  • Busta Rhymes Hits Back at T.I. for Saying He's Too Old to Face T.I. in Rap Battle

    WENN/Instagram

The Brooklyn rapper trolls the Atlanta star for citing ‘generation gap’ as the reason behind his refusal to do a rap battle, calling it a ‘fancy way’ to run from the challenge.

    Oct 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Busta Rhymes, 48, scoffed at T.I., 40, after the latter said Busta was too old to do a rap-off with him. “Busta’s one of the most phenomenal talents of our time, man,” T.I. recently said. “I salute and respect Busta a whole lot. I just think the generational gap might be a little too much.”
Busta was quick to respond on his Instagram. “It’s okay to let people know that you backed down from this Verzuz offer. It’s okay, Tip. You’ve ‘respectfully declined.’ I guess that’s the fancy way to say that you turned down this Verzuz battle,” the Brooklyn rapper said in his video.
“You want to talk about generational gap? That’s a very respectful way of not saying that you don’t really want to sit in the smoking section with me and that you actually just turned down the opportunity to do this Verzuz battle with me. It’s cool, Tip. You can say it, King of the South!”
Busta added on his caption, “YOU OFFICIALLY RAN FROM THIS A** BEATIN’ KING!! But I still love you my brother!!”

As T.I. turned down Busta Rhymes’ rap battle invite, he challenged 50 Cent and Young Jeezy. Fifty, 45, never responded while T.I.’s battle with Jeezy, 43, still hasn’t materialized despite Jeezy saying yes to the challenge. “Put a date on it. I’m gonna beat you there,” Jeezy previously said.
Since its inception by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland earlier this year during lockdown, “Verzuz” has become a highly-anticipated online streaming show during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. • Drew Barrymore Dissed by Ex-Husband After His Still Living Uncle's 'Spirit' Was Summoned on Her Show

    WENN

Will Kopelman criticizes the ‘Drew Barrymore Show’ host for ‘giving oxygen’ to ‘self-entitled mediums’ after a psychic named Anna Raimondi summoned his ‘dead’ relative on TV.

    Oct 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Drew Barrymore’s ex-husband Will Kopelman has hit out at psychic Anna Raimondi who seemingly summoned one of the actress’ ‘dead’ relatives on-air – who is actually alive and well in Boston
Raimondi appeared on Barrymore’s talk show and stunned viewers by claiming to summon the spirit of a “judge” who the actress and host identified as David – a relative of Kopelman – whom she said had died.
The psychic stoked Barrymore’s emotions, saying the presence of Kopelman’s family was evidence that “you are… a part of that family – it doesn’t matter (that) the two of you are not together anymore.”

However, speaking to the New York Post’s gossip column Page Six, Kopelman, who was married to Barrymore from 2012 to 2016, revealed the “spirit” summoned by the medium is still living.
“Drew and I have a close and highly amicable co-parenting relationship; I have and always will continue to cheer her on from the sidelines. That being said, the segment was a solid laugh considering my uncle Judge David Kopelman is still very much alive,” he explained.
“I’m a little surprised that Drew chose to give oxygen to someone like this, because self-entitled mediums who prey on vulnerable bereaved people with claims they can communicate with their dead loved ones in exchange for fame and compensation all belong in jail,” he added.
“None of my dead relatives – all of whom I’m sure would have really liked Drew – are speaking with some submental hack working the talk show circuit. This I assure you.”
A representative for Barrymore later clarified, “The grandfather of Will is Frank, who was a judge and is deceased. David is… Will’s uncle, who’s alive and also a judge. That was the confusion.” The psychic added, “I felt a judge who is passed. Drew said David. I only felt a judge.”

  • Jill Duggar Had to Hire Attorney to Help Her Get Paid for Family's Reality Shows

    Instagram

Even though the reality TV star appeared on ’19 Kids and Counting’ and ‘Counting On’ for years, she claims in a new interview she didn’t receive any compensation until she quit in 2017.

    Oct 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Jill Duggar has had to use the law to get a paycheck from her appearance on her family’s reality shows. Years after quitting “Counting On”, the former star of “19 Kids and Counting” claimed that she did not receive any compensation for her appearance on both shows, and revealed that she had to get a lawyer involved to finally get paid.
The 29-year-old TV personality, who left the spin-off series with husband Derick Dillard in 2017, first made the revelation in a Q&A video published on the Dillard Family Official YouTube channel on September 30. “Up until around the time we left the show we hadn’t been paid for anything,” she confessed.
“Of course there were perks that came along with filming you know if you were traveling or whatever they might cover those expenses and stuff and we were grateful for those,” she went on explaining. “But yeah we hadn’t been paid until we were like pressing about it and ended up getting an attorney involved.”
Supporting Jill’s statement was her husband Derick. In the video, he stated that while they finally got paid, the money they received was not enough. “It probably ended up being a little more than minimum wage,” he pointed out. “But we were able to recover at least something.”

In a new interview with PEOPLE, Jill admitted that “it was a process” for them to “finally recovered some of the money.” Meanwhile, her father Jim Bob Duggar was believed to have earned an estimation of $25,000 to $45,000 per episode.
On Wednesday, October 7, Jill and Derick put up another Q&A video on their YouTube channel. This time around, the two discussed the reason for their exit from the show. “We left the show three years ago because basically our family goals that we had for ourselves didn’t align with what we found out,” she shared.
“We ended up finding out that we didn’t have as much control over our lives as it related to the show and stuff as we felt like we needed,” Jill continued. “We had to make a decision at that time to kind of put the show aside just to pursue our own goals.”

  • Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat Defends Rudy Giuliani's Compromising Scene as 'Innocent Sexy-Time'

    Instagram

The comedian back in character as the Kazakh journalist to speak about the former New York City mayor’s scandal involving his onscreen daughter Maria Bakalova.

    Oct 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Borat himself has spoken up after his daughter, 15-year-old daughter Sandra Jessica Parker Sagdiyev, was caught in a shocking scandal with Rudy Giuliani. Sacha Baron Cohen is back as the fictional Kazakh journalist in a new video to defend the 76-year-old politician.
“Jagshemash. I here to defend America’s mayor, Rudolph Giuliani,” he says in the video posted on “Borat” social media accounts on Thursday, October 22. Describing the compromising scene in “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm” as “an innocent sex-time encounter between a consenting man and my 15-year-old daughter,” he blames “fake news media” for turning it “into something disgusting.”
He mimicks Pinocchio’s nose which grows longer every time he lies, before warning people, “Anyone else try this and Rudolph will not hesitate to reach into his legal briefs and whip out his subpenis.” He captions the video with “OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM BORAT SAGDIYEV.”

Giuliani is accused of acting inappropriate after he’s seen lying in bed and reaching down into his pants while in a hotel room with Borat’s fictional daughter, played by 24-year-old actress Maria Bakalova.
The personal lawyer to Donald Trump quickly defended himself, claiming that “the Borat video is a complete fabrication.” He explained in a series of Twitter posts on Wednesday, “I was tucking in my shirt after taking off the recording equipment. At no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise he is a stone-cold liar.”
He suggested that his depiction in the film was orchestrated by Joe Biden’s team. “This is an effort to blunt my relentless exposure of the criminality and depravity of Joe Biden and his entire family,” so he claimed.
“Deadline Hollywood reports CAA had a distribution screening in September where there was no mention of the scene holding any importance,” he continued. “We are preparing much bigger dumps off of the hard drive from hell, of which Joe Biden will be unable to defend or hide from. I have the receipts.”
The “Borat” sequel will premiere October 23 on Amazon.

    Oct 23, 2020

Boasting a star-studded cast that includes Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, James Corden, Keegan-Michael Key, Andrew Rannells and Kerry Washington among others, the film is based on the 2018 musical of the same name.
The teaser trailer sees Emma Nolan (newcomer Jo Ellen Pellman), a high school student, who has her prom dream getting crushed because of her sexual orientation. Enter Dee Dee Allen (Streep) and Angie (Kidman), who are determined to save the day for Emma and bring her the prom that she desires.

From then on, Dee Dee, Barry Glickman (Corden), Angie and Trent (Rannells) are seen turning the street and a shopping center into their stage. Music is also taking over some students who perform in the school alley.

Meanwhile, in small-town Indiana, high school student Emma Nolan is experiencing a very different kind of heartbreak: despite the support of the high school principal (Key), the head of the PTA (Washington) has banned her from attending the prom with her girlfriend, Alyssa (Ariana DeBose).
When Dee Dee and Barry decide that Emma’s predicament is the perfect cause to help resurrect their public images, they hit the road with Angie and Trent, another pair of cynical actors looking for a professional lift. Ryan Murphy directs “The Prom” movie, which script is written by Chad Beguelin and Bob Martin, who wrote the Broadway musical as well as the book it’s based on. • Bethenny Frankel Retracts Clapback at Tyra Banks Over Alleged 'Real Housewives' Ban on 'DWTS'

    WENN/Nicky Nelson

The former ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ star posts and then deletes her angry response to report that Tyra doesn’t want any Housewives on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ because they ‘do not make headlines anymore.’

    Oct 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Bethenny Frankel was left fuming after learning that Tyra Banks allegedly put a ban on the “Real Housewives” cast from appearing on “Dancing with the Stars”. The former “The Real Housewives of New York City” star took to Twitter on Thursday, October 22 to express her displeasure at the report.
“Good to know @tyrabanks has clumped me in her no more housewives mandate on @DancingABC,” the 49-year-old reality TV star tweeted. Claiming that she has been asked to appear on the show multiple times in the past, she added, “Also good to know-their casting director Deena, who I [a heart emoji] has asked me to be on that show multiple x in the last decade.”
“I’m also no longer a housewife,” she pointed out, as she left “RHONY” for the second time in 2019 after appearing in eight out of twelve seasons since its premiere in 2008. She went on addressing her response specifically to Tyra as concluding, “but nobody is bigger than the game Tyra.”

Bethenny Frankel angrily responded to alleged ‘Real Housewives’ ban on ‘DWTS’.
But Bethenny seemed to regret posting the clapback at Tyra. Just hours later, she deleted her angry response to the alleged ban and replaced it with a tweet which read, “I deleted that last post Bc I really like & have a great relationship with Deena Katz from #DWTS.”

Making it clear that she has no hard feelings toward Tyra, she went on inviting the new “DWTS” host to her podcast show, “If @tyrabanks wants to come on my podcast, she is welcome anytime as she has built a successful brand on her own in her own way. #justbwithbethenny.”

Bethenny retracted her clapback at Tyra.
It was OK! which first reported that Tyra doesn’t want any of the “Real Housewives” stars on “DWTS”, on which she also serves as an executive producer now. “Tyra has never been a fan of the Housewives,” a source told the site. The insider added that “the real reason she doesn’t want them on her show is that Bethenny Frankel, NeNe Leakes and Teresa Giudice do not make headlines anymore.”
The 46-year-old former supermodel allegedly “made it clear that she didn’t want any more Housewives in her ballroom. She thinks the show needs to aim higher and only book the ladies after everyone else has passed. Several ladies from the Bravo franchise have already made it clear that they would love to put on their dancing shoes, but Tyra doesn’t want any of them right now.”
Neither “DWTS” nor Tyra has responded to the alleged ban report.

  • T.I. Cites 'Generation Gap' for Turning Down Busta Rhymes' Rap Battle Challenge

    Instagram/WENN

The Grand Hustle rapper explains why he refused to accept Busta Rhymes’ rap-off challenge, claiming that the ‘I Know What You Want’ hitmaker is too old to become his opponent.

    Oct 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Rapper T.I. has turned down Busta Rhymes’ challenge for a rap-off on “Verzuz”, insisting the “I Know What You Want” hitmaker is too old.
Busta invited T.I. to join him on Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s online initiative, which pits rappers and singers with similar backgrounds and fan bases against each other, during a recent chat with Fat Joe, telling the “Live Your Life” star, “I’ma bust your a** (sic).”
T.I. has been quick to respond, but his wannabe opponent might not like what the Georgia-based rapper has to say.

  • This '90210' Star Accuses Jessica Alba of Lying About No Eye Contact Rule on Set

    WENN

Christine Elise doesn’t hold back as she slams the ‘L.A.’s Finest’ actress for suddenly ‘s**t talking’ the ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ show decades after her cameo appearances.

    Oct 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Christine Elise has accused Jessica Alba of lying about an on-set rule not to look at the regulars.
Alba appeared as a teen mum in two episodes of the hit TV drama and recently confessed she was told she’d be kicked off the set if she so much as glanced at stars like Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling.
Garth and Spelling, along with castmates Jason Priestley and Brian Austin Green and the director of the episodes, have responded, insisting they never knew there was such a silly rule, and now Elise is weighing in and calling out Alba.
“Is she f**ing insane? There’s no way,” the actress raged on Wednesday’s (21Oct20) edition of the “Beverly Hills, 90210 Show” podcast.
“(Producer) Paul Waigner did say, ‘The girls may not be nice, the guys might not be nice’, but that’s as bad as it got! That cast is very nice and if they don’t like you, they go away. That whole ‘Don’t make eye contact’ is – I’m gonna call it what it is – it’s a f**king lie.”

      See also…

Elise, who appeared in 12 episodes of the hit teen drama, added, “Why is she invested in s**t talking a show from 30 years ago? She’s doing great. She’s a bazillionaire with her little Honest company!”
Joel Feigenbaum, who directed Alba’s episodes, recently told the podcast he was shocked by her claim.
“It’s very possible someone could have said that to her, either seriously or not,” he said. “I can’t imagine who it would have been. It certainly wasn’t one of the cast… I certainly was never aware of it and you certainly never saw that on the set anyway.”
And Green previously said, “The one thing that we really were good about on our set was making people feel welcome and feel like they were a part of the family and what we were doing, and they were a part of the team. I can’t imagine that at all. And I can’t imagine that she heard that from somebody close enough to us that it was a direct reflection of any one of us.”
Priestley, who dated Elise for five years after they met on the show, also picked at Alba’s claim, adding, “I always went out of my way to make sure that our guests always felt incredibly welcomed. I would always go and talk to them and make sure they knew this was a place where we wanted them to succeed.”
