  • Carrie Underwood to Offer First Christmas Album in September as Personal Gift

Weeks after revealing that she has been using the coronavirus lockdown to work on her holiday record, the ‘Blown Away’ hitmaker unveils the motivation behind ‘My Gift’.
    Jul 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Carrie Underwood has teased her first Christmas album with a new rendition of holiday favourite “Little Drummer Boy”.
“My Gift” is set for release on September 25 and will feature new and traditional songs inspired by faith.
“I love music, I love singing,” she says. “That is my personal gift that I have that I get to do… and I want to use that gift and I want to give it back to Jesus.”
Underwood, who first revealed she was working on a Christmas album in June, has also released the cover art for “The Gift”. It features a shot of the country star wearing a crimson dress as she stands in a winter wonderland.
Much of the album was recorded during the coronavirus lockdown.
“Now more than ever we all need to focus on what Christmas is about, rely more on our family and even though it has been a tough year sometimes I feel like the greatest realisations can come during the worst times or the most stressful times,” she says. “And it makes you more thankful for the things that you do have.”

Underwood previously recorded classic Christmas tunes like “Do You Hear What I Hear” and “O Holy Night” for a special holiday edition of her “Carnival Ride” album, which she released as a Walmart exclusive in 2008.

  • Is Drake Hitting Back at Pusha T on 'Only You Freestyle'? Listen!

The Canadian rapper spits his bars on his collaboration with U.K. rapper Headie One, ‘Don’t make me have to fly my iTunes/ So much people buy into my hype.’
    Jul 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Remember when Pusha T appeared to diss Drake on Pop Smoke’s “Paranoia”? It looks like the Canadian hip-hop star has come up with his response when U.K. rapper Headie One released his collaboration with Drake, “Only You Freestyle”, on Monday, July 20 along with its accompanying music video.
“Don’t make me have to rise my rifle/ Man try send some young boys for me/ Don’t make me have to ride by high school/ S**t, you man been droppin’ lately/ Don’t make me have to fly my iTunes/ So much people buy into my hype/ Don’t make me have to buy my hype, too,” the “God’s Plan” rapper spits his bars in Patios dialect, presumably referring to Pusha.
Besides Pusha, Drake apparently comes after Kanye West too as he claims that the latter hides behind Pusha. “Dealt with the big homie already/ Don’t make me have to side-by-side you/ Nuff times he tried to hide behind you/ Amnesia but when I remind you/ I’m touchin’ road and I can’t find you,” he raps, making people think that the “big homie” in the verse is Kanye.

Earlier this month, Pusha sparked chatter after he appeared to throw a shot at Drake on Pop Smoke’s “Paranoia” that was supposed to be included on the late star’s album “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon”. It failed to make the cut because of a glitch and has now been confirmed to be added to an upcoming LP.
In the song itself, Pusha made a reference to a city near Drake’s hometown of Toronto. “I might even buy a home out in Mississauga/ On my walls, half scrawls of Tshabalala’s/ Many doors, that are sprawled, they my il nana’s,” so he rapped. “Make a call, she gon’ crawl, Bad Gyal Patra/ I’m involved then absolved, I am Godfather, hush.”

  • Travis Scott Responds to T-Pain Claiming He Fell Asleep During Studio Session: 'I Was Blasted'

    WENN

T-Pain previously went viral after he revealed that the ‘Sicko Mode’ rapper fell asleep when he ‘started going in about how I do production’ during their joint session.
    Jul 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Travis Scott (II) is setting the record straight. Following T-Pain’s claims that stated he fell asleep during their joint studio session, the “Sicko Mode” hitmaker denied the accusation in the latest episode of his radio show “.Wav”.
Telling what exactly happened at the time, the rapper stressed that he was just perpetually high during their joint session, “So I went to the stu, I think I was playing some joints. I played some of “Astroworld”. Like letting him know where I was at. I think he started playing some joints. At the end of the day, I’m blasted.”
Travis continued explaining, “So I wasn’t sleeping in the stu. I don’t know if he thought I was asleep. Bro, I was blasted.” He also made it clear that he doesn’t have any bad blood with T-Pain despite the latter’s claims, saying that it was “all love.” The “Wash Us in the Blood” rapper even went into a mix heavily featuring the “Jerry Sprunger” spitter.
T-Pain made the claims during his Twitch stream earlier this month, recalling the time when he was inspired to make some beats after hearing “Astroworld” tracks. “I started going in about how I do production. The whole time I’m looking at my computer. … Then I turned around. Everybody in the room [was] f**king asleep. Knocked the f**k out,” the winner of “The Masked Singer” season one said. “Travis is also somehow asleep standing up. Don’t know-how. Can’t f**king tell you. Don’t know what the f**k happened. Bro, I was only talking for like three or four minutes.”
His story quickly went viral, with a lot of people standing up for T-Pain. However, the rapper later let it be known that he didn’t hold grudges against Travis. “Come on y’all,” he said. “It ain’t that serious. S**t happens all the time. Me and @trvisXX cool.”

  • Artist of the Week: Jawsh 685

The Auckland teen is bewitching music fans with his ‘Siren Beat’ as he starts viral trend, racks up tens of millions of views, and rules the charts around the world.
    Jul 20, 2020
AceShowbiz – At just 17 years old, Auckland teen Jawsh 685 has become a global sensation. The Kiwi producer dominated music charts around the globe with his catchy instrumental “Siren Beat”. His addictive music caught the attention of Jason Derulo who later used it for “Savage Love”.
The remix initially sparked issues between the two artists as Derulo released his version without obtaining clearance for the sample. The U.K. singer reportedly wanted the song for himself and only to have Jawsh as a producer, but the teenager put his foot down.
They eventually resolved their feud. Jawsh was finally credited as an artist, co-writer, and sole producer. On top of that, “(Laxed – Siren Beat)” was added to the title of the revamped track.
The “Siren Beat” trend started on Tik Tok, amassing tens of millions of views. Even Dame Judi Dench was seen dancing to the beat in a cute video posted by her grandson Sam Williams. “It really helps small artists like me, because I wasn’t big at the time and getting it on TikTok helped people recognise it,” Jawsh said in an interview.

From the social media, it exploded on the charts with the Derulo remix. It recently spent a second consecutive week at the first spot on the U.K. singles chart, ruled the charts in at least seven other different countries, and reached top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“It’s still shocking to just be a kid from South Auckland and all of a sudden, bang, you’re collabing with one of the world’s biggest artists,” the young musician said of his newfound fame. “It’s still hitting hard to me, still find it shocking.”
The teenage musician, real name Joshua Christian Nanai, becomes the third New Zealander to score No. 1 single in the United Kingdom, following Lorde with ‘Royals” and Kimbra with “Somebody That I Used to Know”. He continues to polish his music skills while finishing high school. He has been signed to Sony Music and hopes to collaborate with more big names in the industry.

  • August Alsina Called Out Over Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith Diss Song 'Entanglements'

    WENN

People come to the ‘Suicide Squad’ actor’s defense after the ‘No Love’ singer releases a track that makes reference to his affair with the ‘Gotham’ alum.
    Jul 20, 2020
AceShowbiz – Social media users are not here for August Alsina’s new song “Entanglements” featuring Rick Ross. Attempting to cash in on his affair with Jada Pinkett Smith, the 27-year-old singer released the diss track aimed at the 48-year-old actress and her husband Will Smith over the weekend.
In the song, August details his sexual relationship with the “Matrix” star. “I’m bein’ honest baby, don’t want no strings attached,” he sings. “You just want a n***a that’s gon’ break your back/ I’m half? No, I ain’t ’bout to play with that/ You left your man to f**k with me, just to pay him back/ Don’t you know that’s cold-hearted?”
    [embedded content]
But people are not impressed with August’s song, calling him “petty” and “disrespectful” for making the song about his “entanglement” with Will’s wife. Taking the “Bad Boys for Life” actor’s side, they took to social media to blast the “I Luv This S**t” crooner.
“Will Smith doesn’t deserve all this disrespect, I dey feel second hand embarrassment for the man. August Alsina na actual b***h n***a,” one person reacted to the song on Twitter. A fan of Will wrote, “Somebody tell Will Smith if he needs me to bounce August Alsina for the disrespect I got him! ‘Entanglements’ F**K OUTTA HERE.”
Also coming to Will’s defense, a third person commented, “Bruh Will Smith didn’t deserve this kind of disrespect. He’s a first ballot hall of fame entertainer.” Another person told August to move on from the scandalous affair, writing, “August Alsina should move on please. I know breaking up with him sucked, but that Entanglements song is just pure trash.”
“August Alsina is really petty yo! He made a song about entanglements with Rick Ross. Just peep the lyrics.. I wonder how Will Smith will be feeling right now!” someone else called out the R&B star, while another tweeted, “August Alsina deserves a double headshot from Deadshot for that song.” Someone else added, “August Alsina made a song tilted ‘Entanglements’ about Jada and the lyric is disrespectful asf. Will Smith don suffer oo.”
Will himself has seemingly taken all the drama surrounding Jada and August’s relationship in stride. Poking fun at it, he released a video on Sunday, July 19 that hilariously illustrated how 2020 has treated him so far.
In the Instagram clip, the 51-year-old actor told a man on the rooftop to drop a box that he had been holding because Will wanted to help out too. However, the man was unwilling and asked the actor to just leave him be, to which Will declined. In the end, the man finally agreed and threw the box when Will already turned his back around. Unaware of it, he got hit by the box in the head.

    WENN

Many people agree that the offensive song ‘does not deserve a platform’ in the slightest bit, prompting them to urge streaming sites to remove it from their platforms.
    Jul 20, 2020
AceShowbiz – Haters and trolls will always be there to attack celebrities even when they do not do anything wrong. Zayn Malik is currently experiencing this after fans discovered an old, offensive song that attacked the British singer. It led them to urge streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music to remove the song from the sites.
The song itself is titled “Zayn Did 9/11” and is performed by Uma Kompton, an infamous troll who made a lot of offensive remarks in the past. In the song itself, which was released back in 2017, Uma can be heard singing, “Zayn did 9/11/ Zayn did 9/11/ Zayn did 9/11/ Don’t bomb those buildings, bomb this p***y.”

Even though Zayn has yet to comment on the song, many people have already come to his defense to the point that the hashtag “Remove it for Zayn” started trending on Twitter. One of them said on the micro-blogging site, “The amount of racism and hate people showed to Zayn.. It’s unbelievably disrespecting.. No one really cares huh? Zayn is the most kind and good person in the world..he’s gone through islamophobics, racists. It’s awful and disgusting.. Don’t just tweet, Report.”
