    'AGT' Recap: BTS Performs 'Dynamite' as 5 Acts Are Sent to Finals

    AceShowbiz – “America’s Got Talent” returned on Wednesday, September 16 to reveal the results of the previous episode. In the new episode, host Terry Crews announced which five of eleven acts who performed in the Tuesday episode who would advance to the finals.
    Kicking off the night, Terry announced the ones that placed in 4th, 5th and 6th after the voting session ended. The three acts who were up for the Dunkin Save were Kenadi Dodds, BAD Salsa and Max Major. One of them would be sent to the finals before judges, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara, picked one of the other two.
    Singers Celina and Cristina Rae were later called for them to hear their results. Only one of them moved to the finals and it was Cristina! Before Terry revealed more results, viewers were treated to a performance by mentalist Colin Cloud, who had the three judges secretly write a word on their board. Colin guessed the words correctly and further made it more jaw-dropping as he enlisted fellow “AGT” alums, including Shin Lim, Darci Lynne Farmer and Kodi Lee, in his tricks.

    It was time for Voices of Our City Choir, Daneliya Tuleshova and W.A.F.F.L.E. Crew to find out their fate. The one who joined Cristina in the finals was Daneliya. Voices of Our City and W.A.F.F.L.E. Crew, who both earned Golden Buzzer previously, were eliminated.
    That left Jonathan Goodwin, Bello Sisters and Brett Loudermilk, and Terry named Bello Sisters as the one advanced to the finals. Prior to more announcement, K-Pop supergroup BTS (Bangtan Boys) amazed everyone with a performance of their song latest song “Dynamite” from the studio lot.

    Kenadi Dodds, BAD Salsa and Max Major were then ready to hear the results of the Dunkin’ Save. Kenadi was unsurprisingly named as the fourth act to go to the finals. Judges later picked one between BAD Salsa and Max Major to be sent to the finals along with others. Sofia and Heidi chose BAD Salsa.
    With that, Roberta Battaglia, Archie Williams, singing duo Broken Roots, spoken word artist Brandon Leake, aerialist Alan Silva, singer Cristina Rae, singer Daneliya Tuleshova, Italian-German acrobatic trio Bello Sisters, singer Kenadi Dodds and Indian salsa dancing duo BAD Salsa are set to perform in the season 15 finals of “America’s Got Talent” which will air on Tuesday, September 22 on NBC.

    AceShowbiz – “Tiger King” star Carole Baskin has slammed her missing husband’s daughters for buying an advert during her appearance on “Dancing with the Stars”.
    Don Lewis’ three kids and their attorney, John Phillips, purchased 50 seconds of air time for a commercial during the U.S. competition show on Monday (14Sep20), which they used to offer a $100,000 (£77,000) reward is being offered for any leads into his 1997 disappearance.
    Baskin, 59, who had him legally declared dead in 2002, has now slammed the advert as a “publicity stunt.”
    “I have not seen the ad. I am not at all surprised,” the animal sanctuary owner told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s just been a huge publicity stunt on their part so what more could they possibly do than that?”
    The story of Lewis’ disappearance, shortly before he was due to head to Costa Rica, was prominently featured in Netflix’s “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness” docuseries – with rival zookeeper Joe Exotic alleging in the docuseries that Baskin killed Lewis, a claim she has denied.
    The series culminated in Exotic being jailed for 22 years after being convicted of plotting to murder Baskin and numerous animal welfare-related charges.
    Baskin’s debut appearance on “Dancing With the Stars” was disastrous, as she racked up the lowest score – with the judges only awarding her 11 points out of 30 for her paso doble to “Rocky III” theme song “Eye of the Tiger”.

    AceShowbiz – “Schitt’s Creek” cleaned up at the 17th annual Gold Derby TV Awards, sweeping the comedy categories and picking up six of the nine honours the show was nominated for.
    The hit programme picked up the Best Comedy Series and Best Comedy Episode gongs, as well as the four main comedy acting trophies for stars Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Dan Levy, and Annie Murphy.
    However, “Schitt’s Creek” missed out on the Ensemble of the Year Award – to the cast of “Succession”, which picked up four honours, including Best Drama Series.
    There were also multiple wins for “Watchmen”, “Saturday Night Live”, “Ozark”, “RuPaul’s Drag Race”, and “Normal People” ‘s Paul Mescal, who was named Breakthrough Performer of the Year and Limited Series/Movie Actor, while Reese Witherspoon landed the coveted Performer of the Year honour for her shows “Little Fires Everywhere”, “Big Little Lies”, and “The Morning Show”.
    All 30 categories were decided by online awards show site Gold Derby’s more than 2,000 registered users.

    AceShowbiz – Jimmy Kimmel is more than excited to reprise his hosting duty at the upcoming 2020 Emmy Awards which will be held virtually next week. In a new interview, the 52-year-old late night talk show host how he’s preparing for the show and reveals whether his frenemy Matt Damon will be present at the event.
    Of hosting a virtual event, Jimmy admits to PEOPLE that “it’s harder and a completely different ball game” because “there’s no audience.” He explained, “As a comedian, getting no laughs – which is certainly something I’ve become accustomed to, even in front of audiences – is tough. That’s the measure of whether something was funny. So the challenge is how to make it feel like not all the jokes are bombing.”
    When asked if his pal Matt will crash the stage again, Jimmy, who hosted Emmys twice before, responded, “I don’t have any friends named Matt.” He went on to say, “I have an enemy named Matt, if that’s what you’re asking, and he’s not invited to be a part of anything I’m involved with. This year we have extra security.”
    The “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host then talked about the dress-code for the much-anticipated award-giving event. “I will be appearing nude on this broadcast,” he jokingly revealed. “That’s a surprise that we weren’t planning to reveal. Yes, I will not be wearing any clothes at all, nor will any of the presenters or nominees. Even the camera guys are going to be naked. It’s going to be great.”
    During the interview, Jimmy also confirmed that there will be no after-party this year due to social distancing order amid COVID-19 pandemic. “There will be no afterparty. What’s going to happen at the end is we’re all going to look at each other and nod and go home. That’s it,” he said.
    The 72nd Emmy Awards will air live on Sunday, September 20 from 8-11 P.M. ET on ABC.

    It’s a follow up to the 2018 hit comedy about a couple of kids who team up with Santa to save Christmas.
    Darby Camp, Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Judah Lewis will reprise their roles in the film.

    AceShowbiz – The second night of this year’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards was a big one for the funnymen and women, with “Saturday Night Live” and comedians Jimmy Kimmel and John Oliver taking home multiple honours.
    Kimmel’s “Live In Front Of A Studio Audience All In The Family and Good Times” specials, Oliver’s “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” and SNL dominated the variety genre on Tuesday night (September 15).
    “Saturday Night Live” picked up its fourth consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series and the sketch show’s Don Roy King won his fourth consecutive Emmy for Directing for a Variety Series, while Live in Front of a Studio Audience claimed trophies for Outstanding Variety Special (Live) and Technical Direction, and Oliver’s politically-charged Sunday night show landed three awards, including Outstanding Writing.
    “RuPaul’s Drag Race” was a double winner for Hairstyling and Makeup. The colourful show also picked up two honours on Monday night, making it the awards haul leader so far, with four.

    AceShowbiz – Madonna has teamed up with Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody to pen the story of her life for a big screen biopic.
    Madonna will direct and produce the film, and also lead the search for a young unknown who will portray her.
    The movie, which Madonna has teased may be called “Live to Tell”, will chronicle the pop superstar’s rise from unknown New York dancer to chart-topper.
    “I want to convey the incredible journey that life has taken me on as an artist, a musician, a dancer – a human being, trying to make her way in this world,” Madonna said in a statement. “The focus of this film will always be music. Music has kept me going and art has kept me alive.”
    “There are so many untold and inspiring stories and who better to tell it than me. It’s essential to share the roller coaster ride of my life with my voice and vision.”
    Madonna’s production partner on the project, Amy Pascal, adds, “This movie is an absolute labour of love for me. I have known Madonna since we made A League of Their Own together, and I can’t imagine anything more thrilling than collaborating with her and Diablo on bringing her true-life story to the big screen with Donna and our partners at Universal.”

    AceShowbiz – Ahead of its October premiere, DisneyPlus’ “The Mandalorian” has released the first trailer of the much-anticipated season 2 for viewing pleasure. Shared on the show’s official Twitter account, the new video hints at what could be expected in the upcoming season and features appearances from baby Yoda.
    The trailer opens with the Armorer, who tells the titular character, “Show me the one who’s safety deemed such destruction.” She then adds, “You must reunite it with its own kind.”
    “The songs of aeons past tell of battles of Mandalore the Great and an order of sorcerers called Jedi,” she continues saying in voiceover as baby Yoda is glimpsed briefly. Mandalorian then asks, “You expect me to search the galaxy and deliver this creature to a race of enemy sorcerers?” to which she responds, “This is the way.”
    Elsewhere in the trailer, the Mandalorian is seen going to some dark place and dangerous port which has ocean-going ships docked, instead of craft set for space. Gore Keresh later is heard telling the Mandalorian, “You know this is no place for a child,” referring to baby Yoda. However, the Mandalorian insists, “Wherever I go, he goes.”
    Season 2 of “The Mandalorian” is set to follow the “Star Wars” spin-off’s titular character (Pedro Pascal) as he continues to protect The Child. He also attempts to discover its origins whilst dealing with new villain Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), an ex-Imperial officer who wants to capture baby Yoda for his own sinister reasons.
    Joining Pascal, Carl Weathers will return to play bounty hunter boss Greef Karga. Meanwhile, Gina Carano will reprise her character Cara Dune in the new season.
    Pascal, who previously starred on “Game of Thrones” as Oberyn Martell a.k.a. the Red Viper, recently revealed that the forthcoming season would have “some pretty mind-blowing things” for fans. “I think expectations will be exceeded. [Fans’] love of ‘Star Wars’ will be injected with steroids,” he teased.
