  • Eminem Issues Statement About 'Unnecessary' Revolt Diss in Leaked Song

    Instagram

Joe Budden also addresses the matter in the latest episode of his ‘Joe Budden Podcast’, saying, ‘But this is an old verse. Mal is right, you don’t get offended by old verses.’
    Jun 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – Eminem recently sparked feud with Sean “P. Diddy” Combs’ Revolt TV and Joe Budden after his 2019 song titled “Bang” emerged online. The song saw Slim Shady slamming both Revolt and Joe, who serves as the host of “State of the Culture”, prompting Revolt to hit back at Eminem. Now, Em took to his Twitter account to issue a statement regarding the matter.
“I agree with Revolt… this is an unnecessary distraction,” he wrote in the statement on Wednesday, June 24. “I never meant for the verse to be heard, I was heated in the moment and thought better of it and decided to pull it back.”
“Stuff that I never intended to release continues to leak from the huge WeTransfer hack. I don’t have any issues with Revolt,” he went on saying. “I’d actually welcome the opportunity to work with them on some positive things and turn this in a different direction.”

In the said track, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, could be heard rapping, “Shout to Puffy Combs/ but f**k Revolt/ Y’all are like a f***ed up remote/ Now I get it why our button’s broke/ ‘Cause you pressing him but do nothing though, especially when it comes to punches throne.”
Em later touched on Joe’s infamous incident with Migos rapper’s Quavo, Offset and Takeoff at the 2017 BET Awards. “Tell this journalist stick to the stuff he knows, like always running, from Migos,” he continued to rap.
In response to the diss, Revolt fired back at the Detroit rapper. “F**k you too Eminem,” it said, before writing in the caption, “Back to our regularly scheduled program.”
Joe also addressed the matter in the latest episode of his “Joe Budden Podcast”. “Listen, I was one hundred percent prepared to come on here and scream on Paul [Rosenberg] cause I thought Paul leaked this,” he said.
“I was prepared to come on here and tell Paul and Em to read the room. Now’s not the time for all of that. But this is an old verse. Mal is right, you don’t get offended by old verses. And two, I don’t think anybody’s on that right now. I don’t think Em is on that, I don’t think my Slaughterhouse brothers is on that. I don’t think anybody is on that side right this second. I feel safe speaking on that, I won’t tell you why I feel safe speaking on that but I do,” he continued.
“That’s not really where the focus is right now,” Joe added. “That’s not where our concern is, or where it should be. It’s way to much important s**t going on right now. Even if I was going to come in here and start screaming, I’m not rapping so that’s not fun. Nothing about this is fun. It’s more power in the unity.”
“I’m going to assume we were taking some baby steps to try to reach unity with some of the behind-the-scenes conversations that were taking place. So, nah, this is not thirty-five year old Joe that’s going to come and fuck everything up cause I’m mad about some old s**t. I’m going to be mature — I’m forty. Great verse!” he concluded.

    Jun 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Linkin Park is considering a comeback featuring unreleased material Chester Bennington recorded before his death.
The band announced a hiatus following the singer’s suicide in 2017, and now band leader Mike Shinoda has revealed there’s one completed Bennington song, “Friendly Fire”, that might eventually be released when the group gets back to business after the coronavirus lockdown.
“There was a song, a (album) ‘One More Light’ song,” he says. “We mixed more (songs) than (feature on) the finished album and we mixed a couple other songs just to see if one of them would make the cut or whatever (sic). Or if we could use it for a B-side, and it was ‘Friendly Fire’.”
“I still love that song. Is that out somewhere? Did we put ‘Friendly Fire’ out at some point? We didn’t, did we?”

The news comes weeks after Grey Daze, the band Bennington was part of early in his career, shared a video for their new single, “B12”, which features their late frontman, who was recording music for a reunion record when he died.
Meanwhile, Shinoda’s Linkin Park bandmate Dave Farrell revealed the group had started work on new material ahead of the coronavirus crisis.

  • Seal Thanks Late Director Joel Schumacher for Making 'Kiss From a Rose' Famous

    WENN/Maria La Torre

The Grammy-winning singer says he owed his career to the late ‘Batman Forever’ helmer as he fondly remembers the filmmaker in the wake of his recent passing.
    Jun 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Singer Seal has shared a heartfelt tribute to the late filmmaker Joel Schumacher after he used his track “Kiss From a Rose” over the end credits of “Batman Forever”.
Schumacher, 80, lost his battle with cancer on Monday, June 22, 2020 and, taking to Instagram, Seal performed a short acoustic rendition of his signature song before explaining how the director managed to turn his flop second album, “Seal II”, into a massive hit.
According to the star, Schumacher reached out to see if Seal had any music that might fit a love scene in “Batman Forever” between Val Kilmer’s Bruce Wayne and Nicole Kidman’s Dr. Chase Meridian. While Seal said he didn’t, his manager Bob Cavallo sent Schumacher a copy of “Seal II” and placed an asterisk next to “Kiss From a Rose”.
“The next day, Joel came back and said, ‘Look, I’ve temped it in the love scene, it doesn’t work, but I love the song so much, I’m just gonna stick it on the end credits.’ And four Grammys later and another eight million albums, we always knew,” Seal joked, adding, “Well, the reality of the situation is, nobody knew, except I guess for Joel, who had faith in the song.”
Along with adding “Kiss From a Rose” to the end credits of “Batman Forever”, Schumacher made a video for the song, mixing leftover footage from the film with shots of Seal under the iconic Batlight.
Seal quipped, “Subsequently, kids thought I was Batman because the song was so big!”
“I owe my career I guess in large part to Joel Schumacher, who took a chance,” he concluded. “Who took a song that was always a good song, but a kind of unconventional one, so it wasn’t immediately palatable.”
“I just want to say, I love you, Joel, thank you so much for everything you’ve done for me and the joy and the love that you brought to millions of people around the world. One day we’ll all meet again back home.”

The Black Lives Matter songs ‘Black Parade’, ‘I Can’t Breathe’, and ‘The Bigger Picture’ are selected for this year’s summer playlists on the music streaming service.
    Jun 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – New tracks from Beyonce and H.E.R. reflecting the global Black Lives Matter protests have been selected by Spotify chiefs among those likely to dominate users’ summer playlists.
Beyonce’s surprise release “Black Parade”, which she debuted on Friday, June 19, 2020 alongside a campaign to promote black-owned businesses, makes the service’s Songs of Summer list – compiled using streaming numbers, future forecasting and input from Spotify’s global curation team.
Also on the rundown is H.E.R.’s “I Can’t Breathe”, which is named after one of the current slogans of the BLM movement, referencing the last words of African-American man Eric Garner before he died at the hands of police in 2014, and also uttered by George Floyd, whose death in similar circumstances in Minneapolis, Minnesota last month, May 2020 sparked the current wave of protests.
Lil Baby’s “The Bigger Picture” is another new protest track making the list, with older releases “This Is America” by Childish Gambino and “Alright” by Kendrick Lamar also tipped to dominate playlists throughout summer 2020 due to their social justice themes.
Beyonce features on the list for a second time as her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion on the rapper’s “Savage Remix” is also selected alongside DaBaby and Roddy Ricch’s “Rockstar”, which has topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.
Other tracks selected include “Watermelon Sugar” by Harry Styles, “TKN” by Rosalia and Travis Scott, as well as Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s collaboration “Rain on Me”.

    Jun 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Eminem made headlines after the original version of his verse of The Machine’s “Bang” from 2019 emerged. In the leaked track, he could be heard spitting bars against Sean “P. Diddy” Combs’ media company Revolt as well as rapper/TV host Joe Budden.
“Shout to Puffy Combs/ but f**k Revolt,” so Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, raps. “Y’all are like a f***ed up remote/ Now I get it why our button’s broke/ ‘Cause you pressing him but do nothing though, especially when it comes to punches throne.”
Em later touched on Joe’s infamous incident with Migos rapper’s Quavo, Offset and Takeoff at the 2017 BET Awards. “Tell this journalist stick to the stuff he knows, like always running, from Migos,” Slim Shady continues to rap.
Revolt caught wind the diss track and didn’t mince its words in their response. Taking to its official Instagram account, the company fires back at the Detroit rapper. “F**k you too Eminem,” it said, before writing in the caption, “Back to our regularly scheduled program.”

The response, however, got mixed reactions from its followers. “this is supposed to be a neutral news provider hahaha . the white boy got yall out your professionalism hahahhaha,” one criticized. “This is too Corny,” another fan wrote with one other simply adding, “Unfollow.”
“Lmao oh y’all mad mad,” another user added, while someone else brought Nick Cannon, who is beefing with Em, in the mix. “Maybe you guys should have nick cannon on !! Heard he gots bars,” the person suggested.

Joe Budden cryptically tweeted following the leakage of ‘Bang’.
Joe, who serves as the host of “State of the Culture” on Revolt, meanwhile, has yet to publicly comment on the shade. However, not long after Revolt responded to Eminem, Joe wrote on Twitter, “Joe loves everybody!” It remains to be seen whether it was really directed as Eminem or not.
