    Jared Leto Returns as Joker for Zack Snyder's 'Justice League' Cut

    The actor playing Batman’s supervillain in the 2017 movie has joined in the shooting of additional footage for the ‘Snyder Cut’, which will be released on HBO Max.

    AceShowbiz – Jared Leto is back as Joker for “Zack Snyder’s Justice League”. The actor will reprise his role as Batman’s arch-nemesis in the filmmaker’s version of the DC-Warner Bros. superhero movie, after he was forced to exit in 2017 during post-production due to a family tragedy.
    Leto has now been called back by Synder and joined Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher as well as Amber Heard for the shooting of additional footage of what is dubbed the “Snyder Cut”. It is unknown, though, how big his role will be in the film.
    Leto was previously reported upset with Warner Bros. when the studio tapped Joaquin Phoenix for the title role in standalone Joker film. Both the actor and the studio, however, were apparently able to smooth things over and allow for his return for Snyder’s version of “Justice League”.
    And getting back into the role might not be that hard for the “American Psycho” star as he has been maintaining his buffed physique lately. On the same day news of his Joker return broke, he shared a thirst trap for “hump day” while urging people to vote.

    The selfie saw the 48-year-old actor/singer almost naked while taking the picture with his cellphone. Focusing on his ripped chest, he cropped out most of his face in the image, but it can be seen that he currently doesn’t sport full facial hair which he has grown in the past. “Happy hump day,” he wrote in the caption, adding, “P.S. Don’t forget to vote.”

    Back to “Justice League”, Synder was replaced by Joss Whedon, who oversaw reshoots and post-production, after his exit. Despite receiving mixed reviews, Whedon’s cut had an underwhelming performance at box office, grossing a total of $657.9 million worldwide against an estimated break-even point of as much as $750 million.
    Fans then demanded Synder’s cut be released, with Affleck and Gal Gadot supporting the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign. In May of this year, Snyder announced that he’s working to complete his version of the movie, which will cost over $20-$30 million for the special effects, musical score and editing.
    It will be released as a four-part miniseries in 2021, with each installment being an hour long, followed by a version that will combine the episodes into a four-hour long film. Gadot, Henry Cavill, Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa are also reportedly returning for reshoots.

    Michael Jackson's Estate Demands 'Leaving Neverland' Director Hand Over Materials Relating to Sequel

    Filmmaker Dan Reed has been hit with subpoenas by the lawyers representing the late King of Pop’s estate as the director is working on a sequel to his Emmy award-winning documentary.

    AceShowbiz – Director Dan Reed is working on a sequel to his Emmy award-winning documentary “Leaving Neverland”.
    Wade Robson and James Safechuck’s allegations that Michael Jackson sexually assaulted them when they were minors formed the basis of Reed’s previous documentary for Channel 4 and HBO.
    And now, according to Deadline, Reed has been filming Robson and Safechuck in their fight against Jackson’s legacy companies MJJ Productions and MJJ Ventures in Los Angeles Superior Court.
    However, while Reed is attempting to use the footage for a follow-up movie for Channel 4, he and his production company Amos Pictures have apparently been served with subpoenas on 21 September (20) demanding he appears in a deposition and hand over documents and materials relating to “Leaving Neverland” and its potential sequel.
    Following the subpoenas, Jackson’s attorneys filed a brief in which they attempted to discredit Reed by making various allegations including that he paid Safechuck and Robson to appear in his films – while also trying to ban him from filming inside the courtroom.

    Hitting back, Reed filed his own motion to quash the subpoenas – stating that as he is a U.K. resident and Amos Pictures doesn’t operate in California, it would be hard for a judge to make him hand over production materials.
    “The follow-up documentary for which I am currently filming in these cases is about current events taking place partly in public view and will be an unfolding narrative with multiple points of view,” he said in the 79-page motion, which was supported by a declaration from Louisa Compton – the head of Channel 4’s news and current affairs.
    “In particular, we at Channel 4 oppose their effort to use subpoenas to try to force Reed and his company to turn over all of their unpublished materials and drag this journalist into depositions,” she said.
    A hearing on Reed’s motion to quash the subpoenas will take place on 9 April (21).
    Deadline added that HBO is “unlikely to be involved in the second Leaving Neverland film” – due to their “own ongoing legal dispute with the Jackson estate.”
    Apparently, Amos Pictures is currently shopping around for another U.S. co-production partner.

    The 50-year-old actor made a name for himself as a Hollywood heartthrob after starring in soppy movies such as “The Wedding Planner” and “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”. In his new memoir “Greenlights”, Matthew opens up about the reputation he built for himself and explains why he decided to leave those kinds of films behind.
    “The romantic comedies remained my only consistent box office hits, which made them my only consistent incoming offers,” he wrote. “For me personally, I enjoyed being able to give people a ninety-minute breezy romantic getaway from the stress of their lives where they didn’t have to think about anything, just watch the boy chase the girl, fall down, then get up and finally get her. I had taken the baton from Hugh Grant, and I ran with it.”

    Continuing to add he “enjoyed making romantic comedies, and their paychecks rented the houses on the beach I ran shirtless on,” Matthew then revealed he turned down a seven-figure deal to star in another such movie in 2010.
    While he didn’t disclose the movie itself, he said, “I declined the offer. If I couldn’t do what I wanted, I wasn’t going to do what I didn’t, no matter the price.”
    Since leaving romcoms behind, Matthew has gone on to star in critically acclaimed films such as “Mud”, “Interstellar”, and “Dallas Buyers Club” – for which he won an Oscar.

    “At some point this abuse HAS to STOP!!” the 43-year-old star continued before claiming that she would not appear on the new season of the show, “P.s. IM NOT FILMING FOR THIS SEASON! THEY ARE DOING THIS WHILE IM NOT ON THE SHOW!! #SCUMBAGS**T.”
    Tamar also announced she had booked an exclusive interview with Tamron Hall on her daytime talk show set to air next week. While she didn’t give any details, she is expected to talk about her personal struggles that included overdose and hospitalization.

    Tamar’s suicide attempt in July led to her bitter separation from fiance David Adefeso. They accused each other of abuse and she was slapped with restraining order that required her to stay at least 100 yards away from him, his car, and his place of work.
    She was also let go from her contract with WeTV. “LIES!! no one has talked to a lawyer, or to me, sent a flower or card, text to me or NAN!!! THIS is the abuse and Lies I am talking about,” she fired back at the network back then. “This is not helping my mental state. They just won’t stop until they see me out of my mind or dead.”
    On top of that, Tamar seemingly has fallen out with her family as well. “Nobody wins when the family feuds,” she recently posted along with a broken heart emoji. The cryptic message came after sister Toni told David to leave her children out of his “shenanigans” amid his drama with Tamar.

    AceShowbiz – Tamar Braxton’s July (20) suicide attempt will play out in the forthcoming seventh season of “Braxton Family Values”.
    The singer and reality TV star was found unresponsive in her Los Angeles hotel suite by her boyfriend at the time, David Adefeso, after reportedly ingesting a cocktail of prescription drugs and alcohol.
    She was rushed to the hospital and later blamed the “toxic” reality TV industry for her mental health struggles – which will feature heavily in the forthcoming season of the show.
    In a trailer for the new series, Tamar’s sister, singer Toni, is seen dashing out of the recording studio after being told her sibling had been hospitalised via a phone call.
    Speaking in a confessional, Toni told cameras that 2020 had been a “year like no other” for their family, with their mother going on to explain, “Toni called me and she told me that Tamar was rushed to the hospital because she tried to commit suicide.”

    Sibling Towanda added, “I was stunned, and really numb,” while Trina admitted, “There was no way to prepare for this.” Toni again appeared on the screen as she reflected, “It just seemed like a dream, a bad dream.”

    In a lengthy Instagram post last month (Sep20), Tamar thanked God for saving her and promised she would continue to battle against her demons after being given a second chance at life.
    Following the incident, David was granted a restraining order against Tamar after he alleged she had attacked him while a passenger in a car he was driving and threatened to have him killed.
    She is required to stay at least 100 yards away from her ex, his car and his place of work, TMZ reported.

    Interview: Something spooky is heading to Stanley Halls

    It’s a collection of ghostly stories submitted by local writers and brought to life by local actors.

    Just when we thought we’d all be stuck at home for Halloween, along comes Disentangle to drag us from our homes to the haunted surroundings of Stanley Halls for their Ghosts of Stanley Halls show. Before we go though, we wanted to know more about this creepy event and just how scared we should be. So we thought we’d go right to the heart of it all and ask Disentangled’s Tom Brocklehurst a few questions.
    First things first, is this a show to be avoided for the scaredy-cats amongst us?
    Well I suppose so! It’s going to be pretty spooky – so if you get scared at Nightmare Before Christmas you might want to stay at home.
    We’ll admit that Stanley Halls isn’t a venue we know well, what can you tell us about it?
    Stanley Halls is a beautiful old Victorian public hall in South Norwood – 2 mins from Norwood Junction rail station. It was designed by local inventor William Stanley who was a ‘self-taught’. architect, so it is a very unusual layout with secret passages and hidden rooms.
    What came first, the idea for the show or the decision to host it at Stanley Halls?
    We’ve been working with Stanley Halls on a few things, including their Emerging Writers Programme, and we loved the idea of making a Halloween show in this incredibly atmospheric building.
    How difficult has it been to get this show off the ground in the current climate? Have you had to make any adjustments to ensure social distancing is adhered to?
    Yes of course – all the audience members will need to be socially distanced and wear masks at all times. Rehearsals are currently being conducted over zoom, which is not exactly the easiest way to work!
    Is it a collection of stand-alone chilling stories or will there be a running thread that we should look out for?
    It’s a collection of ghostly stories submitted by local writers and brought to life by local actors.
    Would it be fair to describe the show as an immersive experience then?
    It’s a promenade piece, using different rooms of the halls to showcase different stories.
    And finally, we’ve got a reviewer coming along on the 29th, can you guarantee we will get him back in one piece afterwards?
    Haha, as long as he doesn’t take a wrong turn somewhere….

    AceShowbiz – New “Dancing with the Stars” host and executive producer Tyra Banks is making some changes to the long-running ABC dancing competition. While the show is open to everyone to join, the rule apparently doesn’t seem to apply to “Real Housewives” stars per Tyra’s request.
    “Tyra has never been a fan of the Housewives,” a source reveals to OK!. However, the insider adds that “the real reason she doesn’t want them on her show is that Bethenny Frankel, NeNe Leakes and Teresa Giudice do not make headlines anymore.”
    Being the new boss of the show, the former “America’s Got Talent” host allegedly “made it clear that she didn’t want any more Housewives in her ballroom. She thinks the show needs to aim higher and only book the ladies after everyone else has passed. Several ladies from the Bravo franchise have already made it clear that they would love to put on their dancing shoes, but Tyra doesn’t want any of them right now.”

She initially announced that Monica Aldama and her pro partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy were safe, only to retract it as the pair were actually in the bottom two alongside Anne Heche and Keo Motsepe, who were eliminated that night. “There’s been an error in our control room, but we’re making it happen,” the host explained. “This is live TV, right? This is the craziness of live TV.’ ”

    The news comes days after Corby made her reality TV debut on reality show “SAS Australia”, and then abruptly left the series following a tear-filled announcement on Tuesday, October 20.
    The 43-year-old made the decision after she failed to keep up with the strenuous activities the physical contest requires.
    “I feel like I have good mind control, but on an endurance level, I don’t think I’ve been pushed that far,” she admitted during the episode. “I’ve had enough. I can’t run this far one second longer.”
    Fans were also disappointed to see her departing from the show so soon. “I’m actually a bit sad Schapelle went home so early cos she seems to have quite a sweet soul, and is very different to all the other people on the show, so it would have been great to see more of her interacting with others. #SASAustralia,” a fan tweeted. Another fan added, “I was team Schappelle Corby in #SASAustralia and shattered she’s left. If you disagree you are wrong.”
