  • Jesy Nelson Credits Lockdown for Giving Her Much-Needed Break From Little Mix

    WENN

Jesy says she enjoyed having her ‘own space and time’ from bandmates during the coronavirus lockdown following the group’s hectic schedule in the past few years.
    Aug 2, 2020
AceShowbiz – Jesy Nelson couldn’t help but appreciate having space from her Little Mix bandmates during the coronavirus lockdown.
The 29-year-old star, who released new single Holiday with Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall last week (ends26Jul20), admitted it was “horrible” being away from her Little Mix bandmates for so long, but told U.K. TV show “This Morning” there were some benefits.
“It’s horrible, we’re like family now, so to not be with them for this long has been horrible but I have seen them and it was amazing, because they’re like my sisters,” she shared.
“In the same aspect, it was quite nice to have our own space and time, because we never get time to just chill and just do nothing, so that was quite nice.”
Jesy, who split with beau Chris Hughes right before going into isolation, also spoke about filming the video for the new single without her bandmates, due to social distancing regulations.
“It was so weird. The minute I got to the studio everyone had to have their temperature checked, there were people in these bodysuits, these visors,” she recalled.
“Our make-up artists and our hair (stylists) had to have these suits on. It was the weirdest experience ever, but it was fun, but it’s amazing how they’ve done it. You would never know that we’ve been superimposed in the video, so it’s very cool.”

The ‘Un-Break My Heart’ hitmaker invites fans to hit the ‘Dance’ floor with her newly-released single which is taken off her upcoming studio album ‘Spell My Name’.
    Aug 2, 2020
AceShowbiz – R&B superstar Toni Braxton returned with new single “Dance” on Friday (31Jul20), taken from her forthcoming album “Spell My Name”.
The new record, which comes just two years after the star released her Grammy-nominated ninth album “Sex & Cigarettes”, features 10 tracks, including previous single “Do It” and collaborations with Missy Elliott and H.E.R.
Taking to social media to promote the record, which is available to pre-order now ahead of its 28 August release, Toni simply captioned a post of the album cover, “#TakingOutNegativeInfluence.”

While the star didn’t explain the caption, it appeared to be a message of defiance after her sister Tamar opened up on her recent overdose and suicide attempt, as she blamed “toxic” people in the reality TV industry for her mental health issues.
Tamar, who also enjoys a successful music career, was hospitalised in Los Angeles on 16 July (20) after her boyfriend, David Adefeso, found the 43-year-old unresponsive in her hotel suite.
She spent days in a coma but has since regained consciousness and is currently being treated for mental health issues, amid reports suggesting she had taken a concoction of alcohol and prescription pills
Toni has been quiet on her social media pages amid her sibling’s health scare, but posted for the first time since 7 July on Wednesday, as she shared a picture of herself and her sisters.
“Family is everything! Especially sisters!” the “He Wasn’t Man Enough” star wrote.

  • Lady GaGa and Ariana Grande's Rose Bowl Show Axed Amid Concerns Over Potential Distancing Violations

    Instagram

The ‘Rain on Me’ duo was originally scheduled to appear at ‘Drive ‘N Drag’ but their gig has been scrapped as organizers are afraid the crowd will break social distancing rules.
    Aug 1, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lady GaGa and Ariana Grande’s surprise appearance at a drag show on Friday night (31Jul20) has reportedly been canned after The Chainsmokers hit headlines for breaking social distancing rules at a recent gig.
The superstar pair were set to appear at Voss Events’ Drive ‘N Drag show at Los Angeles’ Rose Bowl but, according to the New York Post’s gossip column Page Six, their guest roles were axed by venue bosses at the last minute.
“Gaga really wanted to do it, but the Rose Bowl pulled the plug because of what happened in the Hamptons,” a source told the outlet. “They feared that once the crowd realised who it was, they would run toward the stage, not social distance, and they feared they’d lose their license.”
New York governor Andrew Cuomo and the state’s health commissioner are currently investigating, after footage of The Chainsmokers’ performance in Southampton, New York, earlier this month was shared on Twitter, and appeared to show crowds entirely ignoring social distancing guidelines by gathering together in huge groups.
The Chainsmokers – duo Alex Pall and Drew Taggart – have yet to respond to the controversy on their social media pages.

  • Jack Harlow Denies JW Lucas' Credit in Hit 'Whats Poppin' After Controversial Breonna Taylor Remarks

    Instagram

The 22-year-old quickly distances himself from the hip-hop producer in a now-deleted tweet after the latter lands in hot water for his comments about the murder of the black woman.
    Jul 31, 2020
AceShowbiz – Jack Harlow wants no part in JW Lucas’ drama. Shortly after the latter came under fire for his controversial comments on the murder of Breonna Taylor, the rapper distances himself from hip-hop music producer, who is credited as one of the producers for his hit “Whats Poppin”.
On Thursday, July 30, the 22-year-old artist claimed that he ever met with Lucas and denied that the producer was one of the creative minds behind his chart-topping single. “I’ve never met or spoken to that JW Lucas person. And he didn’t even produce WHATS POPPIN. Jetson and Pooh made it. That’s all,” he wrote in a now-deleted tweet.

Jack Harlow distanced himself from JW Lucas.
Harlow’s claim is contradicting the fact that Lucas has always been listed as producer alongside Jetson Made, Pooh Beatz as well as Los the Producer in the song’s credits. Lucas has not responded to Harlow’s tweet.
The music producer started catching flak earlier on Thursday after he posted a tweet in which he seemed to justify the murder of the 26-year-old black woman. He wrote on the micro-blogging site, “Why is the world asking for justice for #BreonnaTaylor…of course she shouldn’t have lost her life….but do you realize that she was involved with multiple drug dealers who were using her house as a trap spot? If you sign up for that life there are consequences.”
The backlash was almost immediate, but Lucas did not think he said anything wrong and defended himself during an Instagram Live session. Responding to people who accused him of being a white supremacist, Lucas said, “That ain’t me. I don’t give a f**k about what color skin I have.” He then lashed out at people who said that he was canceled because of his tweet.
He later got into a heated argument with activist Tamika Mallory and proudly stated that he should be a leader of the Black Lives Matter movement because he believed that he’s more capable than her.
