ticketholders wouldn’t qualify for refunds, as they were only offered their money back if events had been cancelled altogether.
    Fans sick of waiting for make-up dates to be announced have been appealing to Shelton via Twitter to help them resolve the issue, and on Wednesday (12Aug20), he responded to a series of messages by insisting the tour had been officially axed – so refunds should be available at the point of purchase.
    He quickly learned that wasn’t the case with some vendors, and subsequently had his representatives intervene to try and resolve the “awful” problem so those wanting refunds could easily claim their money back during these uncertain times.
    “Bottom line is the tour IS and HAS been cancelled since March…,” he tweeted. “Get your money back people. Let me know on here how it goes over the next few days. This is terrible.”
    “Doing my best to do whatever I can to clear this up. I certainly DO NOT want to be responsible for holding up anyone’s tix (ticket) refund especially right now!”
    He later returned to the site to assure followers his managers were in touch with multiple vendors and “working on this ticket refund thing”, adding, “it’s a web for sure and I don’t think it’s any one persons fault (sic). It’s been a nightmare and confusing year for everyone at every level.”
    Shelton subsequently provided details for ticketholders to seek refunds, and asked anyone requiring further assistance to email his team at [email protected]

    AceShowbiz – New mum Ciara had the cast and crew of her “Rooted” video on high alert during filming as the R&B star was just two days away from giving birth.
    The “Level Up” hitmaker welcomed son Win with husband Russell Wilson on 23 July (20), but just 48 hours earlier, she had been singing and dancing around on set, showing off her heavily pregnant belly.
    Ciara, who was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, dropped the promo early on Thursday (13Aug20) and took to social media to share the surprising news with fans.
    “ATL bred I’m #Rooted,” the 34 year old wrote as she recited a line of lyrics, adding, “Shot this video 2 days before delivery, Covid style! Out now!”

    The song serves as a message of empowerment to the black community, and the accompanying video features a closing message to young activists amid the Black Lives Matter movement.
    Referencing civil rights leaders Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr., it reads, “To all my young Rosa’s and young Luther’s (sic), keep marching. Don’t stop fighting for what you believe in.”
    “To all my Black queens and kings, continue to plant and spread seeds of love, hope and pride in your tribe. Everything you need to survive and thrive is rooted in you. Stay rooted.”
    The promo also includes brief cameos by Ciara’s six-year-old son Future Zahir, from her romance with her ex-fiance, rapper Future, and her three-year-old daughter Sienna, whose father is American football star Wilson.
    Following “Rooted” launch, proud husband Wilson posted a gushing note to his wife on Twitter, praising her strength and work ethic.
    “Love you @Ciara,” he began. “What you mean to not only me and the kids but people from all over the world. The fact that you shot this amazing video only a few days before delivering Baby Win shows why you are the best in the world. Stay #Rooted.”
    The couple wed in 2016.

    AceShowbiz – Cardi B is hitting back at Carole Baskin after the “Tiger King” star slammed her for using big cats in her new “WAP” video.
    The rapper’s claws are out after Baskin took aim at her raunchy promo, in which Cardi appears alongside Megan Thee Stallion, accusing the reality star of murdering her missing husband.
    “I’m not gonna engage with Carole Baskin on that,” Cardi told i-D. “Like, that’s just ridiculous, you know? Oh, Lord. Like, girl you killed your godd**n husband.”
    In hit 2020 Netflix docu-series, Baskin’s rival Joe Exotic alleges she murdered her husband, Jack Lewis, who went missing in 1997. Baskin has denied any involvement in his disappearance.
    The “WAP” promo features a menagerie of wild animals, including tigers and leopards, and while the big cats were filmed separately and digitally inserted into the video, Baskin, the CEO of Big Cat Rescue near Tampa, Florida, expressed her concerns about the use of the creatures in a statement.
    “My guess is that most people won’t even see the photoshopped cats in the scenes because the rest of it is so lurid,” she said. “I was happy to see that it does appear to all be photoshopped. It didn’t look like the cats were really in the rooms with the singers.”
    Despite the safety steps, however, Carole insisted the shooting process could still be damaging to the big cats, explaining, “You have to pose a wildcat in front of a green screen to get that image and that doesn’t happen in the wild. It can’t happen in sanctuaries like ours, where cats have plenty of room to avoid a green screen (or would shred it if offered access and could die from ingesting it).”

    The clip features Legend hugging his wife from behind as she cradles her growing belly.

    The stars have yet to directly comment on the apparent baby news, but after its premiere, Teigen retweeted a post on the Vevo account, which read, “@johnlegend and @chrissyteigen drive us ‘Wild’ in the heartfelt visuals for John’s latest song with @garyclarkjr! Be sure to watch it now for a beautiful surprise!”
    She also posted a smiling heart emoji, indicating the pregnancy news is true.
    The couple, which wed in 2013, already shares daughter Luna, four, and son Miles, two.
    Teigen has previously been open about her fertility struggles and their efforts to conceive via in vitro fertilisation.

    AceShowbiz – Tupac Shakur was planning to rock the rap world and leave Death Row Records before he died, according to Keyshia Cole.
    The singer claims she was with the hip-hop icon in Las Vegas on the day he lost his life in a drive-by shooting incident and he told her of his plans to leave music mogul Suge Knight’s label.
    “I actually did know him (Tupac),” Cole told [Fat Joe] during a recent Instagram livestream. “He wanted to sign me to Quincy Jones when he was with Kidada, Quincy’s daughter, and he was gonna leave Death Row and go to sign with Quincy. He wanted me to go over there because he said that Death Row was not the place for kids.”

    “He died when I was 16… My brother and Pac used to rap together in The Outlawz. We all drove to Vegas from L.A. Pac was in the car with Kidada. Suge was in the car. My brother was in the car. We was in our car. We were kids though. He just didn’t like that, you know what I mean? It was just, like, a lot of drama around that time.”
    Shakur was assassinated in September 1996, aged 25.

    The star joined the platform in an effort to interact with her supporters and address rumours directly earlier this month, teasing she would use the site to offer exclusive footage.
    “I’m doing a partnership with only fans,” she posted on Twitter. “Everytime some1 start a rumor I will be addressing it there (sic)… what else should I post besides rumors and behind the scenes? Maybe a video of me cleaning my home with my nails?”

    Now, Cardi has taken to the subscription service, known for its often provocative content, to share unreleased footage from the making of “WAP”, which also features Megan Thee Stallion and a cameo from Kylie Jenner.
    The post comes after the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker reassured fans on Tuesday, August 11 that she has lowered the monthly price of site access from $10 (£8) to $4.99 (£4).

    Cardi B informed fans that she has lowered the monthly price for the access to her account.
    “Ummm I did not know my onlyfans was charging ten dollars …I’m bringing it down to 4.99,” she tweeted. “Ya spend too much on vinyls and my merch coming next week.”
    Rapper The-Dream, YouTube star DDG and Blac Chyna, are among the other names who have also been relying on OnlyFans bosses to help them correct falsehoods and break news in recent months.

    Hank will follow in the footsteps of his namesake dad, who was among the first inductees in 1961, when he is officially honored in the Veterans Era Artist category.
    Dillon has been named in the Songwriter section and Stuart has bagged recognition as a Modern Era Artist.
    In a press release, Hank says, “(I’ve) been eyeing this one for awhile. It’s a bright spot during a difficult year.
    “I have been making Top 10 records for 56 years. I fell off a mountain and tried to reinvent myself as a truly individual artist and one who stepped out of the shadows of a very famous man…one of the greatest. I’ve got to thank all those rowdy friends who, year after year, still show up for me. It’s an honor to carry on this family tradition. It is much appreciated.”

    Dillon admits news of his honor left him “speechless,” adding, “Trying to soak in the words that I had just heard. My life flashed before my eyes. You could’ve knocked me over with a feather.”
    Meanwhile, Stuart, who will be inducted by his singer wife Connie Smith, calls the accolade “the ultimate honor in Country Music.”
    “I’m so honored to be included in this class and I’m honored to be included alongside Hank Jr. and Dean Dillon,” Marty adds. “I love those people. To be officially inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame is beyond words. I’m usually not at a loss for words.”
    Historically, the CMA hosts a press conference at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee to reveal the new class of inductees, but this was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the stars recorded their own reactions remotely.
    The three country stars are the 140th, 141st and 142nd people to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
