Chase Rice Faces Outrage for Joking He Has Covid-19 While Announcing New Single

    Instagram

The country music singer comes under fire for joking that he has contracted coronavirus while promoting his new single ‘Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen’.

    Dec 2, 2020
AceShowbiz – Chase Rice has once again sparked backlash from fans after joking he has the coronavirus to promote his new single.
The country star was highlighting the release of his “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen” collaboration with Florida Georgia Line on Twitter on Sunday (29Nov20) when he wrote, “Just lost my taste and smell. Weird. Also, dropping a single at midnight.”
However, Rice’s followers were less impressed with his tweet, with one writing, “Hey first off I hope you’re not sick but if you’re not damn it I have Covid right (now) don’t be joking around about this c**p cause I’m struggling to catch my breath at times to a point I feel like I’m about to pass out, Don’t be using a pandemic to rise sales of a dang song!”
Another replied, “Chase I’m very disappointed at this apparent ‘joke’ as it really isn’t funny. I’ve lost my taste and smell since March (9 months!) and quite frankly it’s hell!!”

Responding to the backlash, Chase later returned to the social media site with another message, as he tweeted, “On a real note. Don’t have covid. But I’m dropping a single tonight. With 2 guys that I learned a lot from. Respect the hell out of @FLAGALine. And 10 years after we started doing music together and lived together, we’re at it again. Drinkin beer. Talkin God. Amen.”
However, the post did little to quieten critics, as another commented, “I’m legitimately glad you’re ok but it’s NOT funny joking about having Covid. Especially to promote music. People are literally dying from it. And Tyler (Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line) might not find your joke funny either since he’s actually HAD Covid.”
Another person wrote, “Really in bad taste to joke about Covid. Thought you had learned something since the concert incident this year. Guess not. Here’s an idea: take all the earnings from this song and donate to Covid survivors or donate PPE to local hospitals. Do better, Covid is not a joke.”
In June (20), Chase hit headlines when he held a concert in the Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary venue in Petros, Tennessee, with hundreds of people cramming in without wearing any face masks or protection against the virus.

“So many songs I had not performed live in decades as I always thought they needed a large band but they actually hold up quite well in this very intimate living room setting.”

Quando Rondo Shuts Down Instagram and Twitter After Accused of Lying About Canceled Show

    Instagram

The ‘I Remember’ rapper deactivates his social media accounts after people notice that the evidence he shares to support his claim about being forced to call off his concert by police is dated January 2018.

    Nov 30, 2020
AceShowbiz – Quando Rondo has gone social media silent following his canceled show fiasco. The rapper has deactivated his Instagram and Twitter accounts after he was accused of lying about police canceling his show.
The 21-year-old star was scheduled to perform in Georgia on Sunday, November 29. However, he called off the gig at the last minute after the Mayor of Georgia and the police department forced him to do so.
It was said that authorities canceled the show because they believed that Lil Durk and his crew might turn up at the concert, possibly to retaliate for the murder of King Von. Beef between Quando and Durk has been boiling since the former was reportedly involved in the shooting of King Von.
Quando took to Instagram Live on the day of the concert to inform his fans about the cancellation. In the video, he was seen leaving the venue after he got a call that the show had been canceled. He wore what appeared to be a bulletproof vest as saying, “I’ve been walking out, vest on all type of crazy.”

He also shared security footage of himself and his crew allegedly entering the club where he was set to perform that night to prove his claim. The darkly-lit screengrab sees Quando having a conversation with a promoter before the concert shut down.

      See also…

He captioned it, “Macon Show. This Is The Footage From Them Canceling The Show !! If You Listen To This Promoter He Clearly Said We Was There Early !!! Bu Ight.”

Many were not buying it though, as they pointed out that the date on his video evidence was for January 1, 2018. After people questioned the validity of the evidence, the “Motivation” emcee has subsequently deactivated his social media accounts.
Meanwhile, Quando’s pal has blamed 600Breezy for the show’s cancellation, claiming that Breezy reached out to the mayor to call off the performance.
Breezy has been firing shots at Quando on social media after King Von’s death, with the former challenging the latter to come to Chicago to perform his new song “End of Story”. Breezy additionally wrote on Twitter, “A whole hoe out chea,” seemingly directed at Quando.
Quando himself has declared himself not guilty in the fatal shooting of King Von. In his new song “End of Story”, he claimed that whatever happened was in self-defense.

Artist of the Week: Morgan Wallen

Straight off his CMA big win as New Artist of the Year, the ‘More Than My Hometown’ crooner is ascending the country music charts with two of his new singles.

    Nov 30, 2020
AceShowbiz – Hot on the heels of his big win as the best New Artist of the Year at the Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, Morgan Wallen is climbing up the charts with two of his new singles. “Somebody’s Problem” has risen to the second position on the U.S. Apple Music chart while “Still Goin Down” has reached the third place.
Both songs are expected to continue their ascend if the singer’s chart history is any indication – he topped country single charts with his two previous singles “More Than My Hometown” and “7 Summers”. All those tracks were taken from his upcoming sophomore effort called “Dangerous: The Double Album”.

      See also…

The new album is due to came out in January next year. It features a collaboration with fellow country star Chris Stapleton and includes a country version of “Heartless”, Wallen’s previous collaboration with Diplo, which has been certified triple platinum for selling more than three million units in sales and streams.
Wallen offers 30 songs in his latest studio offering. “The ‘double album’ idea started off as just a joke between me and my manager because we had accumulated so many songs over the past couple of years,” he explained. “Then quarantine hit, and we realized it might actually be possible to have enough time to make it happen.”
While the CMA award was a big celebration for Wallen, it has also inspired him to work harder as he knows it’s only the beginning of his journey to make his mark in the industry. Describing the win as “a kick in the rear toward the top,” he said, “I’ve had a lot of really good things happen this year, and a lot of things I wouldn’t consider good, but I’d put this at the top of the good list for sure.”
