Naomi serves as a producer for JamTart Productions along with Peter and Michael Sobiloff. Celine Rattray, Trudie Styler and Jenny Halper are also producing for Maven Screen Media.

John Duhamel Officially Tapped to Replace Armie Hammer in 'Shotgun Wedding'

    WENN

The ‘Transformers’ actor has officially been signed on to fill in the vacant spot left by the ‘Call Me by Your Name’ star, joining Jennifer Lopez in the upcoming feature film.

    Feb 3, 2021
AceShowbiz – Josh Duhamel has officially replaced embattled Armie Hammer in Jennifer Lopez’s new romantic comedy, “Shotgun Wedding”.
Hammer exited the project last month amid a sex and direct messaging scandal, insisting he couldn’t commit to being away from his children on location while his reputation was being ripped apart by multiple ex-girlfriends.
It was quickly reported that “Transformers” star Josh Duhamel was being considered as his replacement, and now he is officially boarding the Lionsgate film, which will also feature Jennifer Coolidge and Sonia Braga.
“We couldn’t be happier for our bride and groom of this Shotgun Wedding,” Erin Westerman, the president of production for the Lionsgate Motion Pictures Group, says. “We know Josh and Jennifer will make a compelling and sexy on-screen couple and they will be fun sparring partners as their dream destination wedding erupts into a memorable nightmare.”

“We are also thrilled to bring Jennifer and Sonia on to our cast as Mothers of the Bride and Groom. Their acting and comedic talents will add another fun layer to this already-rich action-comedy.”
Lopez and Duhamel will play a couple whose destination wedding turns into a nightmare when the bride and groom-to-be and their guests are taken hostage.
Jason Moore will direct from a screenplay by Mark Hammer and Liz Meriwether. Filming will begin next month (Mar21).
When announcing his departure from the movie, Armie Hammer said in January, “I’m not responding to these b******t claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic.”

John Cena Got Sick From Filming 'Most Difficult Stunt' for 'The Suicide Squad'

    Warner Bros. Pictures

The wrestler-turned-actor shows his ‘face of defeat’ as he talks about the ‘most difficult stunt’ he filmed for James Gunn’s upcoming DC star-studded anti-hero movie.

    Feb 3, 2021
AceShowbiz – Wrestling icon-turned-actor John Cena was made to force down 40 empanadas in one take for filmmaker James Gunn’s upcoming “The Suicide Squad”.
The “Blockers” star portrays Peacemaker in the DC Comics blockbuster, and he showed off his superhero costume on Monday (01Feb21) as he appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.
During the interview, Cena shared a photo of himself onset as he struggled to wolf down his 37th pastry for one scene, and admitted eating empanada after empanada was his biggest challenge in the film.

“That, right there, is the face of defeat,” he said of the image.
“It was one big take, because the horribly beautiful, corrupted mind of James Gunn operates in so many intricate pieces and he wanted this big, giant take where I thought it’d be cool to be like, ‘Oh, it’d be funny to eat the whole empanada. Throw the thing over my shoulder, the guy catches it. It’s gonna be great. Everybody’s gonna think it’s awesome.'”
It was only when he realised he had to repeat the stunt multiple times that Cena realised it wasn’t the best idea. “I had to do it 40 times, and nearly made myself sick,” he confessed. “That was my most difficult stunt in The Suicide Squad.”
Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad”, due for release in August (21), is set to serve as a standalone sequel to 2016’s “Suicide Squad”, and will feature Cena alongside Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Sylvester Stallone, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Idris Elba, and Peter Capaldi.
Cena will also be filming a Peacemaker TV spin-off, written and directed by Gunn.

Marilyn Manson Removed From 'American Gods' and 'Creepshow' Amid Abuse Allegations

    WENN

The rocker-turned-actor has been dropped by his talent agents as he’s also cut from two TV shows after his ex Evan Rachel Wood accuses him of grooming her.

    Feb 3, 2021
AceShowbiz – Marilyn Manson has been dropped by his talent agents and cut from TV shows “American Gods” and “Creepshow” following abuse allegations from his ex-fiancee Evan Rachel Wood.
Just a day after the shock rocker was dumped by his label bosses at Loma Vista Recordings, executives at Creative Artists Agency – who also represent Wood – have chosen to cut ties with the musician-turned-actor, too, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The news emerges as TV officials move to scrub Manson from upcoming projects, with his last appearance as a recurring character in an upcoming episode of fantasy drama series “American Gods” set to be cut from the show.
“Due to the allegations made against Marilyn Manson, we have decided to remove his performance from the remaining episode he is in, scheduled to air later this season,” network officials at Starz tells Deadline.
“Starz stands unequivocally with all victims and survivors of abuse.”
Likewise, chiefs at AMC’s Shudder have ditched Manson from horror anthology “Creepshow” second season.

The “Personal Jesus” singer, real name Brian Warner, hit headlines on Monday (01Feb21) when Wood went public with the name of her abuser, accusing him of “brainwashing” her and “manipulating” her “into submission” during their years-long relationship, which began when she was 18 and he was 36.
A number of other women have since also come forward with similar allegations of abuse, but on Tuesday, Manson fired back at the claims, branding the statements “horrible distortions of reality.”
Meanwhile, former adult film star Jenna Jameson has also opened up about her “odd” romance with Manson back in 1997, revealing she dumped him after he reportedly shared a disturbing fantasy about her death.
She told the Daily Mail, “We didn’t go out long because I cut it off after he would nonchalantly say he fantasised about burning me alive.”
“Once he started speaking to me violently, I was like…, ‘Goodbye, Brian.’ ”
Jameson also claimed his penchant for biting during sex was not fun as it left her covered in bruises. “Sexually he liked to bite, and it was disconcerting,” she added. “He is a lot. To say the least.”

First 'Thor: Love and Thunder' Set Photos Show Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt in Full Costume

    Marvel Studios

The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star joins the Australian hunk during the filming of the fourth ‘Thor’ movie on Centennial Park in Sydney under the direction of Taika Waititi.

    Feb 2, 2021
AceShowbiz – Photos from the set of “Thor: Love and Thunder” have landed online, giving first look at Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt in full costume. Both actors were spotted filming on Centennial Park in Sydney on Monday, February 1.
The God of Thunder depicter flexed his biceps in Thor’s new costume as he rocked a red sleeveless vest with black accent on the collar, paired with blue pants. He also had Thor’s long hair back, with what looked like a small braid on one side.
The Aussie hunk held Thor’s trusted Mjolnir, while Pratt joined his fellow “Avengers” actor on the set and seemed to admire the weapon as well. Star-Lord himself appeared to sport a familiar outfit, with some new trimmings.

Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt were spotted on ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ set in Sydney.
Earlier that day, Thor embraced his more human side as Hemsworth was seen ditching his vest and only donning a white sleeveless top, paired with jeans. Pratt also took off Star-Lord’s robe, unveiling a long-sleeve shirt underneath.

They stood near a pile of ruins, which was dumped in the middle of the park, surrounded by brown set pieces that resemble rocks or ant colonies. Hemsworth’s stunt double was seen getting ready nearby. Also spotted on the set that day were Sean Gunn, who was dressed in a purple outfit as Kraglin, and Karen Gillan, who was fully dressed as Nebula.
Hemsworth and Taika Waititi, who is directing the film, previously kicked off the production of “Thor: Love and Thunder” by taking part in a traditional ceremony. On January 25, the 37-year-old actor shared pictures taken from an indigenous land acknowledgment ceremony called Welcome to Country ceremony.
He posted on Instagram photos of him and the filmmaker posing with native Australian dancers. The God of Thunder depicter dressed casually in a white sleeveless top and black shorts, while Waititi opted for a formal look in a navy suit.
While Hemsworth and his family have been staying in their native Australia during the COVID-19 pandemic, other actors, including Tessa Thompson and Dave Bautista, had been isolating themselves after arriving in the country before the start of the shooting. Matt Damon recently brought his family Down Under, sparking a speculation that he’s joining the movie in an undisclosed role.
The upcoming fourth installment of the Thor film franchise will also bring back Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, who will be taking up the mantle as Thor, and feature Christian Bale as the villain, Gorr the God Butcher.
It is set for a May 6, 2022 release in the United States.

NeNe Leakes Accuses Porsha Williams of Staying Silent to Keep Her 'Paycheck'

    WENN/Instar/FayesVision

In one tweet, NeNe urges her Twitter followers to ‘stand up, protest, sign the petition and stop watching!’ claiming that ‘the treatment of black women behind the scene is wrong.’

    Feb 2, 2021
AceShowbiz – NeNe Leakes is not done putting Bravo on blast. The former “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star took to her Twitter account on Monday, February 1 to accuse the network of paying off cast members to cover up its alleged “dirty work.”
In one tweet, NeNe shared with her followers, “stand up, protest, sign the petition & stop watching! The treatment of black women behind the scene is wrong.” Claiming that the network was trying to silence the stars, she added, “Even the cast that’s currently filming knows wrong is & was happening. They try to silence us! We MUST speak up when wrong is happening. I won’t stop.”
“They pay off & reward lawyers, managers, agents & even certain cast members to keep their dirty work going,” NeNe went on to allege. “I won’t stop speaking out until something is done. I will call names if need be.”
One of her fans agreed with NeNe while saying that her former co-star Porsha Williams “should be standing with you.” In response to that, NeNe wrote, “They scared to loose [sic] their checks but you can’t let them get away with Discrimination, retaliation and blacklisting and unequal pay! There’s power in numbers. I will start calling EVERYBODY OUT.”

      See also…

Concluding her rant, the book author tweeted, “I didn’t say anything publicly for years but i spoke out behind the scenes in emails, text messages and conferences call. I can show you! I spoke to executive for help as well for years. it MUST STOP! It doesn’t matter your race, just fight for what’s right.”

NeNe Leakes called out Bravo for trying to silence cast members.
This is not the first time for NeNe to speak against Bravo following her exit. In an interview for Tamar Braxton’s “Under Construction” last month, NeNe revealed that the salary dispute wasn’t the only reason why she decided to leave the show ahead of season 14.
Of her exit, NeNe shared that she “was blaming a lot of people and it took me years to figure out who the real devil was. When I figured it out though it really crushed me. It really hurt my heart really bad. I was really, really hurt over it. And I was like, ‘Wow.’ It felt to me like American greed or something. Greedy, just greedy. They will never stop. That’s what happens. It’s sad. It’s a lot and it’s a lot to deal with. So much.” Prior to that, she also called for people to boycott the reality TV show.

Robin Wright Gets Candid About Experience in Skinning Animal for 'Land'

    Instagram

As she opens up about her biggest challenge on her movie directorial debut, the ‘House of Cards’ star reveals that she was ‘ready to throw in the towel’ when pitching the film at the Cannes Film Festival.

    Feb 2, 2021
AceShowbiz – Robin Wright Penn’s biggest challenge on her movie directorial debut “Land” was skinning an animal.
The actress helmed the film and also stars as Edee – a lawyer who takes herself off the grid and travels to the most unpopulated area in the United States – and the actress admitted she was left “shocked” by the animal skinning process.
Wright – who has directed 10 episodes of Netflix drama “House of Cards” – told USA Today, “It was stomaching the skinning of the animal. And I eat meat.”

      See also…

“But I just – I don’t want to see that. You don’t think it’s going to shock you. And it does. I mean, you couldn’t have a more distant comparison between what it was like shooting House of Cards to shooting and directing Land. (For House of Cards) we were on a stage outside of Baltimore for six years on sets in an airplane hangar. This was a completely different beast because you’re dealing with nature.”
But the movie – which also stars Demian Bichir and Kim Dickens – nearly didn’t make it to screens, as Wright admitted she was “ready to throw in the towel” when pitching the motion picture at the Cannes Film Festival, but her final meeting of the day, with Focus Features, proved to be successful.
“No one was biting. I was like, I don’t think this is going to work,” she recalled. “I don’t think anybody wants to see this movie. And I was ready to throw in the towel.”
Of Bichir, Wright said that he “had a great desire to play this part because he went through a similar situation in his life, the way Edee did, and it was therapy for him. He told me that he needed to do it for that reason.”
