    Terrence Howard Files Lawsuit Against TV Bosses Over 'Empire' Logo

    The Lucious Lyon depicter has launched another lawsuit against FOX, accusing the TV bosses of using his image from movie ‘Hustle and Flow’ for the show logo.

    AceShowbiz – Terrence Howard has accused 20th Century Fox officials of using his likeness from “Hustle & Flow” to promote their hit show “Empire”.
    In a new lawsuit, the star, who played Lucious Lyon on all six seasons of Empire, says bosses at the company failed to offer a satisfactory answer when asked how they came up with the “Empire” logo – since he never sat down for a photoshoot.
    He says he ultimately determined the image was taken from the “Hustle & Flow” scene where “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp” is being recorded in a studio, explaining, “The still frame was selected, reversed (face looking left, not right), and subjected to CGI that simply distilled the cinematographer’s skilled capture of the head with vibrant light and shadow.”
    Howard insists he should be compensated for use of the image as he would have been paid by officials at Paramount – the studio behind “Hustle & Flow” – if 20th Century Fox got a proper license to use his image from the movie.

    He’s suing for damages and wants an accounting of all the “Empire” merchandise using the logo, according to TMZ.
    Terrence Howard and FOX fell out as the show was coming to an end earlier this year. In March, the actor filed a lawsuit against the TV bosses for breach of contract over allegations of outstanding payment. According to him, he has not received his fees for the last three episodes produced.
    The TV channel was also caught up in a legal battle between Howard and ex-wife Michelle Ghent. She served FOX bosses with a legal notice seeking to have her ex-husband’s wages sent directly to her since he owed her spousal support.
    Howard was ordered to pay Ghent $1.3 million in backdated spousal support last August. As he’s appealing the ruling, he declined to cut a cheque until his challenge was heard.

    AceShowbiz – Lily James made her first television appearance since hitting headlines worldwide with pictures of her kissing her married co-star Dominic West as she spoke to Jimmy Fallon on his U.S. talk show on Wednesday night (21Oct20).
    The 31-year-old actress had cancelled a string of television interviews, on shows including “The Graham Norton Show” and America’s “Today” show in America, following the emergence of the snaps. But interviewer Fallon stuck to the script and didn’t ask Lily about the romance speculation as she appeared on the programme, instead, asking questions about “Mamma Mia!” and the Netflix adaptation of “Rebecca”.
    The British star looked somewhat nervous as she faced Fallon on the video interview, but smiled for the camera as she insisted she’d be up for starring in another “Mamma Mia!” movie, and also reflected on her own experiences with ghosts considering the dark undertones of “Rebecca”.

    Lily’s appearance on “The Tonight Show” came after she and Dominic, who star together in the upcoming “Pursuit of Love”, were accused of breaking strict Covid-19 rules when they were pictured riding together through Rome, Italy, on the same electric scooter.
    “The law is quite clear – riding tandem on an e-scooter is forbidden,” local councillor Stefano Marin told Britain’s The Sun newspaper. “It’s a breach of the highway code and a breach of the new COVID laws. You are supposed to maintain social distance and riding tandem on a scooter is not keeping social distance.
    “Now we have been made aware of this we shall be investigating. The law is equal for all.”
    Representatives for Lily and Dominic have yet to comment on the councillor’s allegation, or the pictures.
    Following the publication of the cosy images with Lily, Dominic returned home to put on a united front with wife Catherine Fitzgerald, with the pair smiling and kissing for waiting journalists, as well as handing out a piece of paper on which they insisted they were still “very much together.”

    AceShowbiz – Saoirse Ronan celebrated her birthday on the set of “Ammonite” by filming a sex scene with co-star Kate Winslet.
    The “Titanic” star thought it would be fun to lock lips with her castmate as part of her celebrations and scheduled the intimate scene with filmmakers accordingly.
    “I just wanted her to have, frankly, a great memory in her film life, regardless of how the scene played out or the movie turned out…,” Kate told Entertainment Weekly. “I knew that it would be (great) just because of the experience that we would share together.”

    Kate previously admitted she was “by far the least self-conscious” she’s ever been filming a sex scene when she shot one with Saoirse in the period film, stating, “Saoirse and I choreographed the scene ourselves… I just think Saoirse and I, we just felt really safe. (Director) Francis (Lee) was naturally very nervous and I just said to him, ‘Listen, let us work it out’. And we did: ‘We’ll start here. We’ll do this with the kissing, boobs, you go down there, then you do this, then you climb up here’. We marked out the beats of the scene so that we were anchored in something that just supported the narrative.”
    Kate previously revealed that she tended to be protective to her other younger co-stars. Back in September, she told Vanity Fair that she once stayed on “Mare of Easttown” set late to ensure that Angourie Rice, who was 19 at the time, was safe while filming an intimate scene.
    “I actually ended up being in the trunk of the car, screwed up in a little ball, just so they weren’t alone in the car with two men who, by the way, are completely lovely, respectful, seasoned camera operators,” she recalled. “But still, she was young and it was a potential trigger moment for her. I didn’t want for her to feel that way.”

    AceShowbiz – Gina Kirschenheiter was confronted over her shocking revelation about Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s husband Sean Burke in the Wednesday, October 21 episode of “The Real Housewives of Orange County”. The 36-year-old reality star claimed that Sean sent her a “creepy” text last year.
    It started after Gina confronted Braunwyn for shaming her for living in a “tiny condo.” She called Braunwyn while she was having dinner with Emily Simpson, asking her, “I heard you’re taking shots at me.” Braunwyn didn’t deny it as she responded, “I have been!”

    AceShowbiz – LisaRaye McCoy and Stacey Dash’s show “Single Ladies” lasted only one season on VH1, but it was full of drama. In a clip from a Thursday, October 22 episode of “Hustling with ViviCa A. Fox” podcast, the fomer details a heated confrontation between her and Stacey.
    “At first, she was real cool,” LisaRaye shares to Vivica, adding, “I’m just going to put that out there, she was dating somebody. She was happy.” However, things changed when the filming on one day went late into the night, prompting Stacey to allegedly become frustrated because her boyfriend was in town at the time.
    “It’s like 2:00 in the morning and we’re still at it. And she gets an attitude and she doesn’t say her line to me,” LisaRaye goes on to detail. “So even the director was like, ‘Stacey, look at [LisaRaye’s character, Keisha] when you deliver that line and then leave.’ So, by the fourth or fifth take I’m thinking, ‘This is just a one-liner, like, girl, what’s the problem?’ And that’s what I say.”
    “And she looks and rolls her eyes, but you know I don’t think nothing … but honey child, when I tell you when the director had to come out and speak to her, I had walked over to Stacey and said, ‘Just say the line,’ she put her finger in my face and said, ‘You can’t tell me anything,’ ” the actress continues. “You could hear a pin drop on set,” she says, adding that she “Went Southside Chicago” on Stacey.

    Recalling the fight, LisaRaye says, “I just said, ‘Stacy, if you don’t take your motherf***ing finger out my face…’ but that’s all I had to say because by that time she was taking her heels off and strutting to her dressing room,” LisaRaye continued, “and I was like hold on, ‘You got more to say? Because I can meet you in your dressing room! You want it, you can have it.’ ”
    LisaRaye then claims that Stacey arrived on the set with a security team the next day. “She absolutely did. And I never said this part before, but she came with security and I was like, ‘Oh, what’s going on today?’ and they was like, ‘You! She brought them for your a**,’ ” she shares. “I said, ‘Get outta here!’ I went to the damn producers I said, ‘Do you know how this would look if this gets out? That she had to bring security to set for me? It will make me look like I’m a bully and y’all ain’t got my back?’ ”
    LisaRaye admits that she initially threatened to stay in her dressing room before she eventually decided to be professional about this. “Let me go ahead and do what I need to do because one monkey don’t stop no show,” she says. “And then she wasn’t really that relevant or important to me either. .. I thought it would be something she would get over, but she just carried it on, and then I heard she had problems with wardrobe and they start coming telling their stories, and then the producers … yeah, I was just like, ‘Girl, please.’ ”

    Stacey apparently has caught wind of LisaRaye’s claims as she releases a statement to TooFab regarding the matter. “I have known Lisa by working with her on ‘Single Ladies’ for many years. She was lovely and I absolutely loved working on that show,” she stated. “It was one of my favorite roles. I do wish Lisa the very best in life and hope she is successful in everything she does.”

    Kelly revealed on Tuesday, October 20 that the reason behind Ryan’s absence was because he was waiting for his test results for COVID-19. Thankfully, the test came back negative. “UPDATE: Great news.. test came back and he’s negative! Ryan will be back tomorrow!” the show announced on Instagram.
    The “American Idol” host allegedly “had a minimal cough, and out of precaution wanted to make sure he had a negative test before going back to ‘Live’, which he did.”

    AceShowbiz – Demi Lovato isn’t buying Rudy Giuliani’s explanation of his inappropriate scene in “Borat 2”. The personal lawyer to President Donald Trump was caught in a compromising position in a scene filmed with actress Maria Bakalova, 24, who plays star Sacha Baron Cohen’s onscreen 15-year-old daughter Tutar.
    In the scene in question, Giuliani went into a hotel room with Bakalova, whom he believed just interviewed him for a conservative news program, to have a drink. The camera then captured the former New York City mayor helping the actress remove a clip microphone from the reporter’s dress, and she, in turn, helped Giulani remove his clip microphone as he gave her a pat on the back.
    When Bakalova turned away, Giulani lied down on the bed and untucked his shirt. He then reached down into her pants and moved it around for several seconds.
    After he’s accused of acting inappropriate during the filming of the scene, Giulani defended himself, saying that “the Borat video is a complete fabrication.” He explained, “I was tucking in my shirt after taking off the recording equipment. At no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise he is a stone-cold liar.”
    But the whole sequence of the incident has got Lovato suspicious and she mocked the 76-year-old politician for his explanation. “So you normally drink with reporters, follow them to the bedroom and then lie on the bed and let her take off your mic for you? I guess I’ve been doin my interviews all wrong…,” she sarcastically tweeted.

    Demi Lovato reacted to Rudy Giuliani’s explanation.
    Lovato isn’t the only celebrity who has blasted Giulani for his scene in the “Borat” sequel. Josh Gad wrote on his own Twitter account, “Well, looks like the cat’s out of the pants. Having seen #Borat2 I can now safely tell you #RudyGiuliani is over in a very big way. It’s worse than you think and more uncomfortable than anything I’ve seen in a recent film, documentary or otherwise.”

    Meghan McCain also reacted to Giulani’s ‘Borat 2’ scene.
    In a series of Twitter posts, Giulani also suggested that his depiction in the film was orchestrated by Joe Biden’s team. “This is an effort to blunt my relentless exposure of the criminality and depravity of Joe Biden and his entire family,” so he claimed.
    “Deadline Hollywood reports CAA had a distribution screening in September where there was no mention of the scene holding any importance,” he continued. “We are preparing much bigger dumps off of the hard drive from hell, of which Joe Biden will be unable to defend or hide from. I have the receipts.”

    Giuliani defended himself after caught in compromising position in the ‘Borat’ sequel.
    Back in July, Giulani called the cops when he realized that the interview was a prank set up by Cohen for his film. “This guy comes running in, wearing a crazy, what I would say was a pink transgender outfit,” he told The New York Post that same month. “This person comes in yelling and screaming, and I thought this must be a scam or a shake-down, so I reported it to the police. He then ran away. I only later realized it must have been Sacha Baron Cohen. I thought about all the people he previously fooled and I felt good about myself because he didn’t get me.”
    “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm” will premiere October 23 on Amazon.
