    AceShowbiz – Emmy Awards host Jimmy Kimmel can’t wait to watch Sunday night’s (September 20) winners accept their awards in their own homes, surrounded by excited family and friends.
    The comedian doesn’t have high hopes for the virtual broadcast as a whole, but he insists there’s one element of the show he is looking forward to.
    “People are gonna win an Emmy in their house with their, hopefully, family and maybe their parents and maybe a couple of people that they trust, and I hope it will be exciting to see that excitement…,” he tells “Good Morning America”.
    “It’s one thing when your co-producer is standing next to you, clapping, or one of your co-stars, and it’s another thing when it’s your nine-year-old daughter.”
    Kimmel reveals there will be a few “special guests” with him at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the live broadcast, but the venue will be empty, due to California’s strict COVID-19 health and safety guidelines.

    “There will be no friends, no family…,” he adds. “I would guess there won’t be more than 30 people in the whole Staples Center. We’re doing this as safely as we possibly can, because as we know there’s no one more important than celebrities.”

    Reports suggest his guests will include Mindy Kaling and Ken Jeong.
    Meanwhile, Kimmel is also urging 2020 Emmy winners not to get carried away and extend their acceptance speeches.
    “Some people are gonna go on and on and on and I don’t know what we’ll do if they go on too long,” he says. “I suppose I could just say, ‘Oh, we lost ’em!’ and hit a button and that’s the end of it. Maybe that is what we’ll do.”

    AceShowbiz – Dua Lipa reworked her “New Rules” song for a humourous duet with James Corden to give fans dating advice amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
    The 25-year-old singer appeared on “The Late Late Show with James Corden”, joining the host for a revamped version of her song.
    Initially singing along to the tune of Dua’s hit song “Don’t Start Now”, the pair prepare listeners for finally meeting a partner in person, after starting their romance online.
    Wearing a face mask that matched her sequined dress, Dua and James, sing, “Wear a mask/ Wash your hands/ It’s not like you have other plans/ It’s awkward/ But it’s cool/ Following all these golden rules.”
    The tempo then switched to a remix of Dua’s 2017 track “New Rules”, as the pair laid out some ground rules on how to re-enter the dating world.

    “There’s a new third base/ It’s when you get to see their lower face/ And if you hit it off/ Watch out if they start to cough,” the humorous take began.
    And continuing the theme of safety, they crooned, “We’ve got new rules for dating/ Safety is stimulating/ It’s your neighbors you’re saving.”

    Dua recently moved from the U.K. to Los Angeles to with her beau, model Anwar Hadid, so they wouldn’t be apart during the pandemic.
    The “One Kiss” hitmaker has relocated stateside to live with her partner due to fears that she won’t be able to travel to and fro because of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
    The pair have been dating since June last year (19), with their relationship only strengthened during the COVID-19 lockdown, which they spent together at her London flat.

    In an online petition launched on Change.org, a fan of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ claims Teddi ‘has become a dangerous human being’ who caused Denise’s exit from the show.

    AceShowbiz – Denise Richards recently announced her departure from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, but fans apparently want Teddi Mellencamp to leave the show instead. Blaming the 39-year-old reality TV star for Denise’s exit, the fans have launched an online petition in a bid to have Teddi fired from the Bravo series.
    The person who launched the petition on Change.org is clearly not a fan of Teddi, writing on the website, “Teddi Boring Mellencamp has become a dangerous human being ! Her self entitlement and wardrobe and style is horrible !” The critic went on blasting the founder of weight loss company All In by Teddi, “Teddi possesses the trait of trying to be a mean girl and , Sadly be the lopsided doll minded version Of Kyle Richards that Kyle keeps in her backpocket can’t even do that right !”
    “On season 10 of RHOBH , Teddi stuck her nose , not her Original one in Denise Richards business causing a huge blowup and for one of the fan favorites to leave the show !” the petitioner claimed. “Teddi will forever be know only because of her father , oh and don’t get me started on the bullying of bigger women she does ! Let’s get Teddi Mellencamp Off Of RHOBH!”
    The petition has been signed by more than 1,300 people out of its goal of 1,500. One person who signed the petition commented, “Not only is she the most boring hw ever she is a fraud and a danger to women.”

    Another took issue with Teddi’s controversial diet program. “I’m recovering from an eating disorder that is not different than Teddi’s meal plan. I suffered for most of my life this way and don’t want anyone else to hurt the way I have,” so she wrote.
    Her role on “RHOBH” aside, Teddi has faced backlash from former clients of her weight loss and accountability program All In by Teddi. They complained about being scolded by Teddi and her camp and being restricted to 500-1,000 calories a day.
    Defending her weight loss program, Teddi responded to the criticism on Tuesday, September 15. “For one, I wanted to say I love All In. I am so incredibly proud of the over 15,000 lives we have helped change,” she said in a video.
    “I 100 percent feel confident in the fact that we let you know before signing up exactly what the program entails,” she claimed. “If it’s something that you want to do and you want us to hold you accountable to your goals, we are there to do that for you. If it’s not something you want to sign up for, you don’t. That’s why I love that we are very transparent from the beginning. We believe in you. We will fight for you, and we know that the best is yet to come.”

    AceShowbiz – Apparently, Kristen Doute and Stassi Schroeder aren’t fired from “Vanderpump Rules” following controversy surrounding them over past racially insensitive remarks toward former co-star Faith Stowers. Kristen set the record straight in an Instagram comment to a fan on Thursday, September 17.
    Of reports that she and Stassi called police on Faith as they accused her of being a thief, Kristen said, “The police were not called.” She went on to say, “There was never a police report, the police never had her name so she was never in harm’s way.”
    “I understand me speaking up about this is going to create major backlash but I’m tired of the rumors. Neither [me or Stassi] are racist and have absolutely no hate,” she went on to say.
    Recalling the moment, Kristen shared that she and Stassi made the call while they were filming the reality show, though it “didn’t air.” She explained, “I called a tip hotline. At the time, I was told by multiple people that it was [Faith] and that she had a history. That I’ve admitted and have publicly and privately apologized. I should have stayed out of it … I’m very grateful for those who want us to listen, learn and grow.”
    She also claimed that neither she or Stassi was fired from the Bravo reality show. “We weren’t fired,” she insisted. “They chose not to renew our contracts. That was their decision to make.”
    This arrived after Stassi reflected on the controversy during her appearance in an episode of “The Tamron Hall Show” earlier in the day. She revealed that she has since educated herself by hiring a diversity coach. “I am so embarrassed that I even had those thoughts much less put it out there. I was that Karen, I was a Karen,” she shared.
    “It is absolutely my fault that I didn’t know better, but the issue is I did not know better,” she continued. Saying that she wanted to be a “better person” for her unborn daughter, Stassi added, “I want to be a part of the solution, I’ve been a part of the problem for years now. And I’ve recognized that. That’s why I say I don’t feel like I’m a victim of cancel culture. People want me to be mad at it and I’m not, I needed it.”

    AceShowbiz – Actress Robin Givens has delivered a knock-out blow to the producers of Jamie Foxx’s new Mike Tyson biopic, demanding she isn’t portrayed in a negative light.
    Lawyers representing Givens sent Tyson and Foxx a cease-and-desist letter last month, according to Page Six, insisting the boxer, who is preparing for a comeback fight, “cease and desist from further defaming Ms. Givens.”
    They also put the producers of the film and Tyson’s podcast on notice, insisting they “refrain from portraying Ms. Givens in a false, negative and defamatory light.”
    Givens was married to Tyson in 1988 for eight months and the couple split acrimoniously.
    Her lawyers felt they had to warn Foxx and his producers about portraying Givens in a poor light, adding, “She still finds herself fighting the abusive, demeaning and false accounts of their relationship by Mr. Tyson nearly 35 years later. It is time for Mr. Tyson to let this marriage be the relic of the past that it is.”
    They claim Tyson’s comments about his ex gave them “good cause to be concerned,” but a representative for the boxing champ tells the outlet that his marriage to Givens and their divorce won’t be part of the film.
    “As of now, Mr. Tyson’s attorneys have not received any cease and desist (letter), but there isn’t nor has there been any intention of including his relationship with her in his biopic. He wishes her well in all her endeavours,” the rep said.

    AceShowbiz – McKenna Grace has joined the cast of “The Handmaid’s Tale” fourth season in a role that is set to court controversy, as the child bride of a much older Commander.
    Grace, who is best known for her roles in movies like “Captain Marvel”, “I, Tonya”, “Annabelle Comes Home”, “Troop Zero”, and “Gifted”, joins star and executive producer Elisabeth Moss on the Hulu drama series which resumed production in Toronto two weeks ago, Deadline reported.
    The 14-year-old actress will play the recurring role of “Mrs. Keyes, a sharply intelligent, teenaged wife of a much older Commander who rules her farm and household with confidence. She has a rebellious, subversive streak, and is calm and pious on the outside with turmoil, even insanity, on the inside,” Deadline reports.
    “The Handmaid Tale” was a couple of weeks into filming its fourth season when the coronavirus outbreak shut down production in mid-March. Moss announced the hiatus on Instagram.
    “Hey guys we shut down production of season 4 in order to preserve the health and safety of our cast and crew and join the world in an attempt to flatten the curve,” she wrote in her post. “This show is my life and this cast and crew is my family. Nothing is more important than making sure they and everyone around them is safe. We hope to be back in production as soon as it’s safe to do so.”
    The “Mad Men” star will be making her directorial debut with the third episode of the season.

    AceShowbiz – Marvel’s new series “She-Hulk” has reportedly found its titular character in Tatiana Maslany. The “Orphan Black” actress has been tapped to play Jennifer Walters a.k.a. She-Hulk, an attorney and cousin of Bruce Banner (The Hulk), in the forthcoming TV series. Deadline was the first to report the casting.
    Jennifer gains her own unique Hulk powers after getting a blood transfusion from Bruce. However, unlike Bruce, Jennifer is able to maintain her personality when she hulked out, though Bruce eventually able to do so in “Avengers: Endgame”.
    Both Tatiana and Marvel have yet comment on the reports. However, Mark Ruffalo, who plays in The Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, reacted to the news. She gave Tatiana a warm shout-out in a Twitter post which read, “Welcome to the family, cuz! @tatianamaslany #SheHulk.” He also attached a link to the casting report.
    Fans were equally happy with the casting choice. “She’s a good choice! She’s beautiful and I’m sure a good actress too,she’ll leave all of us stand gaping! To tell you the truth we need movies more than ever! We’ve been thinking about COVID 19 too much! We need a breath of fresh air! Now it’s difficult but we need them!” one fan wrote. Another excited fan added, “Banner welcoming his cousin! Nice! I’m afraid I don’t know her but I’ve read lots of people commenting about Orphan Black. So, another TV show to the long list. Welcome, Tatiana.”
    “She-Hulk” will have “Rick and Morty” writer Jessica Gao to lead the writers room. Meanwhile, “Marry Me” director Kat Coiro is set to serve behind the lens for the pilot and multiple other episodes.
    The series joins other seven TV shows that Marvel Studios is currently developing for Disney+. “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” was initially scheduled to debut in August, but its date is delayed indefinitely after production was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was said that the production for the series started up again this week.
    Meanwhile, “WandaVision” is still eyeing a December 2020 debut. As for “Loki”, the animated “What If…” and “Hawkeye”, they are expected to premiere in 2021 alongside “Ms. Marvel” and “Moon Knight”.

    AceShowbiz – Steve Harvey has defended Ellen DeGeneres insisting she doesn’t have any “racist tendency” after staff who work on her show complained about instances of racial microaggressions.
    The popular chat show host has been at the centre of a scandal after BuzzFeed News published a report in July (20) which detailed staffers negative experiences on the “Ellen” set, including claims of being penalised for taking medical leave, instances of racial microaggressions and fear of retribution for raising complaints.
    However, many of her famous pals including Kevin Hart and Katy Perry have come to her defence, and Harvey joined them as he told People TV on Thursday (17Sep20), DeGeneres is “one of the coolest and kindest people I’ve met in this business” and insisted she “has no control over what every staff member does.”
    “I’m a 63-year-old black man. I’ve been black the entire time,” he told People. “I ain’t took no days off. I ain’t experimented with nothing else. I ain’t got nothing else going. I’ve been a black dude my whole life. I know racism.”
    “If I have a conversation with you, I know if you got racist tendency somewhere in you, because it radiates. I can feel it. I’ve been around a long time, man. That’s not Ellen DeGeneres. That’s just not her, period.”
    Harvey later added, “You make it like that if you want to. But if you try to make it that way, it’s because you don’t know her. I know her. And that’s the feeling I have.”
    “The Steve Harvey Show” host confirmed he’s been in touch with DeGeneres, with the star encouraging her to keep her “head up.”
    “We’ve texted each other. But my first advice was Ellen got enough money to walk away. But, we’re in the cancel culture right now, man, everybody want to see everybody fall down, man,” he said. “People used to cheer for people. Now, it’s so important to ruin everybody’s career… But I think Ellen’s going to be absolutely fine myself.”
    Following an internal investigation into “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” conducted WarnerMedia, DeGeneres has since apologised to her staff, and three of the show’s top producers have parted ways with the show.
