    AceShowbiz – It seems like Chris Hemsworth is not a fan of “The Bachelor”. Luke Zocci, the personal trainer of the “Avengers: Endgame” star, reveals in a new interview that the actor was totally not happy upon knowing that he was offered to join “The Bachelor”.
    During his appearance on Nova 96.9’s “Fitzy & Wippa”, Luke revealed someone from the Australian iteration of the ABC franchise approached him. When he asked Chris for approval, however, it didn’t go as he wished.
    “I actually did get it, but I said no,” Luke said of the offer. “I actually said it [to Chris] as a joke and he said, ‘If you go on ‘The Bachelor’, I will fire you!’ ”

    Indeed, Luke didn’t seem to have to go to the show to find love. The 37-year-old fitness guru said he’s dating someone for the first time in 13 years. “I have finally gone and got myself a girlfriend. It took a pandemic! She’s a Swedish backpacker,” Luke said.
    As for Chris, the Thor depicter is still happily married to wife Elsa Pataky. The “Fast Five” actress, however, recently opened up that their marriage isn’t always beautiful. “It’s funny that people think of us as a perfect couple,” she explained back in August. “No way. It’s been ups and downs, and we still keep working at the relationship.”
    Just like other celebrity couples, the 37-year-old actor and the 44-year-old star celebrated this year’s Halloween with fun costumes. Chris channeled his inner Western movie star, wearing a Clint Eastwood-inspired ensemble. Meanwhile, his lady love transformed into Harley Quinn for a day.
    Their kids, daughter India Rose and six-year-old twin boys Sasha and Tristan, also dressed up for the spooky holiday. They morphed into terrifying wolf and bloodied clowns, while Chris’ brother Luke Hemsworth came as Joe Exotic.

    AceShowbiz – Andrew Garfield, Ralph Fiennes, Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, and Joe Alwyn lead the reported cast for a star-studded TV reboot of “Brideshead Revisited”.
    The classic British TV serial, starring Jeremy Irons and Anthony Andrews, follows the life and romances of the protagonist Charles Ryder – including his friendship with the Flytes, a family of wealthy English Catholics who lives in a palatial mansion called Brideshead Castle.
    According to the Daily Mail’s Baz Bamigboye, Garfield will take the part of anguished artist Ryder, previously played by Irons in the 1981 original, who befriends Alwyn’s aristocratic Sebastian Flyte while at Oxford University. His sister, Lady Julia – who comes between his friendship with Ryder – will be played by Mara.
    Fiennes, meanwhile, has been chosen to play the Flyte siblings’ patriarch, Lord Marchmain, with Blanchett in negotiations to play their pious mother, Lady Marchmain, reported the Daily Mail.

    Andrew Garfield was last seen on the big screen in 2018’s neo-noir black comedy thriller “Under the Silver Lake”. His new movie “Mainstream” premiered at the Venice Film Festival on September this year. His next projects include drama “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical “Tick, Tick… Boom!”
    He is also rumored to join the new Spider-Man, Tom Holland, in the upcoming third movie reboot along with another Spidey alum Tobey Maguire as the new film is expected to feature multiverse storyline.
    The casting rumors came a few months after it’s revealed that the 2018 animated “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, which revolved around black Spidey Miles Morales, almost brought together the three life-action movie stars Andrew, Tobey, and Tom.

    The movie star reveals his new project, “Indigo”, is “Foxy Brown meets Mission: Impossible” and he’s on the hunt for fresh talent to lead the cast.
    “We are looking for new talent and want to discover a new female action star, a woman of colour, and a bunch of her girlfriends who do their La Femme Nikita thing,” Snipes tells the “Life Is… with Damien King Lee” podcast.
    “We are doing a global virtual casting. We have a body movement specialist, where we would take them through a training programme, bringing grand masters from various disciplines like martial arts, dance, cinematography, directing; all of the things that go into the qualities that you need to become an action star.”

    The U.S. late night host slammed the president during his impassioned monologue on Thursday (06Nov20), noting that he was “dressed for a funeral” and was heartbroken by Trump’s remarks.
    “We’re taping this just a little while after Donald Trump walked into the White House briefing room actually and tried to poison American democracy,” Colbert said, dressed in all black. “Around seven o’clock the president came out into the briefing room and lied for 15 minutes, just nonsensical stuff about illegal vote dumps and corrupt election officials and secret Democratic counting cabals… And if you didn’t know that Joe Biden was getting close to 270, Donald Trump just provided you all the proof you will ever need.”
    Colbert went on to admit he predicted this behaviour from the president, admitting, “We all knew he would do this. What I didn’t know is that it would hurt so much. I didn’t expect this to break my heart. For him to cast a dark shadow on our most sacred right, from the briefing room in the White House ‒ our House, not his – that is devastating.”

This is the time to get off the Donald Trump train.”

    AceShowbiz – Jude Law and his son Rafferty’s new short film, “The Hat”, has won a top prize at Britain’s Raindance Film Festival.
    “The Hat”, directed by Darren Strowger, the current beau of Jude’s ex and Rafferty’s mum Sadie Frost, features an original music score by The Who’s Pete Townshend and was shot entirely on iPhones during the coronavirus lockdown.
    Announcing the short as a winner on Friday (06Nov20), Raindance Festival director Elliot Grove praised the movie, the profits from which will be donated to teen cancer charities.
    “Raindance is thrilled to declare The Hat as the recipient of the Spirit of the Festival Award,” he said. “Not only was The Hat made during Lockdown, what Darren has done is pioneered a new and disruptive model for financing charitable causes.”

    “The Hat” is the first in a planned series of short films aimed at raising money for cancer charities hit with funding shortfalls due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
    The movie was due to receive its world premiere at the Raindance Film Festival on Friday – but the event has been delayed until December as the U.K. re-entered lockdown on Thursday.
    Other winners at Raindance included Johnny Flynn, who won Best Performance for his portrayal of a young David Bowie in biopic “Stardust”, Milcho Manchevski, who was named Best Director for “Willow”, and Greek comedy “Not to Be Unpleasant but We Need to Have a Serious Talk”, which won Film of the Festival.

    AceShowbiz – Popular U.S. weatherman Al Roker is battling prostate cancer.
    The “Today” show star opened up on his diagnosis on Friday’s (06Nov20) instalment of the show, confirming that, “after a routine check-up in September, turns out I have prostate cancer. And it’s a good news-bad news kind of thing.”
    “The good news is we caught it early, not great news is that it’s a little aggressive so I’m going to be taking some time off to take care of this,” the 66-year-old explained.
    After doctors noticed he had a high prostate-specific antigen level during a physical on 29 September, Roker underwent an MRI scan and then a biopsy, which confirmed his diagnosis.

    The NBC News co-host will have his prostate removed and said he hopes to return to the programme in two weeks, adding, “I don’t want people thinking, ‘Poor Al’ because I’m going to be OK.’ ”

    Al Roker’s wife, Deborah Roberts who works for ABC, also issued a statement on Twitter following his announcement, “As many of you now know my hubby is battling prostate cancer. We are prayerful and hopeful he will be fine. Thanks for all the kind words, prayers and positivity.”
    He responded, “Thanks, sweetheart. Love you.”
    He later added, “I want to thank everyone sending all the good thoughts, wishes and prayers our way. Looking forward to seeing you all in a couple of weeks.”

    The actor sued tabloid bosses at The Sun after he was labelled a “wife beater” in a 2018 article related to claims made by his ex-spouse, Amber Heard, but the judge ruled against him on Monday (02Nov20).
    Lawyers for Depp, who has always denied Heard’s accusations, vowed to appeal the decision, but the legal drama has prompted Warner Bros. chiefs to cut ties with the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star for their “Harry Potter” spin-off movies.
    Depp took to Instagram on Friday to announce he was stepping down as Gellert Grindelwald in the third “Fantastic Beasts” film, as requested by studio executives.
    He also used the post to express his gratitude to fans for their support, as the defiant 57 year old declared his intention to challenge the U.K. court ruling.

    Meanwhile, Warner Bros. officials have confirmed plans to recast Depp’s role as the dark wizard, which he portrayed in 2016’s “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, and its 2018 sequel, “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald”.
    A statement reads, “Johnny Depp will depart the Fantastic Beasts franchise. We thank Johnny for his work on the films to date.”
    “Fantastic Beasts 3 is currently in production, and the role of Gellert Grindelwald will be recast.”
    “The film will debut in theatres worldwide in the summer of 2022.”

    AceShowbiz – Andy Cohen is planning to bring “The Real Housewives of Miami” back. The Bravo executive producer revealed in the Thursday, November 4 episode of the “Everything Iconic” podcast that he’s been eyeing Peacock as a new home for the fourth season of the reality series.
    “I have really been trying to get Peacock to pick up ‘Miami’,” the “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” host said. “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this. I don’t know where we are with that. I have to say the fans of ‘Miami’ are still very vocal, and so I’ve been an advocate for Peacock bringing back ‘Miami’.”
    When asked about the reason why the series wasn’t as successful as other “Housewives” series, Andy shared that cast member Elsa Patton’s health issues affected “RHOM”. “I think ‘Miami’ as it was on Bravo really suffered from Mama Elsa not being around in season 3,” Andy said of Elsa, who died in May 2019 at the age of 84.
    “She was very sick. I think she was a more important part of that show than people realized. The problem with the third season was that the ratings were declining as it went on and they went down for the reunion, which is usually the opposite of what happens. I think that went into the decision to not pick it up,” he went on saying.

    In other news, Andy angered people online for defending former Sen. Claire McCaskill for using a controversial term for transgender people. She used the word “transsexuals” instead of “transgender” during an MSNBC interview on Wednesday, earning her backlash.
    In response to the criticism, Claire offered a public apology by writing on Twitter, “I’m so sorry I used hurtful term last night.I was tired,but never a good excuse.People have misinterpreted what I was trying to say.Our party should never leave behind our fight 4 equality for trans people or anyone else who has been marginalized by hate. My record reflects that.”

    Andy caught wind of the tweet and offered support. “You misspoke. Don’t think twice about it,” he replied. Fans quickly attacked the TV personality as one wrote to him, “Go screw yourself, @Andy. Who tf do you think YOU are to tell her it’s all ok that she s**t on trans people?” Another person wrote, “Don’t forgive her on behalf of someone else. That’s not your place.”
