    AceShowbiz – Berlin star Terri Nunn has issued an apology after facing backlash following her New Year’s Eve performance at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
    The singer, known for tunes such as “Take My Breath Away”, found herself at the centre of controversy after agreeing to perform at the party, with her LGBTQ fans questioning why she signed up for the bash.
    And on Monday (04Jan20), Nunn apologised for her involvement in the party and admitted she was stunned by the lack of social distancing and masks amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

    “I am truly sorry I performed at Mar-a-Lago and would not have done so if I’d known what I learned while I was there,” she wrote on Berlin’s Facebook page. “My goal in performing was not to support a political party. I see now that that’s not the way it appeared and I am apologetic for that as well.”
    “The contract stated it was a small Covid-safe event for the members of Mar-a-Lago. Unfortunately it was not Covid-safe anywhere in Florida. I had no idea masks and social distancing were not required. I thought I was current on all Covid news everywhere, but clearly I was not. I was shocked by Florida and Mar-a-Lago’s lack of regard for the pandemic and if I’d known I would never have gone. Once I fulfilled my contractual obligation, I left the event as quickly as I could. It is a mistake I regret. I took a Covid 19 test yesterday and tested negative.”
    Specifically referencing her LGBTQ fans, Nunn concluded, “My apologies to those in the LGBTQ community who thought my performance was a statement against them. I have been and always will be fully supportive.”

    AceShowbiz – Wilson Phillips star Chynna Phillips is planning to revisit a flop Christian pop album to help boost her new faith-based website.
    “One Reason”, the singer’s 2009 collaboration with Vaughan Penn, sank without trace as soon as it was released, but she’s hoping an upcoming website linked to her successful California Preachin’ channel she launched last year (20) will help her sell the 5,000 copies she has in a backyard shed.
    “(It sold) about four copies,” she tells the New York Post, revealing her new site will also offer fans California Preachin’ merchandise.

    The new channel, which features candid episodes about Chynna’s life, is filmed mostly in and around the California home she shares with husband Billy Baldwin and their family.
    Chynna became a born-again Christian after spending time with Billy and Alec Baldwin’s brother Stephen Baldwin and his wife Kennya – the parents of Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey Baldwin – and she insists her faith has saved her, adding, “Jesus has rewritten my story. I could have had a really bad ending. But everyone has to take responsibility for themselves…”
    “I felt my life was senseless when I was young. I went down some rabbit holes. I spent a lot of time at the Bodhi bookstore (in Los Angeles). I read Autobiography of a Soul. I was meditating, doing a lot of yoga, seeing a lot of psychics. I dabbled in Kabbalah.”

    Addressing his diss track at Rihanna, the ‘Lose Yourself’ spitter says he was just rapping whatever rhymed because the song was recorded during the time that he was relearning how to rhyme.

    AceShowbiz – Eminem may be one of the best rappers alive today, but a near-fatal drug overdose almost stripped him of the ability. The Grammy Award-winning artist admits he had to relearn how to rhyme again after the 2007 incident that almost took his life.
    The Slim Shady briefly touched on his drug issue and its aftermath when addressing his diss track “Things Get Worse” aimed at Rihanna. “When it first happened, I was like, first, I didn’t know how, how somebody got it,” he said to SiriusXM’s Gray Rizzy on Monday, January 4.
    The 48-year-old star claimed he had no recollection of the lyrics and figured he was just rapping whatever rhymed because the song was recorded during the time he was relearning how to rap. “Second of all, I have no, zero recollection of even remembering doing that, that verse, like ‘The rhyme schemes didn’t even sound familiar to me.’ So I was caught off guard, too,” he shared.

    Em went on recounting, “I was like, ‘What the f**k, I said that?’ And that was during early stages of the ‘Relapse’ record that I was working on. So, you know, it’s ten-plus years old, but not making excuses for it. I said it and I was wrong for saying that, it was f**king stupid.”
    “A lot of times, especially with the ‘Relapse’ record, when I first started learning how to rap again, because of the drug situation that I went through and having to relearn a lot of things,” the “8 Mile” star continued. “That was one of those things that it was like, well, if it rhymes, say it. I think that being able to look back – I mean, that’s not even an excuse – but I’m just saying there was a phase I was going through with that ‘Relapse’ record.”
    In the said diss track, which was recorded during sessions for his 2009 album “Relapse”, Em rapped, “I’m not playing, Rihanna, where’d you get the VD at?/ Let me add my two cents/ Of course I side with Chris Brown/ I’d beat a b***h down too/ If she gave my d**k an itch now.” The song was leaked in 2019.
    Em later addressed the controversial lyrics in his new song “Zeus”, on which he apologized to his “Love the Way You Live” collaborator, “And wholeheartedly, apologies, Rihanna/ For that song that leaked, I’m sorry, Ri/ It wasn’t meant to cause you grief.”

    The actress and model has revealed she has been working on her music during the Covid-19 pandemic and is excited to release it for the world to hear.
    “I’m making an album, which is cool, and there’s little things happening with it,” she told The Daily Mail’s Eden Confidential column. “I like collaborating with a feast of friends. I like lo-fi ‘dream pop’, but also simple folk.”

    Suki – who is dating “The Batman” star Robert Pattinson – released the single “Brutally” in 2016 but it failed to make the top 200.
    The song was a massive flop for the star as eight weeks after its release, it had only been downloaded 296 times, although it did achieve 300,000 streams.
    “Suki never expected to be near the Top 10 but she’s bound to be disappointed with the figures,” a source said at the time. “She’s very passionate about music and obviously can put more of her personality into her lyrics than she can with modelling. But Suki clearly has a lot of work to do if she wants to build up a following with the help of her tunes.”
    Prior to this, it was reported that the British model was enjoying quarantining together with her actor beau. “They’re making the most of self-isolating, that’s for sure,” a source claimed to In Touch back in December. As to whether they’re planning to bring their relationship to a more serious level, the source shared. “They’ll get married at some point, but they’re in no rush.”

    AceShowbiz – Blake Shelton is under fire after debuting his new song titled “Minimum Wage”. Many people weren’t impressed with the song and called it insensitive considering how numerous people in America are currently struggling financially amid the coronavirus pandemic.
    The fiance of Gwen Stefani debuted the track during his appearance on NBC’s New Year’s Eve television special with “The Voice” host Carson Daly ahead of 2021. Blake revealed that Gwen helped him get her brother Todd to direct the visuals of the new song.
    “Girl, your love can make a man feel rich on minimum wage,” Blake croons on the song. Many felt like the song was such a tone deaf song as many were forced to shut down their business or being fired due to the pandemic.

    The new album was described a sister album to her previous set “Folklore”. She explained, “I’ve never done this before. In the past I’ve always treated albums as one-off eras and moved onto planning the next one after an album was released. There was something different with folklore. In making it, I felt less like I was departing and more like I was returning.”
    Although “Evermore” was released less than a year after “Folklore”, Taylor insisted she didn’t rush the creative process. After breaking a lot of milestones with her previous sets, she took her time as she struggled with a lot of pressures to top herself and craft particular types of songs.

    After much contemplation, she decided to take an unusual route with her new music and threw away her “checklist.” She explained, “I thought, ‘Wait, this could be an opportunity for me to do things in a way I haven’t ever done them before. What would my work sound like if I took away all of my fear-based check listing that I have inflicted on myself?’ ”
    The Grammy-winning singer/songwriter took the risk and it paid off. Both albums entered the first positions on Hot 200, making her the third female artist to have eight chart-topping albums behind music icons Barbra Streisand (11) and Madonna (9).
    When “Evermore” debuted atop the Billboard chart, “Folklore” also gained a new steam and sat at the third place. The feat made the “Blank Space” hitmaker the first woman to simultaneously place her two albums in the top-three since the music chart was launched back in 1963.

It bows with 100,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending December 31, 2020, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
    Of the sum, 90,000 are in the form of SEA units which equals to 126.43 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs. Meanwhile, album sales comprise 10,000 with TEA units comprising the rest of the equivalent album units earned by the new 24-track album.
    Back to this week’s Billboard 200 chart, former leader Taylor Swift’s “Evermore” dips to No. 2 in its third week with 71,000 equivalent album units earned. As for No. 3, it is occupied by Lil Durk’s “The Voice”, marking the rapper’s third top 10 effort.     At No. 8 is Luke Combs’ “What You See Is What You Get”, which jumps from No. 19 to the position with nearly 34,000 units. Closing out the Top 10 this week are Bad Bunny’s “El Ultimo Tour del Mundo” and Eminem’s “Music to Be Murdered By”. “El Ultimo Tour del Mundo” rises from No. 16 to No. 9 with almost 34,000 units while “Music to Be Murdered By” falls significantly from No. 3 to No. 10 with 33,000 units earned.
