The Grammy-winning femcee proves her innocence by posting a video of her showing the date of when she started working for Offset’s ‘Clout’, saying, ‘I WROTE THIS SONG IN JANUARRYYY.’
    Jul 1, 2020
AceShowbiz – Cardi B is having a heated back-and-forth with TikTok rapper Dela Wesst after the latter came up with allegations that the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker stole her bars for Offset’s “Clout” and Blueface’s “Thotiana (Remix)”. Not letting anyone taking her credit, Cardi quickly clapped back and pulled out her receipts.
“@iamcardib BE BOUT IT, BABY. You mean to tell me you just CONFIRMED you are 100% aware of the stealing of my lyrics, BUT THEN GON STILL FIND A WAY TO EVADE THE SUBJECT?! KNOT today, Satan. #DelaWesst #TheOGCopy,” Dela first started the online spat on Tuesday, June 30.
In response to the allegations, the Bronx star wrote back to Dela, “First of all you weird a** b***h u been trying me for hot minute .You really cross the line when u stalkin my fans page and put this s**t on a pic of me & my kid .SO YES THATS I’m bringing my kid.”
She added in a separate alongside a video of her showing the date of when she started working for the track, “Second of all you dumb b***h you ranting for day cause you claim I stole lyrics from you on clout .I WROTE THIS SONG IN JANUARRYYY ! You show me you did your clout song in January b***h you might have a chance.I rhyme clout with Oscar the grouch b***h is not farfech it RHYMES!”
“Then you claim I stole thotiana from you when you put your freestyle one day after WACK ANNOUNCE I’m on the remix of a song I been record it that I WROTE and RECORD IT infront of blue face & Wack,” Cardi continued, before asking Dela to “stop WITH YOUR S**T .Never Hurd about you b4 you started using my name for tic too .Stop chasing clout and chase a bag and a dentist like I DID SIS !”

Dela Wesst called out Cardi B for allegedly stealing her bars.
Further making things complicated, Dela fired back to the Grammy-winning rapper. “Starting a record in January does not mean you finished that record in January. I clearly wrote this the day before you debuted it the internet. I didn’t hear the section of the song THAT EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT. I am also not hearing by any ‘CLOUTS’ in the verse,” she argued, to which Cardi responded, “jUsT cAUsE yOu sTArTED the song iN jAnUARy don’t mean you finished it THEN WTF IS THIS THEN B***H ! Sit down you weirdo clown .Talkin about you coulda dm me B***H did you dm b4 you did like ten videos of me poppin s**t? Or them 30 tweets about me talkin s**t?”
“You posted your lyrics on the other post it said February 6 my lyrics are from January 9th ..Goodbye sweety your DISTURB.Clout chase from somebody else.CLOWN now go do a video about THAT!” the wife of Offset said to Dela who insisted that “the lyrics from CLOUT are almost IDENTICAL to my lyrics in Thotiana.”

Cardi continued to have a heated exchange with Dela.
However, Cardi seemingly wasn’t planning to further entertain Dela and ended the exchange. “That was fun! …I’m getting off the internet for a couple days see ya when I see yaaa …..BYEEEETAAAAAAAA,” she wrote in a tweet.

  • Kanye West Addresses Police Brutality in 'Wash Us in the Blood' Music Video

    [embedded content]

In the music video for his collaboration with Travis Scott, Breonna Taylor, who is one of the victims of police brutality, is seen showing off her dance moves.
    Jul 1, 2020
AceShowbiz – Kanye West is taking the opportunity to address police brutality through his new music video. On Tuesday, June 30, the rapper and fashion mogul released a new song called “Wash Us in the Blood”, which is a collaboration with Travis Scott (II), along with its accompanying music video.
It opens with footage of a white officer having a confrontation with a black protester before the scene changes to show people wearing masks and struggling to breathe. At one point in the Arthur Jafa-directed visuals, Breonna Taylor, who is one of the victims of police brutality, is shown dancing. The video concludes with a clip of Ye’s daughter North West playing around during a Sunday Service rehearsal.
The song itself finds Ye and Travis rapping about searching for salvation for the sins in their community. “Take some, rain, nonstop, rain don’t want war/ Rain come, rain come/ Come shine, come rain, come up,” Ye raps. “Rain down on a pain/ Rain down on the slain/ Rain down on my mom.”
“Wash Us in the Blood” marks the first single off Ye’s upcoming album, “God’s Country”, which will be a follow-up to his gospel albums “Jesus Is King” and “Jesus Is Born”. In an interview with GQ magazine, the “Famous” rapper said of his new record, “I was thinking of not rapping again, because I rapped for the devil so long that I didn’t even know how to rap for God. Then one of my pastors told me, ‘My son just said that he would want a rap album about Jesus from Kanye West.’ ”
He continued, “He didn’t say, ‘Kanye West, you should do this,’ or ‘you need to do this.’ He just told me something that a child said. And that one thing made the difference.”
It’s still unclear when Ye is going to release “God’s Country”.

  • Pop Smoke's Team Promises Change to Virgil Abloh's Cover for Debut Album After Backlash

    Instagram/WENN/Will Alexander

Many fans of the 20-year-old rapper, who was shot and killed in February, have deemed the 39-year-old artistic director of Louis Vuitton lazy over his designed artwork.
    Jul 1, 2020
AceShowbiz – Virgil Abloh’s cover for Pop Smoke’s debut album is to be changed, after fans slammed the “lazy” artwork online.
The 39-year-old artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear collection unveiled the cover, a grayscale picture of Pop Smoke surrounded by diamond roses and barbed wire, on his Instagram page on Monday, June 29, in a post which has since been deleted.
Captioning the snap, he wrote: “the last conversation i had with @realpopsmoke was about what we were gonna do in the future. this album cover was one of like 5 things we talked about. He mentioned his story felt like the metaphor of a rose & thorns growing from the concrete of his hood in Canarsie, Brooklyn.”
“In your memory, I just finished it yesterday. As evidence of the whole idea, the t-shirt insinuates it’s mandatory we put an and (sic) to this cycle of violence that plagues us, we need to shoot for the moon & aim for the stars.”

However, many fans of the 20-year-old rapper, who was shot and killed in February, were quick to criticise Virgil for the image, with one remarking that the image used is the same as the first picture that comes up when Pop Smoke is image searched on Google.
“This is lazy. Pop Smoke deserves better,” another wrote.
Minutes later, a petition was created on Change.org to get the artwork changed, with the description reading: “Virgil deada** was wild lazy with Pop Smokes Album cover and he needs to fix it.”
And heeding the backlash, Steven Victor, the head of the Victor Victor Worldwide label that signed Smoke, tweeted that the album cover would be changed and will be ready for the July 3 release of “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon”.

Steven Victor responded to backlash over Virgil Abloh’s cover design for Pop Smoke’s debut album.
“HEARD YOU,” he tweeted. “MAKING A CHANGE. POP WOULD LISTEN TO HIS FANS!”.

  • Pop Smoke's Posthumous Album Art to Undergo Change After Backlash Over Virgil Abloh's Design

    Instagram/WENN

People are calling out the Louis Vuitton designer for his ‘lack of creativity’ behind the making of the cover for the late rapper’s upcoming debut album.
    Jul 1, 2020
AceShowbiz – Anticipation for Pop Smoke’s upcoming debut album has been marred by criticism of the album’s cover art. On Monday, June 29, Steven Victor, the head of late rapper’s label Victor Victor Worldwide, teased the upcoming record by debuting the cover art, which was designed by Virgil Abloh, but the reaction was almost unanimously negative.
People are calling out the Louis Vuitton designer for his “lack of creativity” in making the cover art, with one commenting, “Wow look like the fair spray paint shirts. Issa a no. RIP Pop Smoke.” Another slammed the famed designer, “Virgil doesn’t keep anything 100. This is a 50%. Resubmit it for full credit, sir.”
An online petition has been launched demanding a change on the album’s artwork, with the petition creator writing, “Virgil deada** was wild lazy with Pop Smokes Album cover and he needs to fix it.” One person who signed the petition shared, “I’m signing because this n***a Virgil is an artistic terrorist.” Another chimed in, “Never let this n***a touch a computer ever again.”

It didn’t take long for Pop’s team to respond to fans’ outcry. Listening to their demand, Steven hinted that the album cover will undergo a redesign. “BRB. MAKING A CHANGE,” he tweeted, adding, “POP WOULD LISTEN TO HIS FANS.”
Hours before, Steven revealed that it was Pop’s wish to have Virgil create his album artwork. “you were always shootings for the stars and aiming for the moon. everything we talked about is happening, the only thing is you’re not here in the flesh to see it all come together. you wanted Virgil to design your album cover and lead creative.. Virgil designed the album cover and led creative..,” he wrote on Instagram while unveiling the cover. “we love you and miss you more and more each day.”

The album itself, which will mark Pop’s debut studio album, is set to be released on July 3 and the date likely won’t be affected by the cover’s change. The 19-track set will serve as the follow-up to the “Welcome to the Party” spitter’s mixtapes “Meet the Woo” and “Meet the Woo 2”.
