  • Young Thug Chides Pusha T for Using Pop Smoke's Song to Diss Drake

    WENN

The ‘Stoner’ hitmaker disapproves of the GOOD Music president’s bars of their collaboration with the late rapper in which he throws shade at the Canadian star.
    Jul 8, 2020
AceShowbiz – Young Thug refuses to be dragged into the Pusha T and Drake drama. After reports emerged that the former member of hip-hop duo Clipse dissed Drizzy in a song that was supposed to be featured on Pop Smoke’s posthumous album “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon”, Thugger has blasted his collaborator on social media.
Taking to his Instagram Stories on early Tuesday, July 7, Thugger said he wasn’t aware at the time that Pusha was taking aim at the Canadian superstar in the song. He wrote, “I don’t respect the pusha t verse on the song with me and gunna cause I don’t have nun to do with y’all beef nor does Gunna.”
Claiming that he would never approve it, the “Danny Glover” spitter added, “and if I knew that was about him I would’ve made changes on our behalf.” He went on calling out the president of Kanye West’s record label GOOD Music for using the song to fan his feud with Drake, writing, “This rapper s**t so gay.”

Earlier this month, Hip-Hop Lately revealed that Pusha was going to be featured on Pop Smoke’s album in a track called “Paranoid”. In his verse, he takes a shot at Drake, referencing a 2018 incident during a Toronto concert.
“You know reality bites/ It’s chess not checkers/ Those empty threats only sound good on your records/ If the patois is not followed by blocka/ It’s like marked for death Screwface, without the choppa/ Let ’em rush the stage when you made like Sinatra,” Pusha raps, potentially referencing Drake’s use of the dialect and a 2018 incident when several men rushed the stage during Pusha’s “Daytona Tour” show in Toronto.
In another part of the song, he mentions Mississauga, the neighboring city to Drake’s hometown of Toronto. “Only to find the blade, flyin’ back through LaGuardia/ I might even buy a home out in Mississauga/ On my walls, half scrawls of Tshabalala’s/ Many doors, that are sprawled, they my il nana’s,” he spits his bars. “Make a call, she gon’ crawl, Bad Gyal Patra/ I’m involved then absolved, I am Godfather, hush.”
Responding to the news, a fan wrote in an Instagram comment, “Why’d y’all take off thug. I always said I wanted to hear both of them on a track. rip wooski.” Steven Victor, the head of Pop Smoke’s label Victor Victor Worldwide, later replied, “glitch will be on ASAP.”

  • Report: Rihanna Ditches Ninth Album for Skincare Business Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

    WENN

Seeing that the situation right now is not ideal to release a new album, the ‘Diamonds’ songtress reportedly has decided to concentrate on ‘becoming a beauty billionaire’ instead.
    Jul 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – Rihanna is shifting her priorities amid the coronavirus pandemic that has greatly affected show business, including music industry. Seeing that the situation right now is not ideal to release a new album, the Barbadian songstress has reportedly decided to shelve plans for her ninth album to focus on her skincare business instead.
Reporting Rihanna’s alleged goal is The Sun (via Daily Mail). According to the British publication, its sources say, “Rihanna’s ninth album is on hold indefinitely. She wants to make her millions with beauty and is planning a new skincare line to go alongside her Fenty Cosmetics range.”
“Her lingerie range has gone down so well too that she feels she needs to strike while the iron’s hot,” the so-called insiders go on explaining. “Whenever she drops pics of her modelling the gear, sales go up.”
“Fans hopes for [a ninth album] will be kept on hold while Rihanna builds her beauty empire as she plots to become the next beauty billionaire,” the insiders further reason. “She’s realised there is more money in the beauty game than music as record sales die down and live touring faces big competition.”
The news outlet additionally claims that the “Umbrella” hitmaker, who is now based in England, has trademarked a new line called Buff Ryder to achieve her goal.
Reps for Rihanna have not responded to request for comment on the report.
Rihanna’s fans have been long waiting for her new album since she last released her eighth studio album “Anti” in 2016, often going to her Instagram posts to troll her about it. In 2018, she announced that she would release a new album by the end of 2019, but that didn’t happen.
The 32-year-old singer later hinted in December 2019 that she had been working on her new album. In March of this year, she surprise released “Believe It” with PARTYNEXTDOOR, marking her first new music since 2017, but her fans still wanted more.

  • Ringo Starr Spills Real Reason Why The Beatles Walked Away From $250 Million Reunion Offer

The drummer of The Fab Four will get together with former bandmate Paul McCartney to celebrate his 80th birthday on July 7 with a virtual YouTube concert for charity.
    Jul 6, 2020
AceShowbiz – The Beatles once walked away from a multi-million dollar offer to reunite for a one-off concert because the opening act was “a guy biting a shark.”
Drummer Ringo Starr claims The Fab Four were offered $62.4 million (£50 million) – worth around $250 million (£200 million) in today’s money – back in 1976 to stage the comeback show, just five years after they parted ways.
He discussed the idea with Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and George Harrison, but they were ultimately deterred from accepting showman Bill Sargent’s deal by the odd warm-up act, which involved a man wrestling an 18-foot (5.49 metre) long Great White.
“We did talk (about reuniting) one time,” Ringo told Britain’s The Sunday Mirror.
“There was a crazy offer out there. We called each other to see what we think. We decided not to do it because the opening act was a guy biting a shark. So we thought, ‘No.’ ”
According to the rocker, it was the only offer the band had seriously considered before Lennon was shot and killed outside his New York home in 1980.
Harrison later died of cancer in 2001, but had they both still been alive, Ringo is sure the gang would have got back together eventually.
“If John and George had not died there was surely a possibility of that,” he mused. “Paul and I are still on the road. John would have still been on the road. I don’t know about George. We’d still be doing what we love to do.”
Ringo will be reuniting with McCartney to celebrate his 80th birthday on Tuesday (July 07) with a virtual YouTube concert for charity. Also on the bill for the “Ringo Starr Big Birthday Show” are Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark Jr., Sheila E., and Ben Harper, while tribute performances will come from Steve Earle, Peter Frampton and Judy Collins.

Tune into the star-studded bash from 8 P.M. ET on the birthday boy’s YouTube page (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqESxycliXwDheOseXqmq8w).
