    AceShowbiz – Pop star HRVY is still planning to compete on U.K. TV show “Strictly Come Dancing” despite testing positive for Covid-19.
    The YouTube star and singer, who was nominated for a Teen Choice Award last year (19), tweeted out news of his diagnosis on Thursday (01October20) night.
    “Hi, wasn’t gonna worry anyone and say anything but now the story’s out,” he wrote. “I have coronavirus, I’m all good, no symptoms, just isolating for the next 10 days. already super bored so prepare yourselves for my Tik toks.”

    On Friday, the social media star, real name Harvey Leigh Cantwell, added, “Morning guys, just a little thought. im only 21 and in good health so it just shows that being young doesn’t make you invincible, so make sure you wear a mask please, have a good day.”
    A BBC spokesman confirmed HRVY has tested positive but said the 21-year-old is still expected to take part in the next series of the show – the U.K. version of “Dancing With the Stars” – which will launch on 17 October, with the competition beginning the following week.
    “Pending a negative test, HRVY won’t miss the launch recording or any dance training,” the spokesperson added. “We wish him all the best. We have rigorous protocols in place to manage Covid-19 as the safety of all those involved in the production is paramount.”
    The new season of “Strictly Come Dancing” also features Jacqui Smith, Maisie Smith, Jamie Laing, JJ Chalmers, Bill Bailey, Clara Amfo, Ranvir Singh, Nicola Adams, Caroline Quentin, Jason Bell, and Max George.

    AceShowbiz – Bette Midler is more than excited for “Hocus Pocus 2”. Following a report that Disney+ is working on a sequel, the Winifred Sanderson of 1993’s Disney Halloween classic reveals in a new interview that she can’t wait to get back on her broom and fly again.
    She said that she’s “absolutely” up to reprise her role, adding, “I can’t wait to fly!” As for how far the new project has went, the 74-year-old told Entertainment Tonight’s Nischelle Turner, “Oh, yeah. We’re just talking logistics.”
    While details are still scarce, it was said that Adam Shankman (“Hairspray”) will take over the directing duties from Kenny Ortega, who helmed the 1993 Halloween classic. While the new take on the flick will allegedly revolve around some newer characters, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are expected to reprise their roles, Sarah Sanderson and Mary Sanderson respectively, alongside Bette.

    Sarah previously also hinted that she’s totally on board for the new series. In a May interview on Andy Cohen’s Sirius XM radio show, she was asked, “Do you think there would be a sequel to ‘Hocus Pocus’? Because it seems to be on peoples’ radar.” To that, she answered, “I think that it’s something that, um, Bette and Kathy and I are all all very hospitable to the idea.”
    “I think for a long time people were talking about it as…if it had been, people were moving forward with it in a real way, but we were unaware of it,” she went on saying. “But I think now we’ve gotten to the point where we’ve all, we’ve agreed publicly to the right people, ‘Yes, that would be a very very fun idea.’ So we’ll see. We’ll see what the future holds.”
    The three, meanwhile, are set to virtually reunite for “In Search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover.”

    AceShowbiz – Scott Disick experienced a health scare in a new episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”. In the outing, which aired on Thursday, October 1, the ex-boyfriend of Kourtney Kardashian was concerned about his health as he was feeling “exhausted” all the time.
    “I don’t feel sick, I just feel tired,” so he explained to Kim Kardashian. “I just want to feel healthy. I don’t feel like this is what a normal 36-year-old feels like.”
    “Lately, I’ve just had no energy to do anything. I wake up and I’m just shot,” he said. “I don’t have the drive to get up and run around with my girlfriend and my kids. I just don’t have the energy. I don’t know if I’m getting old or I’m just not in great shape, but I just want to see if there’s anything wrong with me.”

    “I’m definitely a drop nervous to do all these blood panels, because I’ve put this vessel through a lot of trauma, I’m not going to lie,” Scott, who had an alcohol abuse history, admitted. “I’m definitely scared, but if there’s anything wrong with me, whatever is the best way to get my body functioning better is what I’m going to do.”
    “I feel like there’s definitely been some stress in my life,” he continued. “Missing my parents, it’s really hard. My life hasn’t always been easy – I used to drink and party and go out a ton, so my body, it’s been through some rough waters and taken some pretty bad beatings. I never thought that there was a possibility any of that stuff could affect me in the long run.”
    He fortunately tested negative for Coronavirus but he still felt the need to find out what’s wrong with his body. “Kim’s right — I have to figure out what’s happening to my body,” the father of three admitted. “I’m definitely scared, but whatever’s wrong with me…[however] I can get my body functioning better is what I’m going to do.”
    Scott revealed that his testosterone levels were “clinically low” which explained why he felt tired easily. “I’m very thankful that there was nothing serious,” he said, sharing that he planned on working on his condition by using certain foods into his diet and taking certain supplements. “It could be from a number of reasons, so my doctor suggested I meet with a nutritionist, who did a more detailed blood test to find out why my testosterone is so low and to see exactly what’s working and what’s not working on my body.”

    The actress played a pregnant teenager seeking help at the clinic where Jennie Garth’s character, Kelly Taylor, was working on the series, and admits she had strict instructions to watch out where she glanced.
    Producers told her she would be thrown off the set if she was spotted looking at Garth or her co-stars Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen.
    “It was really strange when you’re, like, trying to do a scene with them,” Jessica said during a recent appearance on webseries “Hot Ones”. “It was like, ‘You’re not allowed to make eye contact with any one of the cast members or you’ll be thrown off the set.’ ”

    Alba explained the incident was the first of many that made her feel “demeaned” in Hollywood – and prompted her to take a break from acting and set up her The Honest Company lifestyle brand.
    “The way women were treated in many circumstances, I was just over it,” she added. “I’d do a lot of press, the guys did nothing compared to what I was doing. I was like, ‘I’m done doing it this way.’ ”
    Alba isn’t the only one who shared a not-so pleasant experience on the show. Back in 2019, AnnaLynne McCord said that she was shaded by the cast. “That’s so funny. They were being a little shady toward me! And then I was a little shady back!” she revealed at the WildAid Gala: A Night in Africa.

    AceShowbiz – Tom Holland’s “Spider-Man” movie series continues to hint at its shared universe with previous “Spider-Man” films. The next installment, which will be a follow-up to “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, will reportedly feature Jamie Foxx’s Electro.
    According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-winning actor is now in “final talks” to reprise the role from 2014’s “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”, which starred Andrew Garfield in the title role. The upcoming movie will still have Holland back as the web-crawler.
    Marvel, which has teamed up with Sony for the previous two “Spider-Man” movies, has not confirmed the news of Foxx’s casting. Jon Watts, who directed “Far From Home”, is board to return behind the lens for the next installment.
    Most of the supporting cast members, including Zendaya Coleman, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon and Tony Revolori, are also expected to reprise their roles when the camera starts to roll in Atlanta this fall. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal are producing.

    The third movie has been scheduled for a December 17, 2021 release, but fans can expect a delay amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
    Should the news be true, it wouldn’t be the first time Holland’s “Spider-Man” movie series features a familiar face from the previous films. Previously, “Far From Home” brought back J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson, the character he played in Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man” trilogy starring Tobey Maguire.
    The future of Holland’s Spider-Man was previously on the verge of being thrown into jeopardy after Sony parted ways with Marvel in August 2019. With no new deal being struck, Spider-Man would cease to appear in MCU blockbusters.
    However, a month later the two studios managed to come to an agreement that will allow Spidey’s journey in the MCU to continue. As part of the new deal between the Hollywood powerhouses, Holland will return for another standalone Spider-Man movie and make an appearance in a non-standalone Marvel film.

    AceShowbiz – Sacha Baron Cohen returns with more satirical and adult jokes in the first official trailer for “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm”. The actor reprises his role as Kazakhstani television personality Borat Sagdiyev, who in the film is going to America for a new “mission.”
    This time, Borat’s daughter, Sandra Jessica Parker Sagdiyev played by Irina Nowak, tags along her father in the trip as the fictional news reporter declares that he’s going to give her daughter as a present to “someone close to the throne.” Before he manages to pull it off, though, he learns the shocking news that his daughter is pregnant, possibly with his baby.
    Borat then proceeds to carry out his mission by choosing a dress for his daughter and picks a disguise for him. It’s then revealed that Cohen was the person who disguised as a Donald Trump impersonator and interrupted Mike Pence’s speech during Conservative Political Action Conference in February. With his daughter slung over his shoulder, he shouts in the crowd, “Michael Penis, I brought the girl for you!”
    Cohen also touches on the COVID-19 crisis in the upcoming movie as his character physically fights the virus with a frying pan. Toward the end of the trailer, footage of Borat’s interview with Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller is featured.
    Miller has confirmed that he unwittingly filmed cameo for the “Borat” sequel last year. “Yep, its official, I got ‘Boratted’!” he said in a statement released on Thursday, October 1. “You’ll see I’m in the end of the trailer released today for Sasha Baron Cohen’s new Borat 2 movie.”

    He continued, “Glad I’m in good company with Vice-President Pence, former Vice President Dick Cheney, former Mayor Rudy Guiliani, Senator Bernie Sanders, Trent Lott, Alan Keyes and other national political leaders – all of whom have been tricked into a fake interview by this guy in one of his disguises over the years. The interview took place last fall and it was one of the strangest I’ve ever had.”

The former mayor and personal attorney to President Trump said he agreed to the interview thinking it was a serious interview about the administration’s response to COVID-19.
    “It was a pink bikini, with lace, underneath a translucent mesh top, it looked absurd. He had the beard, bare legs, and wasn’t what I would call distractingly attractive,” he recalled, though he didn’t immediately recognize the gate-crasher as Cohen. “This person comes in yelling and screaming, and I thought this must be a scam or a shake-down, so I reported it to the police. He then ran away.”
    “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm” will premiere October 23 on Amazon.

    AceShowbiz – Oscar-winning filmmakers Martin Scorsese, Clint Eastwood, and James Cameron have signed a letter calling for U.S. politicians to bail out cinemas hit by the Covid-19 crisis.
    The letter was signed by more than 70 directors and producers along with bosses at the National Association of Theater Owners, the Directors Guild of America and the Motion Picture Association.
    It reads, “The moviegoing experience is central to American life. 268 million people in North America went to the movies last year to laugh, cry, dream, and be moved together.”

    The pandemic forced cinemas to close in mid-March (20), with major chains reopening with reduced capacity – but movie theatres remain closed in the major markets of Los Angeles and New York City.
    Their missive, reproduced on Deadline.com, claims that 69 per cent of small and mid-sized cinema firms will be forced to file for bankruptcy or close permanently without government help. It asks Congress to redirect unspent funds from a coronavirus aid bill passed earlier this year or to vote for a new package that would direct new funds to help cinemas survive the pandemic.

    Season 46 of the long-running NBC comedy sketch is set to premiere on Saturday, October 3 featuring Chris Rock as the host, marking his third time taking over the hosting duties on the show. Megan Thee Stallion, meanwhile, will be serving as musical guest.
    The season premiere will be the show’s first time back in Rockefeller Center’s legendary Studio 8H since March. The new season will feature new three cast members including Lauren Holt, Punkie Johnson and Andrew Dismukes with Ego Nwodim being promoted to main cast member. Alec Baldwin and Beck Bennett will also reprise Donald Trump and Mike Pence respectively.
    “There was some interest on his part. And then we responded, obviously, positively,” “SNL” creator and EP Lorne Michaels said of casting Jim for the role. “But it came down to discussions about what the take was. He and Colin Jost had a bunch of talks. He and I as well. He will give the part energy and strength… Hopefully it’s funny.”
    “I honestly don’t think of them as celebrity cameos. I think that’s the sort of New York Times approach to thinking about things,” Michaels said of the guest actors. “Alec Baldwin’s probably done the show 25 or 30 times. He’s just part of an extended group… It’s the same way with Maya — you saw what she brought to it. So, I don’t think of it that way.”
