'Bachelor' Recap: Two Villains Are Eliminated After Matt James' Confrontation

    ABC

Meanwhile, Matt reveals that he’s in love with one of the ladies in a fairytale-like one-on-one date in the new episode of the ABC dating competition show.

    Feb 2, 2021
AceShowbiz – A new episode of “The Bachelor” season 25 arrived on Monday, February 1. It kicked off with Victoria having a breakdown as she felt like she was “two steps away from going home.” Later, she was seen talking bad about the new women on a walk with Kit, while Brittany shared in confessionals that she was hurt by the escort rumors that were spread by Anna.
In the cocktail party time, Matt James prepared a big speech about bullying among the ladies. “Before we get into tonight, I wanted to address something that was brought to my attention… about the environment in the house, how toxic it is, that there’s a mob mentality… really a culture of bullying,” Matt said, before mentioning the rumors that could “potentially ruin someone’s life.”
“I don’t get enough time with you all, and now this… there’s a lot of answers to questions that I need tonight. So Brittany, can we talk?” Matt asked. “Anna had came up to me to apologize, and she was like, when you first came here… we were telling everyone you were an escort. I was completely caught off guard. That’s not true,” Brittany shared. “It hurts a lot. It really hurts.”
Meanwhile, Anna admitted that the rumors were on her, noting that she was “so sad and upset” with herself. “That’s the first thing you should know. Before even coming here, I received messages about another girl who would also be here, Brittany, and then when she did show up, the worst thing I could say was said,” she told Matt. “And immediately I felt horrible about it, and I was like, ‘This is on me. This is me being a shallow person in the worst moment ever.’ ”
In response to that, Matt told Anna that he believed that Anna wasn’t “a horrible person.” Despite that, Matt added, “I’ve had to take responsibility for my words and my actions, and I’ve grown from it. But I have a responsibility to the women that are here, to Brittany, to myself, to follow my heart. And unfortunately, I can’t see you being a part of that journey anymore.” With that, Anna was sent home.
During a one-on-one moment with Matt, Ryan opened up to him about being called a “ho” by Victoria just because she’s a dancer. “The word ho is just… it’s really hard to hear someone say that about you when it’s just not true,” she cried. Victoria then approached Ryan after her talk with Matt. “I’m always playful. I’m not malicious,” Victoria said before calling Ryan “fake.”

It didn’t take long before Matt confronted Victoria. “I had this conversation with Ryan, and before I could even ask her a question, she’s crying. And I’m just like… it was kind of similar to how my conversation with Brittany went about Anna. People’s words are so powerful, and when you said that Ryan was a ho for being a dancer,” Matt said, to which Victoria claimed that it was “completely taken out of context!” Matt wasn’t having it as he asked, “Like, I’m just curious, what context would calling someone a ho be acceptable to be taken in?” The question was met with Victoria’s silence.
It’s finally time for the rose ceremony and Brittany got the first rose. Rachel and some other ladies got the rose with Serena C. getting the last rose, meaning that Victoria was eliminated. She told Matt, “I honestly feel so sorry for you that you would listen to hearsay and not all of the facts behind a situation. So, goodbye.”
The next day, Matt had a one-on-one fairytale date with Rachael. “You’re pulling me in!” Matt said with a smile. “I like everything about you, even things you may be ultra aware of, I find those things attractive, and I love them about you. When I’m around you, you don’t even have to try to get my attention,” Matt told her. Later, Matt said that he was in love with her. “And it is scary to say, but when I’m with you, it just feels right. With that being said, Rachael, would you accept this rose?” he asked.
Later during a group date, MJ was complaining about being portrayed as a villain. As Matt had the group date rose to Abigail, MJ was determined to set the record straight.
The next one-on-one date was between Matt and Kit and they bonded well. Kit and Matt even made out while making cookies and he gave Kit the rose.
Jessenia and MJ were then invited to a two-on-one date with Matt and the two argued as soon as they met. Before the episode ended, viewers were teased about the arrival of Tyler Cameron.

Monique Samuels Says She'll 'Never' Be Back to 'RHOP': 'The Hate Is Real'

    Instagram

In a new interview, the reality TV star, who made headlines for her physical altercation with Candiace Dillard, also reveals that ‘the third part of the reunion’ is like the ‘tip of the iceberg’ for her.

    Feb 1, 2021
AceShowbiz – Monique Samuels discussed her plan after exiting “The Real Housewives of Potomac” in a new interview. Speaking with HollywoodLife.com, the 37-year-old TV star shared that she’s “not interested in that at all” to return to the Bravo reality TV show.
“I will never be back on that show because too much has happened and to me, if people were really genuine and they really feel any type of remorse as they try to hold me accountable at a time that I wasn’t ready,” Monique revealed. “Some of these ladies have done some really nasty, disgusting things and I’ve not had one apology in my direction. My husband has not been apologized too.”
Monique had a brutal physical fight with fellow Housewife Candiace Dillard which played out in season 5 of the show. The two filed assault lawsuits against each other though the charges were eventually dismissed. Monique herself showed remorse for being too aggressive as she apologized to the cast members including Candiace. Despite that, she was cornered by host Andy Cohen during the reunion special, prompting viewers to drag him online.

“We don’t feel we were treated unfairly — We were treated unfairly,” Monique said. “Without a shadow of a doubt, we were. If you could’ve heard some of the questions that weren’t shown, it was like guns a blazin’ in my direction.”
Of Andy, Monique continued saying, “After we filmed the reunion, he actually complimented me and said I did all 11 hours and didn’t break a sweat. He was proud that I was able to hang in there for such a tough reunion and that was pretty much the last parts of the conversation. I have not heard or seen — nothin’.”
In the interview, Monique also revealed that “the third part of the reunion” was like the “tip of the iceberg” for her. “When they asked me to come back I was like, ‘Oh, OK, well let me go ahead and come back and redeem myself and have a great season 6,’ and I had the intention and hopes that they would show what really happened for the last, final part of the reunion. And when that didn’t happen, I was like, ‘Wow. Why am I here exactly?’ ” she explained.
“I’m not here for the money. I’m here for the platform. I’m like, ‘This is just to much!’ The hate is real, so I was like, ‘You know what? I don’t have to deal with this, so I’m not.’ ”

Jared Leto Gets Candid About Hesitancy to Play Villain in 'The Little Things'

    HBO Max

Taking on the role of suspected serial killer Albert Sparma in John Lee Hancock’s new movie, the ‘Suicide Squad’ actor reveals he has since found an interesting part of playing the character.

    Feb 1, 2021
AceShowbiz – Jared Leto originally turned down “The Little Things” because he didn’t want to play another villain.
The 49-year-old actor admitted he was initially hesitant to take on the role of suspected serial killer Albert Sparma in John Lee Hancock’s new movie but the director convinced him that the character would be fully rounded.
He told The Hollywood Reporter, “Well, my first thought was to say no. I wasn’t sure about playing a murder suspect or potential villain again. But after talking to John, there seemed to be an amazing opportunity. If we could make this heavy on character and make this a really transformative role, I could be interested in having this be the last walk on the dark side of the moon, but only if we could really push it as far as possible. He was open to that and excited. So I just went to town.”
“With this, I really wanted to see how complete of a character, from head to toe, from the way that I carried my feet to the way that I spoke – I really wanted to push the boundaries a bit to see how far we could walk toward that line without crossing it.”

      See also…

And the “Suicide Squad” star enjoyed playing a complicated character like Sparma.
He said, “That was an interesting part of it. Not only do we have the script, but we have to write the script underneath the script. How does Albert Sparma know where to be? How does he have this information? Is he guilty? Is he not? All of these big questions that we had to kind of create a logic board for, which we did.”
“But the physical part of it … The voice was a big key into the character, developing the walk, the research and conversations with criminology experts. I examined FBI transcripts and interrogations. It was quite intense, quite heavy, but really fascinating. For a bit – it starts to take its toll after a while.”
“The Little Things”, also starring Denzel Washington and Rami Malek, is in cinemas and streaming on HBO Max.

A new episode of the NBC show also tackles the the U.S. Capitol riot as a skit sees an FBI agent arresting the ‘Jack Ryan’ star and one of his friends for participating in the January 6 riot.

    Feb 1, 2021
AceShowbiz – The first episode of “Saturday Night Live” aired on January 30 with John Krasinski as the host. During his monologue, the “A Quiet Place” actor/director shared that he felt honored to be able to host his favorite show.
“I am so honored to be hosting the first show of 2021. I genuinely cannot tell you what a huge deal it is to be here right now,” the “Jack Ryan” star said on stage. “I have been watching this show since I was 8 years old… So to be here on this stage is nothing short of mind blowing to me.”
The audience members, however, interrupted him as they flooded him with questions about “The Office” with cast member Alex Moffat asking him where Pam (Jenna Fischer) was. “I have a question. … So my question is you’re Jim from ‘The Office’?” he asked.

To that, John replied, “Nope, I’m actually John. Hello.” He continued saying, “Pam is a fictional character.” Despite his answer, Ego Nwodim told John to stop working out because “Jim is soft,” while Kenan Thompson said that he needed to see John kissing Pam “today.”
That was when a fan of “The Office”, played by Pete Davidson, appeared and made a proposition. “I think they really need for someone to be Pam,” Pete told John, adding, “I think we’ve got to give them what they want. Jim, I think you have to kiss Pam.” The two then shared a kiss in front of the crowd who quickly cheered on them.
Later in the episode, the cast members tackled the the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6 in a skit. The said skit saw John joining his five other pals at a friend’s home for a game night when an FBI agent visited them to arrest their friend Brad for participating in the riot. When asked why he did that, Brad told his friends, “I care about our nation and its Constitution, so I wiped jelly on a statue and put (Nancy) Pelosi’s phone down my pants.”
“Are you Keith Reynolds?” the undercover FBI officer later asked John, who responded, “Yes, or QDaddy on Facebook.” He then left with the officer while carrying what appears to be the lectern of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in attempt to mimic Adam Christian Johnson a.k.a. “Podium Guy” from the riot.

Philippa Goslett Replaces Joss Whedon on HBO's 'The Nevers'

    HBO

The ‘Mary Magdalene’ director has been enlisted to fill in the vacant spot left by the former Marvel filmmaker after he quit following ‘Justice League’ woes.

    Jan 31, 2021
AceShowbiz – British filmmaker Philippa Goslett has stepped in to replace Joss Whedon on HBO sci-fi drama “The Nevers”.
Whedon exited the project last year (20), citing work pressures while insisting the show was too big for him.
This will be “Mary Magdalene” director Goslett’s first major television gig. She will also serve as an executive producer.
The drama follows a group of Victorian women with superpowers.

It was set to be Whedon’s first TV series since he co-created “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and the first solely created by him since the cult 2009 Fox drama “Dollhouse”, according to Deadline.
When announcing his exit from the new TV project last year, Joss Whedon said, “This year of unprecedented challenges has impacted my life and perspective in ways I could never have imagined, and while developing and producing The Nevers has been a joyful experience, I realize that the level of commitment required moving forward, combined with the physical challenges of making such a huge show during a global pandemic, is more than I can handle without the work beginning to suffer.”
“I am genuinely exhausted, and am stepping back to martial my energy towards my own life, which is also at the brink of exciting change.”
Whedon’s exit came after “Justice League” actor Ray Fisher accused him of “abusive” and “unprofessional” behaviour on the set of the film, prompting an investigation at Warner Bros. which, like HBO, is a part of WarnerMedia.
