  • 'Bachelorette': Clare Crawley Meets 'Husband' Dale Moss, Gets Insulted in New Explosive Trailer

    ABC

The newly-released video for the long-running ABC show opens with someone teasing in voiceover that this season featuring the 39-year-old hairstylist is going to be ‘worth the wait.’
    Oct 13, 2020
AceShowbiz – Ahead of season premiere of “The Bachelorette” featuring Clare Crawley, ABC has released a new trailer for viewing pleasure. The 2-minute-long footage sees the first moment when Clare meets contestant Dale Moss, who is rumored to be the one she’s currently dating and the reason she leaves the show way too early.
The video, which was released on Monday, October 12, opens with someone teasing in voiceover that this season is going to be “worth the wait.” It is later seen how some contestants are making huge entrance to meet her. When Dale arrives, Clare can be seen looking extremely happy.
“I definitely feel like I just met my husband,” the 39-year-old hairstylist says as he walks away from their first meeting. “Oh my god.”
Elsewhere in the trailer, one of the contestants appears to offend Clare by calling her the “oldest Bachelorette.” Livid, she’s yelling, “I don’t care what I’ve done. To sit there and say you’re the oldest Bachelorette. Guess what? I’m the oldest bachelorette. This 39 that’s standing here is single because I didn’t settle for men like that!”
Later, a scene when Clare is cuddling on bed with shirtless Dale is glimpsed. “I don’t know how you can be so sure so quick,” a suitor says. To that, someone replies, “How about the 15 of us walk out?”

Things are getting more tense as host Chris Harrison has to step in to deal with the situation. “In the 18 years I’ve been doing this show, we’ve never dealt with anything like this,” Chris tells the men, who look disappointed. “There’s also not going to be a rose ceremony tonight. I can’t even fathom how you guys are going to try and process this.”
Someone the asks, “I don’t know what that means, like, okay, do we get a new Bachelorette in here?” a contestant questions.
The next scene features Clare crying during a conversation with Chris. “The path we’re on right now, it doesn’t end well,” Chris tells her, “for you, for the guys, for anybody.”

  • Ruby Rose 'Very Grateful' for Being Able to Do Almost All of Her Stunts in 'The Doorman'

    Lionsgate Home Entertainment

Speaking about the action movie, the former ‘Batwoman’ star claims to be drawn to the project because her ex-soldier character Ali is ‘entirely different to any character’ she has played before.
    Oct 13, 2020
AceShowbiz – Ruby Rose had “fun kicking butt” as she did almost all of her own stunts in new action movie “The Doorman”.
The flick sees Ruby star as Ali, a former soldier who returns to New York City and takes a job as a doorman at a fancy high rise building during its renovation, only to find thieves are using the building work as a cover to locate something hidden somewhere in the hotel.
Speaking to website ThirdCoastReview.com, the star revealed she did “99.9 per cent” of her own stunts in the movie, insisting she had no idea how intense the Ryuhei Kitamura- directed movie was going to be.
“I didn’t know that the stunts would be as incredible as they were,” she explained. “Ryuhei specialises in that, so I did know it would be incredible, but I didn’t realise until we were training quite how much he believed in me to pull off really long sequences and really crazy stuff.”
According to Ruby, there was one stunt – a backflip – that she didn’t do herself but, after seeing her stunt double, who she described as a “short, stocky, muscular dude,” she realized she’d have to step up to the game.

“I took one look at him and said, ‘That’s not going to work, so I’ll be doing all of this’,” explained the actress. “Again, I loved that because once I realized I’d be doing all of it, I was like ‘We have to get right into this.’ ”
She continued, “I feel very grateful for that because it is fun kicking butt for that long. But what really drew me to the film was that I really like Ryuhei as a director – he was already attached – and I love action films, I love being physical.”
She went on to admit “it was the story that drew me into” the project, because Ali is an “entirely different to any character I’ve played before.”
“I don’t like playing the same character twice, and in action, sometimes there are types of characters that feel familiar, and even if it’s a good script, that’s great, but I’ve already played this character or an iteration of this character,” explained the “Batwoman” star.
“The Doorman”, also starring Jean Reno, Rupert Evans and Aksel Hennie, is out now.

  • 'Glow' Cast Hopes Fans Can Rally Enough Support Behind Movie Petition

    WENN/Avalon

Reuniting with Alison Brie and Betty Gilpin to encourage voting in the upcoming election, Marc Maron makes use of the occasion to back a call on Netflix to create a film based on the canceled show.
    Oct 13, 2020
AceShowbiz – “GLOW” star Marc Maron has urged fans of the show to sign a petition calling on Netflix to create a movie based on the recently-cancelled show.
Marc was joined by Alison Brie and Betty Gilpin among others for a YouTube livestream event on Saturday, October 10 in partnership with voting initiatives HeadCount and #GoodTovote.
And as well as encouraging viewers to vote in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, Marc also seized the opportunity to back a petition that’s doing the rounds for streaming service Netflix to create a movie to wrap up all the loose ends on the programme, which was axed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“I think there’s a petition out there and it would be a very exciting thing that Netflix could do it if they wanted to do it,” he said. “I think it would probably solve the problem. It would be fun to do, it would be easy to do, but who the f**k knows what they’re going to do. I think it’s a great idea and I hope people rally enough behind it to raise the interests of the executives over there.”

And when moderator Jessica Radloff asked the rest of the cast if they’d also be interested in a “GLOW” movie, they replied with a resounding “hell yes”.
Later, Betty revealed that the livestream had been scheduled well before Netflix had backtracked over their fourth season renewal, adding: “We scheduled this Zoom when we thought we still had a season four so it feels like we invited you to our wedding and then the groom had sex with a cross-eyed cocktail waitress and now we’re all just drunk at the venue together and we’re like ‘enjoy the quiches because it’s over. If this wedding is now a funeral, let’s make it one of those fun great ones.”

  • 'The Batman' Set Pic: Colin Farrell Looks Totally Different as Penguin While Filming Funeral Scene

    WENN

Robert Pattison is also spotted back on the set after he was cleared to return following his COVID-19 positive test result, while Zoe Kravitz dresses up as a chic mourner.
    Oct 13, 2020
AceShowbiz – Colin Farrell is completely unrecognizable under his Penguin disguise. The actor has been spotted on the set of “The Batman” and he was barely recognizable in his makeup and costume to portray the Batman villain a.k.a. Oswald Cobblepot.
Farrell was seen during the filming of a funeral scene in Liverpool, England on Monday, October 12. He donned a button-up shirt with dark tie and a Mafia-style gray leather coat. He seemed to pile on the pounds or wear a fat suit for the role, but it’s his face scars, wrinkles and receding hairline that totally changed his appearance.
He was joined by lead actor Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz during the filming that day. The Batman a.k.a. Bruce Wayne depicter bundled up in a long coat. He also wore a white shirt with a dark tie and a suit. His expression was all gloomy while ascending the stairs and a closer look at his face showed that he sported what looked like fake bruise on his cheek below one of his eyes.
Kravitz, who plays Catwoman a.k.a. Selina Kyle, stood out among the mourners in her glamorous style. She looked chic in a shiny black trench coat, matching bow headpiece, edgy fishnets and lace-up knee-high boots.

Robert Pattison is back filming ‘The Batman’ with Colin Farrell and Zoe Kravitz.
The filming on “The Batman” resumed last month after it was put on pause again because Pattinson tested positive for COVID-19 in early September, just three days after they began filming at Leavesden Studios. The filming crew had to enter a two-week quarantine before filming resumed on September 17, and the British actor was cleared to return.
Due to the production delays, Warner Bros. announced earlier this month that the release date for the movie has been pushed back five months from October 1, 2021 to March 4, 2022. Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” remake is now taking over the old date of “The Batman”.
“The Batman” is directed by Matt Reeves and also starring Paul Dano as Batman’s villain The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright who is said to play James Gordon, and Peter Sarsgaard who is cast in a mystery role. The movie will focus on a younger Bruce Wayne than he was in previous movies.

  • 'The Crown' Will 'Sow Seeds' for Prince Andrew's Scandal in Upcoming Season

    WENN

Prince Andrew will ‘go a bit naughty’ in the upcoming fourth season of the Netflix hit royal drama series, sowing seeds for what would happen in light of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
    Oct 13, 2020
AceShowbiz – The upcoming fourth season of “The Crown” will pave the way for Prince Andrew to “go a bit naughty.”
Creator Peter Morgan tells Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper that writing scenes involving the son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip was “tricky” in light of the recent scandal surrounding the royal.
Andrew is currently wanted for questioning by FBI officials over his friendship with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and Morgan reflects, “Andrew, although it is hard to believe given recent events, was the most popular prince and the absolute pin-up of the Royal Family.”
“It was tricky to write because you couldn’t know everything that would happen to Andrew, but you still had to sow seeds so that you knew that one day it could all go a bit naughty.”

      See also…

The prince is played by Tom Byrne, 23, while Angus Imrie, 26, portrays his brother Prince Edward in the programme – but Morgan reveals it wasn’t always his plan for the siblings to feature heavily in the show.
“We cast actors to play Andrew and Edward although we hadn’t planned to,” he says, adding that his research into Edward’s childhood compelled him to feature the pair.
“I’d never imagined Edward in the show, so I asked my research team to find out what he was doing at that time. It was heartbreaking because at the time he was being badly bullied at school,” he explained.
Season four of the hit streaming drama documenting the reign of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II is due to debut in November. Returning are Olivia Colman, as Queen Elizabeth, and Tobias Menzies, as her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
The show will follow the royals as the 1970s ends and Britain is divided by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s policies – with Prince Charles’ romance with Lady Diana Spencer providing a welcome distraction for both the public, and the Queen, as she looks to her heir to secure the line of succession to the throne.
