The Grammy-winning dance music group became the fourth act ever to be honoured with a stone on the monument in the city’s Camden neighbourhood.

I thought it would be alright but it got really nostalgic and did bring back a lot of memories,” DJ Jazzie B said at the unveiling of their award on Friday, March 06 on behalf of the band. “Forever, whatever, it will always be London for me. A happy face, a thumping bass, Camden I love you.”

Queen, Whitesnake and Slipknot Pull Out of Shows Over Coronavirus Concerns

    WENN

Queen are working out with promoter to reschedule their May concert in Paris, while Whitesnake postpone their Japan tour and Slipknot back out of their entire upcoming Asian tour.
    Mar 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – Queen, Whitesnake and Slipknot have postponed shows due to growing coronavirus concerns.
Queen have been forced to reschedule a May concert at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris, France, following a government decree to cancel all indoor events over 5,000 capacity until 31 May in an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, while Whitesnake and Slipknot have pulled entire tours to protect bandmates and crew.
Queen are “currently working with the promoter to try to reschedule the date”, according to a statement. “We will make a further announcement at the earliest opportunity,” it reads. “Please keep hold of your tickets, which would be valid for the new date.”
No other Queen + Adam Lambert shows have been affected at this time, but Whitesnake and Slipknot are not taking any chances, pulling tour dates.

A spokesman for David Coverdale’s band says: “We regret to announce that Whitesnake’s Japan tour which had been scheduled for March has been unavoidably postponed due to the ongoing threat of the coronavirus. We deeply apologise to all parties concerned, especially those customers who bought tickets and have been looking forward to the Whitesnake shows.”
Slipknot have also postponed their entire upcoming Asian tour, including their two-day Knotfest Japan festival, citing “global health concerns”.
“The safety and well-being of the band’s fans always comes first,” a statement reads. “Furthermore in this case, the bands and artists, crew and local employees are also equally effected, and as such, this was the only responsible decision that could be made.”

Whitesnake and Slipknot follow Green Day, who scrapped Asian dates earlier this week., while Sons of Apollo have axed the remainder of their European dates, claiming “governments have decided to shut down venues, restrict events, limit flight destinations, with no certainty for us and our promoting partners and that our shows can be guaranteed to happen (sic)”.

Slipknot cancelled their show due to Coronavirus outbreak.

Meanwhile, city officials in Austin, Texas have shut down next week’s (begins March 09) SXSW festival due to the coronavirus spread, which to date has infected 100,000 people around the world.

Christina Aguilera's New 'Mulan' Soundtrack 'Loyal Brave True' Stresses 'Vulnerability and Strength'

    Instagram

Speaking of her return to her Disney roots 22 years after singing ‘Reflection’ for the 1998 original movie, the ‘Dirrty’ songstress tweets, ‘ ‘Mulan has been such a special part of my life and this is a beautiful continuation of the legacy.’
    Mar 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – Christina Aguilera has made a return to her Disney root with a new soundtrack for “Mulan”. More than two decades after lending her voice to “Reflection” from the 1998 original movie, the five-time Grammy Award winner sings about “vulnerability and strength” in “Loyal Brave True”, which has been released on Friday, March 6.
“My new song, ‘Loyal Brave True,’ represents the fine balance between vulnerability and strength,” the 39-year-old hitmaker said in a statement. “The film ‘Mulan’ and the song ‘Reflection’ coincided with getting me my first record deal. It’s amazing to come back to such an incredible movie that’s full of power and meaning, and that meaning holds the test of time: staying true to yourself, being who you are, and teaching how to be fearless.”
“Loyal Brave True”, which integrated classic Chinese instruments to orchestral melodies, has Jamie Hartman, Harry Gregson-Williams, Rosi Golan and Billy Crabtree as its writers. Hartman has also served as the soundtrack’s producer, while the upcoming movie’s director Niki Caro helmed its music video which is scheduled for release later in March.

The song hears Christina belting his powerful vocal in the chorus which dealt with the titular character’s self-doubt. “Should I ask myself in the water what a warrior would do?/ Tell me underneath my armor, am I loyal, brave, and true?” she croons. “Losing is easy/ Winning takes bravery/ I am a tiger’s fool/ Out in the open/ No one to save me/ The kindest of whispers are cruel.”
Aside from “Loyal Brave True”, Aguilera has recorded a new version of “Reflection” for the new movie that will come out in theaters on March 27. Through her social media account, she shared with her followers, “#Mulan and #Reflection have been such a special part of my life and this film is a beautiful continuation of this legacy.” She added, “And the #LoyalBraveTrue single is out now! Hope you love it as much as I do.”

On why Aguilera was once again chosen for the soundtracks, Walt Disney Studios president of music and soundtracks Mitchell Leib explained, “Her original performance of ‘Reflection’ from the animated film when she was a then 16-year-old unknown holds its appropriate place in the history of music and was a launch pad for her unparalleled career that would follow. … I think these songs will touch today’s moviegoers in that powerful way we saw 22 years ago.”

In their released statement, the country group announce that they will not fly to the U.K. and Ireland for the three-venue festival, claiming that the safety of their team is their top priority.
    Mar 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – Country group Old Dominion have pulled out of performances at the 2020 C2C Music Festival due to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus.
The bandmates released a statement on Friday, March 06, revealing they would not be making the trip to the U.K. and Ireland for the three-venue festival, headlined by Darius Rucker, Eric Church and Luke Combs, later this month (March 13-15).
They have also scrapped shows in Germany, Holland, Ireland, and the U.K.
“With growing uncertainty and (the) unpredictable nature of the virus that is spreading throughout the world, the safety and security of our entire team is the top priority,” the statement from the group reads.
The Shires will replace Old Dominion, making them the first U.K. artists to perform on the C2C main stage.
The festival is now in its eighth year.

Coronavirus concerns have also decimated the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, with bosses at Twitter, Facebook, Netflix, Apple and more pulling shows and presentations from the event, while several acts have scrapped plans to travel until the pandemic is under control.

As WENN went to press, both California’s Coachella festival in April and England’s Glastonbury weekender in June are scheduled to go ahead as planned with no acts pulling out.

Tool Fans Warned of Exposure to Coronavirus at New Zealand Concert

    Instagram

An audience member from one of the ‘Schism’ rock band’s gigs in the country has been diagnosed with the illness, making him the nation’s fourth case of the virus.
    Mar 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – Fans of rockers Tool are being urged to be aware of coronavirus symptoms after an audience member from one of the group’s recent New Zealand gigs was diagnosed with the illness.
A man in his 30s, who attended the gig in Auckland’s Spark Arena, has been confirmed as the nation’s fourth case of the virus, with health officials advising fellow attendees monitor symptoms closely.
While they added the risk of catching the virus was “low”, they advised, “He was in the general admission standing area in the front left-hand quadrant,” reported the BBC.
New Zealand’s director-general of health Dr Ashley Bloomfield said fans in the vicinity of the man at the Stinkfist stars’ concert were considered “casual contacts”.
“They are at low risk and the appropriate action for them is to just be aware of the symptoms (and) call Healthline if they are concerned or if they have any symptoms,” he said.
The man, who recently arrived back in the country following a trip to northern Italy, has been isolated at home since Wednesday (March 04). His partner was announced as New Zealand’s second case earlier this week.
Italy has seen almost 4,000 cases of the virus, with a total of 148 deaths when WENN went to press – the largest outbreak in Europe. Worldwide, more than 98,000 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed, killing more than 3,000 people.
