    Nov 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Rihanna has been added to the cast lineup for “Black Panther 2”, according to Google. Report has been spreading on the Internet that the Barbadian-born singer will be starring in the follow-up to the 2018 movie after Google lists her among cast members for the upcoming sequel.

Jordan, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke and Martin Freeman. While it’s unclear where Google has got its source from, this has got Navy excited.
“Currently shook because @rihanna is listed as a cast member for Black Panther II,” one person tweeted along with a screenshot of the search results. Another exclaimed, “Rihanna in BLACK PANTHER 2 AHHHHH!!!!!”

A few, however, raised doubt about the Google search results, with one noting, “Y’all really believing Rihanna is about to be in Black Panther 2 based off…a Google search…” Some others, meanwhile, speculated that Rih might be contributing to the movie’s soundtrack.
Neither Marvel nor Rihanna has responded to the casting speculation, but E! News has shut down the rumors. According to the site, the “Umbrella” hitmaker has not been cast in the upcoming film.
“Black Panther 2” is reportedly set to start filming in Atlanta in July and last for upwards of six months. While Michael B. Jordan is unlikely to return due to his character’s storyline at the end of the first film, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett are all expected to reprise their roles for the sequel.
Wright’s Shuri is said to have a more prominent role in the upcoming feature following the death of Chadwick Boseman, who took on the lead role in the first movie. Additionally, “Narcos: Mexico” actor Tenoch Huerta is reportedly in talks to play one of the antagonists.

Ken Jennings Tapped to Guest Host 'Jeopardy!' Following Alex Trebek's Death

    WENN/Nicky Nelson/Brian To

Fans totally approve of the show’s decision to have the game show’s champion as the first guest host as one fan even suggests that Ken will also fit to be the new permanent host of the show.

    Nov 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Sony Pictures Television has announced that “Jeopardy!” will resume production weeks after the passing of host Alex Trebek. It has also been revealed that the popular game show’s champ Ken Jennings will be serving as a guest host for the first few episodes.
In an Instagram post on Monday, November 23, the show’s executive producer Mike Richards shared a statement which read, “Alex believed in the importance of Jeopardy! and always said that he wanted the show to go on after him.” He continued, “We will honor his legacy by continuing to produce the game he loved.”
“We will resume production on 11/30 with a series of interim guest hosts from the Jeopardy! family — starting with Ken Jennings,” the show further announced in the caption. “Additional guest hosts to be announced.”

Following the announcement, Ken took to his Twitter account to share his feelings for the honor. “There will only ever be one Alex Trebek, but I’m honored to be helping Jeopardy! out with this in January,” so he tweeted.

Ken Jennings reacted to him being chosen as the first guest host of ‘Jeopardy!’.
Fans totally approved of the show’s decision to have Ken as the first guest host. “I always knew that having you on my podcast 6 years ago would be a career springboard for you. But seriously, Jeopardy is lucky to have you. Trebek would be proud. Congratulations,” a fan wrote to him.
Someone even suggested that the “Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time” winner and 74-time champion should be a new permanent host, taking over Alex’s hosting duties. “The only problem I have with this news is the term ‘interim’. When Alex passed, you were the only person I thought of who could even attempt to fill his shoes. I hope interim eventually turns to permanent. Good luck!” said the fan.
Alongside LeVar Burton, Ken was among the names that people mentioned as fit candidates for the show’s new host. Fans even launched a petition for LeVar to be chosen as the new host. In response to that, the “Star Trek: The Next Generation” star wrote on Twitter earlier this month, “Even if nothing comes from it, I can’t tell how much how I appreciate all y’alls love and support!”
Alex, who had been fronting “Jeopardy!” since 1984, passed away on Sunday, November 8 at the age of 80. A spokesperson for the popular quiz show confirmed the sad news, “Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning, surrounded by family and friends.”

Johnny Depp Accepts Award Behind Bars in Bizarre Photo After Losing Libel Suit

    WENN/Avalon

The former ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star poses behind bars while holding onto his award as he is presented with Unique Visual Sensitivity prize from the Polish EnergaCamerimage film festival.

    Nov 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Johnny Depp had an unusual way of accepting an award. The 57-year-old actor was honored with Unique Visual Sensitivity prize from the Polish EnergaCamerimage film festival over the weekend, and while he didn’t have to attend the virtual event in person, he chose to accept the award behind bars.
The film festival shared on its official social media accounts a picture of Depp flashing a smile behind the makeshift jail cell. “And greetings from Johnny Depp from the Bahamas!” read the caption accompanying the photo.
The Jack Sparrow of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” film series was seen holding onto the award in one hand while pointing at it with his other hand. He wore a bandana and dark aviator shades, while donning an unbuttoned black-and-blue shirt.

It’s unclear what the reason behind Depp’s choice of setting in the image, but he seemed to make a statement with it after losing his libel suit against the publisher of Britain’s The Sun newspaper on November 2. As the result, the actor agreed to quit the “Fantastic Beasts” franchise, for which he was originally set to reprise his role in the third film.
“I wish to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros. from my role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected and agreed to that request,” he announced on Instagram earlier this month.
He added of his legal judgement, “The surreal judgement of the court in the U.K. will not change my fight to tell the truth and I confirm that I plan to appeal. My resolve remains strong and I intend to prove that the allegations against me are false. My life and career will not be defined by this moment in time.”
Depp, who had filmed one day for “Fantastic Beasts 3”, reportedly received his full salary despite quitting the movie.

George Clooney Raves Over Young 'Midnight Sky' Co-Star: She Puts to Shame Lot of Grown Actors

    Netflix

Aside from praising newcomer Caoilinn Springall, the Oscar winner reveals that he drew inspiration from Jackie Gleason’s ‘Gigot’ when preparing for his desperate scientist role.

    Nov 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – George Clooney is raving about young newcomer Caoilinn Springall, revealing she taught him a thing or two about acting on the set of his upcoming Netflix film “The Midnight Sky”.
The Oscar winner has worked with kids in the past but his latest co-star really pulled the best performance out of the actor/director as he portrays a lonely Arctic scientist in the post-apocalyptic film.
“She’s never acted before, I mean that’s just crazy to me,” Clooney tells Deadline. “So here’s this little girl, she shows up. And actors, kid actors in particular, but most actors, they kind of plan out how they’re going to do a scene. But she would just be in the scene and when we’re looking up at Polaris, and we’re sitting in those chairs, she doesn’t just kind of react like she knows she’s supposed to.”

      See also…

“When I say, ‘Look up at Polaris’, she looks up, and then she looks at me. She really takes it in and it gives us the ability to keep those moments really full. She puts to shame a lot of grown actors, including myself, who had to prepare for a scene.”
Meanwhile, Clooney reveals he was really inspired by Jackie Gleason movie “Gigot” as he prepared to play the desperate scientist in “The Midnight Sky”.
“I remember seeing it (Gigot) as a kid,” he recalls. “It may be a terrible movie, I don’t remember. It was with Jackie Gleason… and he played a hobo – a kind of guy who couldn’t speak. With a little girl, and the mother I think was a hooker or something. I remember being really moved by that character because he couldn’t communicate very well.”
“Whether or not that movie works, I don’t remember at all. I just remember as a kid seeing it and being affected by it and thinking there’s something about this inability to communicate and having to communicate with silences. So we had beautiful moments like that, with this little girl I found.”

Margot Robbie Very Excited to Add Key Female Element to New 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Movie

    Instagram

When asked about the revival of the Disney movie franchise, the ‘Dreamland’ actress teases that while it is too early to talk about, it will have ‘lots of girl power.’

    Nov 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Margot Robbie teased details of a female-led “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie during a recent interview.
The original Disney movie franchise stars Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow but, according to speculation, it’s set to be revived with a female-fronted spinoff.
While promoting her new movie “Dreamland (2020)”, the 30-year-old actress was asked about the project, which is believed to be written by Christina Hodson, who wrote Margot’s movie “Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn”.
Although Disney has not officially announced the movie yet, Margot told the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast: “(It will have) lots of girl power. No, it’s too early to talk about it.”

      See also…

“I love Christina, obviously. I’m not a producer on Pirates, so I’ll sit back and kind of wait for the process,” she continued. “We’re really, really excited at the prospect of adding obviously a very key female element to that world.”
Earlier this year, it was reported Margot would lead the new movie, which is believed be a new version with a new central story and characters as opposed to a spin-off.
As for Johnny, longtime “Pirates Of The Caribbean” producer Jerry Bruckheimer previously admitted he was unsure about whether the actor would reprise his character as Captain Jack Sparrow in the next film. “The one we’re developing right now, we’re not sure quite what Johnny’s role is going to be,” Bruckheimer revealed in May. “So, we’re going to have to see.”
Johnny debuted as Captain Jack Sparrow in 2003’s action-adventure “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”. The movie also starred Keira Knightley, Geoffrey Rush and Orlando Bloom.

'The Voice' Recap: John Legend and Blake Shelton Use Their Steal in Night 2 of Knockout

    Instagram

Desz and Sid Kingsley from Team Kelly open up the new episode of the long-running show as Desz belts out ‘Can We Talk’ by Tevin Campbell, while Sid opts to sing ‘Make it Rain’ by Foy Vance.

    Nov 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – The Knockout Rounds of “The Voice” season 19 continued in a new episode, which aired on Monday, November 23. At the end of the episode, five singers were sent home while the others were moving to the next round. Meanwhile, coaches John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton were the only ones who could use their save as Gwen Stefani used hers in the previous episode.
Desz and Sid Kingsley from Team Kelly opened up the night. Desz belted out “Can We Talk” by Tevin Campbell, while Sid opted to sing “Make it Rain” by Foy Vance. Both singers nailed their own performance, making it a hard decision for Kelly to make. However, she eventually decided that Desz was the winner. Thankfully for Sid, Blake used his save on him, so he went to his team.
Team Blake’s Jim Ranger and Jus Jon then took to the stage for the next Knockout. Jus Jon hoped to defeat Jim by singing “Finesse” by Bruno Mars. Meanwhile, his opponent chose to belt out “Humble and Kind” by Tim McGraw which he dedicated to his kids. Jim’s vocal stunned everyone and the coaches all gave him a standing ovation. Jus Jon’s performance was fun, but Blake didn’t seem to think it was enough to win over Jim. Jim went to the next round, while Jus Jon was eliminated.

Bailey Rey and Lauren Frihauf from Team John then took the stage. Bailey sang “Let Me Down Easy” by Billy Currington before Lauren following it up with a performance of “Cry Baby” by Janis Joplin. Before Team Kelly’s Kelsie Watts and Madeline Consoer performed, viewers were offered montage featuring Team Gwen’s Joseph Soul defeating Van Andrew. Kelsie later belted out “You Oughta Know” by Alanis Morissette, noting that the lyrics hit home for her. As for Madeline, she went with “Die from a Broken Heart” by Maddie & Ta. Kelly eventually kept Madeline on her team while Kelsie was eliminated.

Concluding the night 2 of Knockout Rounds were Chloe Hogan and Carter Rubin from Team Gwen. Hoping to stay on the competition, Carter chose to sing “You Say” by Lauren Daigle. As for Chloe, she opted for “Weak” by SWV. Carter totally killed her performance of the emotional ballad and even moved Kelly to tears. Chloe then offered an equally stunning performance that excited John. After a long deliberation, Gwen picked Carter, and John decided to steal Chloe for his team.

George Clooney Gets Candid About Incorporating Felicity Jones' Pregnancy Into 'The Midnight Sky'

    WENN/Phil Lewis/Mario Mitsis

While he and his leading actress initially tried to hide her pregnancy during filming, the director of the Netflix film notes that the unborn baby ‘became somebody that was important’ to all of them.

    Nov 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – George Clooney has Felicity Jones’ baby son to thank for making his new movie, “The Midnight Sky”, extra special, because her pregnancy news made him rethink the whole story.
Clooney cast the Brit as an astronaut in the Netflix film he directs and stars in weeks before she realised she was pregnant, and when she told him, he eventually decided to incorporate her real-life story with the one in the film.
“Wilber (son), while he was still in the womb, really was a character suddenly,” Clooney tells Deadline. “He became somebody that was important to all of us.”
“The first thing you do is go, ‘Great. I’m thrilled for you’. Now it’s (your pregnancy) a problem for us and we’re going to have to solve it. The way we tried to solve it initially was by pretending it didn’t exist. Like shooting her from the neck up and doing body doubles and all that kind of stuff. On top of it being really tedious, it was draining the life out of the scenes.”

      See also…

“We’re shooting scenes three times and she wasn’t comfortable with it because she was trying desperately to hide it, and she was showing pretty good at that point.”
Clooney then had a moment of clarity and decided there was no reason for Jones’ character not to be pregnant too.
“I woke up in the middle of the night and I just said, ‘People have sex’,” he recalls. “That’s what happens on two-year trips, and then I sort of pitched it to Felicity as, ‘Think of Frances McDormand in ‘Fargo’, where there was no real reason for her to be pregnant. That wasn’t a real storyline…’ Pregnant women do go to work every day, they do all of these things and they sort of never get represented.”
“I said, ‘Let’s just make her a pregnant astronaut’. Then, as it went on, we had to start writing scenes to introduce that. It started to become really clear that little Wilber there was so important. He was the future and we were to guard him really carefully.”
Jones’ pregnancy prompted Clooney to rework the ending of the film, and now he insists, “It ended up feeling as if it should have been in the script all along.”
