  • Ozzy Osbourne Keeps Himself Busy With New Album Amid Parkinson's Disease Battle

    WENN

According to his manager wife Sharon Osbourne, the Black Sabbath rocker is doing great as he is getting stronger and keeping himself occupied in the studio.
    Jul 19, 2020
AceShowbiz – Ozzy Osbourne and producer Andrew Watt have returned to the studio to create a second album.
The heavy rocker had so much fun working with Watt on his 2020 comeback album, “Ordinary Man”, he has recruited the young knob-twiddler for his next release, which is already taking shape amid Ozzy’s Parkinson’s disease battle, according to his manager wife Sharon.
During an appearance on “Steve-O’s Wild Ride!” podcast, Sharon gave an update on her husband’s health and career, stating, “He’s starting his second album with Andrew Watt right now and you can’t stop him. He’s doing it.”
And she insists her husband is still committed to completing the farewell tour he was unable to finish following a fall at his home that dislodged rods in his spine, because he wants to “end it his way.”
“He still had a year to do of that tour and there were seats sold for the next year, but the accident stopped it all,” Sharon added. “But he said it’s not gonna end just like that… and he’s gonna go back out. And even if it’s just one huge show to say goodbye, he’s going to do it.”
The fall in January 2019 aggravated injuries he sustained from an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident in 2003. He required surgery and was forced to postpone his farewell tour until 2020. He cancelled the rescheduled dates, to receive treatment for Parkinson’s disease, but they never materialised as planned due to the COVID crisis.
“He’s getting stronger every day,” Sharon said. “He’s doing really, really good. He’s had a terrible, terrible injury. At one point, they thought he would never walk again, but he is – he’s walking and he’s doing great. He’s been hit by so much medically, but he’s doing good.”

  • Boosie Badazz Dragged for Saying R. Kelly Is Better Than Michael Jackson, Prince

    WENN

During a new interview, the rapper is confident that no one in the world, including the late King of Pop and Beyonce, can beat the disgrace singer in a versus battle.
    Jul 18, 2020
AceShowbiz – Michael Jackson has always been regarded as a King of Pop who made a lot of great hits, but in Boosie Badazz’s eyes, the late star is apparently no better than R. Kelly. The rapper, who’s also known as Lil Boosie, has successfully sparked debate after he claimed in an interview that the disgrace singer is better than the likes of MJ and Prince.
Boosie was discussing the whole entanglement thing between Jada Pinkett Smith and August Alsina with Vlad TV when Kelly’s name was suddenly brought up. “By the way, nobody can go on a versus battle with R. Kelly in the world,” he said. “Michael Jackson, no! Beyonce, no! Nobody’s got more hits than R. Kelly.”
Then, the interviewer suggested that Stevie Wonder could still beat Kelly, but Boosie denied the possibility right away by saying, “Stevie Wonder can’t f**k with R. Kelly!” He added, “I know he f***ed up, but when it comes to talent, we cannot take this away from R. Kelly, ’cause you don’t take it away from Michael Jackson.”
Boosie went on heaping more praises to Kelly, saying that the latter “started a generation.” He then insisted Kelly is better than MJ once again, before bringing Prince into the discussion. When the interview asked whether he put Kelly over Prince, Boosie proudly answered, “Yes! I only know ‘Purple Rain’ f**k what else I know!”

However, near the end of the interview, Boosie said that he “might get dragged” over his remarks, and it appeared his prediction was right. “Boosie seems to forget MJ had hits since he was 7,” one said, while another was convinced that the rapper “lost his mind” because “MJ has hits on a whole different level.” Someone else commented, “Man, he’s overdosing with all that jewelry with that argument! R. Kelly has nothing on any of them! Young buck! Lol!!”
One individual wrote, “You have to be on crack to think R Kelly would beat MJ in a hits battle, lmao. Maaaaan, STOP it. MJ was a GLOBAL icon with WORLDWIDE hits, R Kelly isn’t even in the same universe.” There was also someone who said, “Boosie delusional on this one.. he’s hypnotized by R Kelly music.”

  • Drake Appears to Rap About Baby Mama Sophie Brussaux on DJ Khaled Collab 'Greece'

    Instagram

Meanwhile, on another new song he releases with the record producer, the Canadian rapper name-drops a lot of celebrities, including Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber.
    Jul 18, 2020
AceShowbiz – Drake might have used one of his new songs with DJ Khaled to give his baby mama, Sophie Brussaux, a shoutout. People are convinced that the Canadian hip-hop star is referencing the model on “Greece”, which made its way out on Friday, July 17.
In the first verse of the song, Drake can be heard rapping, “Speedboats, baby, in Nikki Beach/ Waves in my ears, smokin’ weed (Oui, oui)/ Whippin’ through the sand in a Jeep (Oui, oui)/ All because of what I did on beats, baby.” Even though Drake doesn’t name names in this verse, Nikki Beach is the holiday spot that Sophie frequents to. Last December, she was seen at the luxury beach club with her friends.
Not stopping there, the fact that there’s a part where Drake raps in French has successfully raised many people’s eyebrows. They assume that Sophie, who is French, was the one who taught the “Hotline Bling” rapper how to pronounce the words since he sounds so fluent on the song.
    [embedded content]
“Greece” will be included on Khaled’s upcoming album “Khaled Khaled”, whose release date has yet to be announced. Besides “Greece”, the two hip-hop stars have also unveiled another collaboration entitled “Popstar”. While Drake keeps things vague on “Greece”, it is not the case with “Popstar”. The “God’s Plan” hitmaker name-drops a lot of celebrities, including Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber.
Not only Ariana and Justin, but Drake also shouts out the pop superstars’ manager, Scooter Braun, on the song. “You would probably think my manager is Scooter Braun, yeah/ But my manager with twenty h**s in Buddakan, yeah, ayy,” he spits his bars. “Look, Ariana, Selena, my Visa/ It can take as many charges as it needs to, my girl/ That s**t platinum just like all of my releases, my girl.”
    [embedded content]
Elsewhere on the song, Drake makes “The Bodyguard” references. He raps, “Bodyguards don’t look like Kevin Costner, you tweakin’/ Just pulled up to Whitney Houston, Texas for the evenin’.”

  • Teyana Taylor Blames Kanye West After Mykki Blanco Blasts Her for Unpaid 'WTP' Feature

    Instagram/WENN/Instagram

Teyana insists that she has nothing to do with Mykki not being paid for the 2018 feature, writing, ‘Sorry to burst ya bubble but FREE is actually KANYE’S management/team.’
    Jul 18, 2020
AceShowbiz – Teyana Taylor and Mykki Blanco are beefing on Twitter over “WTP” feature salary dispute. On Friday, July 17, the latter took a jab at the pregnant star in an Instagram post in which she claimed that Universal Music has still not been paid for her feature fee for the song which was released back in 2018.
“Can you believe it’s been two years and Universal Music has still not paid me my feature fee for this song? Can you believe it took 1 year with the help of my lawyer to get credited on the song, because it did. I wrote on and co- produced this track as well as writing the verse that [Kanye West] literally raps on ‘Hurry’. Is that a big accomplishment to write for other artists NO, this isn’t about clout,” so Mykki wrote in the post.
She also accused Teyana’s team and Universal of treating her “WITH SO MUCH DISRESPECT, THEY HAVE TREATED ME BAD YALL… REALLY BAD, I HATE DOING THIS ON SOCIAL MEDIA BUT I HAVE HAD IT!!!!!” Mykki added, “It’s a pandemic, like so many musicians I’m completely out of work. I’m doing writing jobs here and there but almost all of my income like so many others stems from touring. I’ve had it, I didn’t want to go public but the way I have been treated is really, really, really bad. These people have been flippant, rude, they have lied, delayed, found me ‘harmless’ and ‘inconsequential’,” before asking fan to “NOT STREAM ‘WTP’.”

In response to the claims, Teyana wrote on her Twitter account, “@MykkiBlanco @kanyewest @UMG @defjam y’all figure this s**t out and keep my pregnant a** outta this,” alongside a statement in which she put the blame on Kanye “because he put Mykki on the song. I had no clue he was on the song until played it for me the day before my album release party.”
Teyana continued that Mykki’s issue “should be with the person/people who put actually put and or/asked him to be on the record” and noted that she’d always had issue with how her album “K.T.S.E.” was handled. The “Wake Up Love” singer then blasted Mykki, “Mykki u wack for how u going out, cause YOU KNOW I have nothing to do with this & YOU KNOW I PERSONALLY made sure you was properly taken care on my end. … But I guess because Kanye is the bigger artist…. You save his a** because you don’t want the smoke from the man who took my original feature off to keep you on it without my approval.” She referred to “Pose” actor Dashaun Wesley.
“& the audacity to say ‘this is not to bad mouth Teyana’ but in the same nutshell, have people on here placing all of the blame on me & my team?! Okay, got it. Say less. I’m too pregnant and too old for this messy s**t,” she concluded.

Teyana Taylor denied being responsible for the feature fee dispute.
In response to that, Mykki wrote to Teyana that she had her own receipts of Teyana’s side “LITERALLY IGNORING MY MANAGER, IGNORING MY BUSINESS MANAGER/ACCOUNTANT AND IGNORING MY LAWYER. Teyana don’t play me, this DOES NOT ALL FALL ON KANYE. Just own your side and move on.” In another tweet, Mykki said, “IT’S A PANDEMIC, NOBODY CAN TOUR OR PLAY SHOWS. YES I’M COUNTING MY COINS AND YOUR TEAM REPEATEDLY DID ME DIRTY. I WAS “INCONSEQUENTIAL FALLOUT’.”

Mykki Blanco accused Teyana and her team of ignoring her emails and doing her dirty.

Mykki went on a rant on Twitter.
However, Teyana still insisted that she had nothing to do with Mykki not being paid for the feature. “Sorry to burst ya bubble but FREE is actually KANYE’S management/team. FREE is on the good music side of things. U keep tryna blame my mom/manager for something she had nothing to do with but when she was made aware, she instantly worked to get the situation rectified for YOU,” she said to Mykki.
As Mykki continued to accuse Teyana and her team of doing her dirty, Teyana claimed in one tweet, “Even tho I don’t like how u handled me, I will make sure the LABEL get you paid. NOW that i know. Good day.” She then concluded the back-and-forth, “Ima end it like this. Real simple. STOP STREAMING WTP. #StopstreamingWTP @UMG @kanyewest pay her & keep me out of the drama. I don’t bother anybody. I’d like to continue my unproblematic life in peace.”

Teyana defended herself before asking people not to stream ‘WTP’.
Meanwhile, she explained why she misgendered Mykki in her tweets. “I wasn’t aware that she is now a trans women. The last time I’ve seen/met her which I’ve only seen/ met her 2 times in my whole life. she wasn’t transitioning yet. That was damn near I think 2 years ago,” she clarified.

AceShowbiz – Rapper Logic’s next album “No Pressure” will be his last as the star confirms he’s retiring from the music industry.
The 30-year-old musician, real name Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, announced the shock news on his social media pages on Thursday (16Jul20), alongside the artwork for his new album “No Pressure”.
Sharing that the record, due for release on 24 July (20), has been executively produced by No I.D., he penned, “Officially announcing my retirement with the release of No Pressure executive produced by No I.D. July 24th.”

  • Original Lady A Refuses to Be 'Token Person' to Make Lady Antebellum 'Look Woke'

    Instagram/WENN

The blues singer Anita White says sometimes all black people have is their name as she is fighting Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood, and Hillary Scott in moniker dispute.
    Jul 17, 2020
AceShowbiz – Blues singer Anita White, known professionally as Lady A, is refusing to give up her name without a fight.
The band formerly known as Lady Antebellum recently announced plans to adopt the moniker, acknowledging that the word ‘Antebellum’ has close ties with slavery, leading to objection from White, who has performed as Lady A for years.
While they initially appeared to reach a mutual agreement, things turned nasty last week (ends12Jul20) when bandmates Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood, and Hillary Scott accused White of trying to cash in on the situation by demanding $10 million (£8 million) to stop performing as Lady A and filed a lawsuit against her.
Speaking with ABC News Prime, White insisted she’s, “built this name for decades before they were born, and I’ve been building it,” as she compared the “grind” of independent musicians to the struggles Black, Indigenous people of colour (BIPOC) face.
“Sometimes all we have is our name,” she stated. “We don’t want to have that taken from us. Our culture gets taken, our music gets taken. This is more important for those that come behind me.”
The musician went on to say she felt “disregarded” and ignored when she asked the country act’s lawyers what exactly it meant to co-exist on three separate occasions, insisting, “I’ve put out five CDs under Lady A. They have not put one CD under Lady A. That’s their nickname. This is my professional name.”
Despite admitting she was initially excited about the prospect of working with the “Need You Now” trio, she concluded that she didn’t believe their intentions were sincere and conceded she wasn’t willing to check the box to be the “token person so that you look woke.”
