    AceShowbiz – Karen Huger isn’t gonna take sides following Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels’ violent fight. In a preview of next week’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Potomac”, Karen can be seen slamming Candiace for constantly trying to make her turn against Monique.
    “I’m a little upset that you continuously say I should be against Monique,” the 57-year-old tells Candiace. The latter argues, “I need to hear from you that you understand what Monique did was wrong,” referring to her claims that Monique attacked her first during their physical altercation earlier this season.
    Hitting back, Karen yells, “You want me to choose a side and to totally abandon Monique, and I’m not going to do that for you.” The situation prompts Dr. Wendy Osefo to chime in, telling Karen that she doesn’t have to abandon Monique and that they simply ask her to hold Monique accountable for her actions.
    Meanwhile, in the Sunday, October 18 episode of “RHOP”, the ladies found out that Candiace pressed charges against Monique following the brawl. “How are you feeling?” co-star Gizelle Bryant asked Candiace while they were at Wendy’s daughter Kamrynn’s sip and see. “I’m stressed. I only recently decided to file charges, and it was everywhere in five minutes. I wasn’t expecting it to happen that fast,” Candiace shared.

    When Candiace said that she planned to put Monique in jail, Gizelle responded, “That’s a lot.” Robyn Dixon echoed the sentiment, saying, “I would hate for her to go to jail.” While Candiace’s mom Dorothy believed that “there sould be consequences” of everything, Ashley Darby, who used to have beef with Candiace, said, “It actually started with a yelling match on both sides, from what I understand, and it escalated. [Candiace], you were in [Monique’s] face.”
    Candiace was offended by Ashley’s remarks, considering that she was actually in the bathroom when the fight erupted. “Is [Monique] paying you to be her mouth piece?” she asked Ashley, who replied, “You have been very aggressive towards me [in the past]. I’m already married to a millionaire. What do I need to be paid for?”
    As the two started arguing, Candiace’s husband Chris Bassett stepped in before it went further. “I’m not angry with the way that you’re choosing to move, because you weren’t there and you’re only able to go on what your friend is telling you. If that’s really your friend and you really trust what she says, okay, but I would implore you to just be careful,” he told Ashley.
    Meanwhile, Karen revealed to the other Housewives that she reached out to Monique following the fight. She told them that Monique seemed to regret acting violently at the time and that Monique told her that Candiace “didn’t deserve that.”

    AceShowbiz – Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are set to make this year’s Halloween more bewitching than ever. More than two decades since their film “Hocus Pocus” was released in theaters, the three actresses are set to reunite for a virtual Halloween fundraising event.
    Teasing her annual Hulaween fundraising gala, Midler has taken to her Instagram account to share the first look at the one-time-only reunion special. The 74-year-old actress and her two former co-stars put back on their iconic costumes as the Sanderson sisters while standing in front of a blue screen.
    “Your 3 fav witches – @sarahjessicaparker @kathynajimy & ME – are returning for 1 night only on 10/30 at 8p ET!” she wrote in the caption of the snap. She added, ” ‘In Search of the Sanderson Sisters’ is the best thing to happen to #Halloween since Hocus Pocus + Reeses Pieces. Get your tix now (link in bio) and support @NYRP #nyrphulaween.”

    The Halloween virtual event, which will stream on October 30, is promised to be one of the “hottest pandemic-safe Halloween events of the year.” “In Search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover” will follow the sisterly trio who return from the dead to terrorize a New England town.
    “Every year, the New York social calendar in October culminates with Midler’s annual ‘Hulaween’ costume gala, a star-studded fundraiser to benefit NYRP,” the event’s organizer said in a statement. “This year, due to COVID-19, the event will go virtual, welcoming fans of all ages around the world to attend.”
    Tickets for the event are priced at $10 and will benefit the New York Restoration Project, an organization that Midler launched back in 1995 and is dedicated to create “more green space for underserved communities to grow their own food, connect and access safe spaces directly in their neighborhood.”
    The virtual event aside, fans can hope to see more of the Sanderson sisters’ reunion as Midler, Parker and Najimy have all expressed interest in a “Hocus Pocus” sequel. “Oh my goodness me. Oh, I hope they get to me before I’m a corpse,” Midler told Entertainment Tonight last year. “We wanna fly again. I hope Disney+ is a big success and I hope we get to do it, because [Winifred] is of course one of my favorite characters…. I can’t wait to read the script. We’re gonna see what happens.”
    Parker, meanwhile, fueled the sequel rumors as she replied to a fan who asked about the possibility of a new “Hocus Pocus” movie, “We have all said yes. Now we wait.”

    AceShowbiz – Kim Kardashian is one of the guests to appear in the upcoming season of David Letterman’s Netflix show “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction”. The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star is set to discuss various topics in the wide-ranging interview, including her infamous sex tape which eventually led her to worldwide stardom.
    Speaking to the host, the 39-year-old reality TV star shared that the sex tape scandal with her ex Ray J helped her family deal with similarly controversial situations. “That meant everything to me,” Kim said, according to E! News, adding that she was “so upset” when the tape leaked online. “When we had our first big, public scandal, that is how we always got through things, is with each other. I have my family, that’s all that matters.”
    The sit-down also saw Kim getting emotional while recounting her 2016 Paris robbery. “They had been following me for two years leading up until this moment,” the wife of rapper Kanye West revealed. “I didn’t know that they had someone at the elevators, someone at the front, someone that moved the camera, someone that broke the door, someone in the getaway car. There was a whole team of people that had planned this.”

    The episode featuring Kim also saw David touching on Kim and Kanye’s friendship with President Donald Trump. “Hopefully, for the next multiple administrations, I’ll be working with the White House, helping them with clemencies,” Kim, who managed to persuade Trump to lift the life sentence on Alice Johnson, said. To that, David responded, “I’m grateful for what you’re doing, but it doesn’t make me feel any better about the current administration.”
    Kim, meanwhile, seemingly didn’t want to publicly blast POTUS as she said to David, “I understand him.” The mother of four later admitted that people warned her not to go to White House, saying, “Trust me, everyone called me and said, ‘Don’t you dare step foot in that White House or your reputation is done,’ ” though she chose to go because she wanted to work for prison reform. “But see, your good work is overwhelming. It’s a positive force that diminishes what I consider to be unacceptable behavior by the president,” David responded.
    Also featuring interviews with Robert Downey Jr., Dave Chappelle and Lizzo, upcoming season 3 of “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” will premiere on Wednesday, October 21 on Netflix.

    AceShowbiz – “Dexter” showrunner Clyde Phillips insists the Showtime reboot of the beloved TV series won’t “undo” its original ending, but will make things “right”.
    Bosses at the cable network have ordered a 10-episode run, which will reunite the show’s star, Michael C. Hall and writer/producer Clyde, with the new episodes due to air next year (21).
    Speaking on The Hollywood Reporter’s TV’s Top 5 podcast, he reveals the new show will “basically start from scratch,” explaining: “We want this to not be Dexter season nine.”
    “10 years, or however many years, have passed by the time this will air, and the show will reflect that time passage,” he adds. “In so far as the ending of the show, this will have no resemblance to how the original finale was. It’s a great opportunity to write a second finale for our show, and Showtime was very gracious about that.”

    In the original series finale, Hall’s murderous Dexter Morgan was living under a new identity in Oregon after faking his own death, leaving legions of fans dissatisfied that he was never brought to justice.
    While Clyde believes Michael was “not completely satisfied with” the finale, he insists revising the conclusion is “not why we’re doing” the reboot.
    “We’re doing this because there is such a hunger for Dexter out there,” he says, adding, “We’re not undoing anything. We’re not going to betray the audience and say, ‘Whoops, that was all a dream’.”
    “What happened in the first eight years happened in the first eight years,” Clyde affirms.

    AceShowbiz – Joseph Gordon-Levitt has taken his dream TV project to New Zealand because it’s one of the only places on earth he feels safe amid the coronavirus pandemic.
    The actor had just started work on the mystery show in Los Angeles when the global health crisis shut down production and he relocated his family to New Zealand so he could continue.
    “I feel really lucky to be here with my family…,” he tells “The Talk”. “We were trying to get it going again in L.A. but we couldn’t find a way that felt really safe to us, so we came here to New Zealand. This is one of the only countries in the world… They’ve handled the pandemic in an incredible way and life is, like, normal.”

    The project is believed to be a new drama about a schoolteacher, called “Mr. Corman”, which Joseph is not only writing and directing – he’ll star as the titular character.
    The project will mark Gordon-Levitt’s major return to television. The 39-year-old actor grew up starring on multiple TV series, including the long-running NBC comedy “3rd Rock From the Sun” for five years. Following a hiatus, he mostly focused on big screen roles in the past decade.
    He made his feature film directorial debut in 2013 with romantic comedy “Don Jon” where he shared screen with Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore.
    Last year, the Golden Globe-nominated actor starred in action thriller “7500” and made a cameo in “Knives Out”. His two new movies “Project Power” and “The Trial of the Chicago 7” were recently released on Netflix.

    She’ll front the programme with musical guest H.E.R.
    The Brit has performed on the show before, but this is the first time she has hosted.
    H.E.R. will be making her debut on “SNL”, which returned to the studio last month (Sep20) after coronavirus restrictions were lifted. Chris Rock hosted the Season 46 premiere, with comedian Bill Burr and Issa Rae fronting subsequent shows.

    The British actress was billed to appear on the programme on Monday (19Oct20) to promote her new Netflix drama “Rebecca”, alongside co-star Armie Hammer, but according to Page Six, both have cancelled their interview.
    James hit the headlines earlier this month (Oct20), when she was spotted with West, who plays her father in a new BBC drama, during a two-day trip to Rome, where they reportedly shared a suite at the Hotel De La Ville. They were also spotted kissing at the Leonardo da Vinci airport on their way back to the U.K.
    As soon as the photos were published in The Sun, West and his wife, Catherine FitzGerald, staged a joint press conference to insist their marriage was solid.

    They handed reporters and photographers a note which read, “Our marriage is strong and we’re very much still together.”
    Representatives for James did not immediately return our request for comment.
    Just recently, Lily James declined to address the nature of her relationship with Dominic West when she’s asked about the rumors in a press junket. “This isn’t the time for me to do that but I appreciate you asking,” she insisted.
    The “Downton Abbey” actress was previously in a relationship with Matt Smith. She called it off with the “Doctor Who” star in 2014.

    AceShowbiz – Kanye West has blasted “Saturday Night Live” writers for using black comedians and guests to hold African-Americans back after he became the butt of a skit featuring Issa Rae over the weekend.
    The “Insecure” star, who was hosting the show, appeared in a sketch as a lawyer representing civil rights group the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) on a morning talk show.
    When asked about the political candidates she favours in the upcoming U.S. state and major elections, her character said she was “voting for everybody black,” adding, “For too long, our people’s voices have not been heard. It’s our duty to stand together and take our power back.”
    In the scene, she stood up for a black Republican billionaire, an inexperienced first-time politician, and two crazy out-of-work women attempting to run on the same ticket, but when “SNL” regular Kenan Thompson, who was playing the show’s anchor, said, “When we come back, we’ll talk about the presidential race between Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and Kanye West,” Rae’s character responded, “Kanye? F him!”
    West, who is running as an independent presidential candidate, didn’t find the sketch funny and took to Twitter to respond, taking aim at SNL’s writers and regulars for attacking black cultural figures on the show.

    “Ive (sic) always said SNL uses black people to hold other black people back,” he wrote. “My heart goes out to Issa Rae. I’m praying for her and her family.”
    “I know that the twenty years of service that I’ve paid in the entertainment field has furthered our ability to be more successful.”
    He also posted a screenshot of a Google search for Rae, suggesting her career has been aided by his success.

    His tweet comes a day after Kanye released new song “Nah Nah Nah”, in which he raps about his bid to become the next President of the United States.
