  • 'Riverdale' Star Marisol Nichols Develops TV Series Based on Her Sex Trafficking Agent Story

    Instagram

The Hermione Lodge depicter previously opened up in May’s Marie Claire about her being an undercover agent for the FBI and Operation Underground Railroad and local law enforcement.
    Sep 1, 2020
AceShowbiz – “Riverdale” star Marisol Nichols is developing a new TV show based on her real-life fight against sex trafficking. According to Deadline, the actress, who is known for her role as Hermione Lodge on The CW’s series, will likely star on the project.
She will also serve as executive producer of the show, which is currently in the early stages. She partners with Sony Pictures Television which optioned rights to her story.
Marisol previously opened up in a long-form story in May’s Marie Claire about her being an undercover agent for the FBI and Operation Underground Railroad and local law enforcement as the “bait” for sting operations domestically and internationally. Utilizing her acting skill, she has been hunting child predators.
In some cases, the “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” star pretended to be a parent pimping out a child. In other situations, Marisol played the role of a child being pimped out to a guy who expects to have sex with a 12-year-old.
In the Marie Claire profile, it was mentioned that Marisol’s incredible contribution to end sex trafficking stemmed from being sexually assaulted when she was 11 years old. She started doing the unusual hustle in 2012 when acting work slowed down. She also launched her own nonprofit foundation in 2014 called Foundation for a Slavery Free World.
Back in June, Marisol shared that her character Hermione would return to season 5 of “Riverdale” despite previously announcing that she was leaving the show at the end of season four. “I had a very long talk with Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, our creator and showrunner of ‘Riverdale’, and I’m really proud to announce that Hermoine will not only be back for season five, but she will be back stronger and better than ever!” she said to Access.
“So I’m really excited in telling her story and that side of her, but it also allows me to pursue other ventures,” she added. “Riverdale” will return for a new season in 2021.

  • Mariah Carey Calls Out Ellen for Outing Her Pregnancy on TV While She's Not Ready

    NBC Studios

The ‘We Belong Together’ star recalls her ‘uncomfortable’ visit to ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ where the host forced the singer to confirm her pregnancy.
    Sep 1, 2020
AceShowbiz – Mariah Carey has added to the drama surrounding TV’s Ms. Nice, Ellen DeGeneres, by revealing the talk show host tried to drag a pregnancy confirmation out of her after she’d suffered a miscarriage.
The “Finding Dory” star’s kind and sweet reputation has taken a hit over the summer after current and former staffers accused Ellen of turning a blind eye to bad behaviour and harassment on the set of her hit daytime show. The allegations prompted the TV personality to issue a public apology and promise employees the toxic culture behind the scenes would end.
Three producers were also let go.
Many celebrities like Justin Timberlake and Katy Perry stood by Ellen, insisting they never experienced any bad vibes on the set when they were guests, but some have been less generous, and now Carey is speaking out about an uncomfortable appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in 2008, when the host tempted her guest with champagne to see if she was pregnant.
“I was extremely uncomfortable with that moment is all I can say…,” Mariah told Vulture. “I wasn’t ready to tell anyone because I had had a miscarriage. I don’t want to throw anyone that’s already being thrown under any proverbial bus, but I didn’t enjoy that moment.”
“There’s an empathy that can be applied to those moments that I would have liked to have been implemented.”

  • 'RHOP': Dr. Wendy Osefo and Ashley Darby Argue Over Bringing Baby to 'Girls Weekend'

    Instagram

Wendy seemingly thinks that it isn’t fair for Ashley to bring her son to a cast trip while she, who also just welcomed a baby at the time, has to be apart with her baby.
    Aug 31, 2020
AceShowbiz – The Sunday, August 30 episode of “The Real Housewives of Potomac” saw Dr. Wendy Osefo calling out co-star Ashley Darby for bringing her baby son on their cast trip to Monique Samuels’ lake house. Wendy seemingly thought that it wasn’t fair for Ashley to do so while she, who also just welcomed a baby at the time, had to be apart with her baby.
When asked by Robyn Dixon about why she brought her baby, Ashley explained, “No, I can’t be away from him.” Wendy then replied, “Ashley… come on now.”
Robyn tried to tell Wendy that it’s her third child, but Wendy insisted that she’s still a “new mom.” She went on to argue, “Her baby is two weeks older than mine, [too],” adding that it was supposed to be a “girls weekend.”
Ashley explained that she had no choice but brought her baby Dean with her because her husband Michael “has to go to work.” Wendy didn’t think it was a good excuse as she fired back, “My husband has to go to work, too, but he spends time with the kids. … I know how much I suffered and sacrificed to be here, I pumped around the clock, just so I could spend the weekend with you ladies, so I know it can be done. I don’t have sympathy for her saying she’s a new mother.”
Things got heated between Wendy and Ashley as they kept yelling at each other. The bickering didn’t stop even when they all gathered for dinner. “I am a tough nut to crack,” Wendy declared, adding, “I am a new mom myself, and so it touched a sensitive spot.” Ashley then called her “ferocious.”
Gizelle Bryant and Robyn, meanwhile, accused Wendy of taking her frustration out on Ashley. They asked her to apologize to Ashley but Wendy refused. “You just admitted that you acted out of frustration and yet you can’t tell me that you apologize?” Ashley asked, to which Wendy replied, “I don’t think it warrants an apology.”
“The Real Housewives of Potomac” airs on Sundays at 9 P.M. on Bravo.

  • '90 Day Fiance': Colt Johnson Apologizes to Jess Caroline For Sending 'D**k Pics' to Other Women

    Instagram

Colt says in his confessional that the confrontation left him ‘mortified,’ admitting to the Brazilian native that he did send NSFW photos to other women and tell them that he was ‘single.’
    Aug 31, 2020
AceShowbiz – A new episode of “90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After” saw Colt Johnson and Jess Caroline arguing. In the Sunday, August 30 episode, Jess confronted Colt over some elicit texts he allegedly sent to other women when they dated.
Colt previously admitted in his confessional that he had been talking to other women while the couple had been taking a brief break from their relationship. He tried to keep it secret, but eight different girls reached out to Jess via social media, hence the confrontation.
“How’s your d**k? You send pictures today?” the Brazilian native asked Colt while they were at a cafe, adding that she got screenshots of Colts’ d**k pics from the women as proof.
Colt said in his confessional that the confrontation left him “mortified,” admitting that he did send NSFW photos to other women and tell them that he was “single.” Colt hoped to “ease” into the conversation, but he felt that Jess came ready with “guns loaded” for their meeting. In his defense, Colt claimed that he “wasn’t part of the relationship” at the time he sent those pictures to the women.
The pair then headed to his house so they could continue to discuss their issues in private. Things didn’t go well as Jess fought with both his mom Debbie and Colt himself. Jess was about to show Debbie what kind of pictures that her son sent to the women, but she refused and went upstairs instead.
That allowed Jess and Colt to have a one-on-one conversation where Colt apologized to her for being “bad” to her. When things seemed to be working out, Colt surprised Jess when he told her that Vanessa Guerra had moved into his house. That wasn’t good news for Jess, considering he previously said that he wanted to have a physical relationship with Vanessa.

Despite appearing alongside his older brother in the movie, the ‘Succession’ actor confesses to James Corden that he ‘didn’t even know what it was about when they were doing it.’
    Aug 31, 2020
AceShowbiz – Kieran Culkin had no idea his big brother Macaulay Culkin was the star of “Home Alone” – despite appearing in the flick alongside him.
The “Succession” star appeared as Macaulay’s character Kevin’s bed-wetting cousin Fuller in the movie, but he tells James Corden on his “The Late Late Show with James Corden” that, despite acting in the film, he was surprised to learn his sibling was the leading man.
“I didn’t even know what the movie was about when we were doing it, so it was a fresh, brand new movie when I saw it,” Kieran shares. “There’s a part in the movie where there’s a kid who gets his head counted incorrectly and he goes, ‘Bye, bring me back something French!’ I thought the movie was about that kid.”
“It made sense when I saw it,” Kieran insists. “I remember seeing it in the theater at the premiere and I was dying laughing and I was like, ‘Oh, that makes sense ’cause Mac was on set all the time.'”

And last week (August 26), Macaulay celebrated his 40th birthday by trolling fans online with a message reading, “Hey guys, wanna feel old? I’m 40. You’re welcome…”
“Since I’m 40 I think it’s about time to start my midlife crisis. I’m thinking of picking up surfing. Do you all have any suggestions?” he quipped.

  • Evangeline Lilly to Share Equal Billing With Paul Rudd in 'Ant-Man 3'

Director Peyton Reed reminds that Hope van Dyne a.k.a.the Wasp, portrayed by the actress, holds ‘a very, very important part’ in the partnership with Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man.
    Aug 31, 2020
AceShowbiz – Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly will receive equal billing for “Ant-Man 3”.
The stars are set to front the forthcoming movie as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Hope van Dyne /Wasp, respectively, with director Peyton Reed – who helmed 2018’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp” and will return for the new film.
Discussing the two in a chat with Yahoo Entertainment, Peyton insists, “They’re a partnership, and she’s a very, very important part of that. And that was a very gratifying thing, I guess technically we were the first Marvel movie with a female hero in the title of the movie.”
“Finding that balance in that movie, that’s very important to me because that’s very much a men’s playing field, historically. But that’s really, really changing now in a great way,” Peyton shares of the preparations for “Ant-Man 3”.
Teasing the next instalment of the franchise, which was penned by “Rick and Morty” writer Jeff Loveness and is set for a 2022 release, he adds, “We have (cracked the story). Nothing is official yet, but we’re quietly working. We’re working through the pandemic.”

  • Corey Feldman Accuses WEtv of Holding Him 'Hostage' on 'Marriage Boot Camp' Set

    Instagram

Launching a lawsuit against the network among others, the former ‘Gremlins’ star claims that the show exploited his history as an alleged victim of sexual violence to increase ratings.
    Aug 31, 2020
AceShowbiz – Corey Feldman has filed a lawsuit against WEtv and the team behind the show “Marriage Boot Camp”.
The 49-year-old former child actor, who rose to fame in movies including “The Goonies” and “Gremlins”, insists he was held “hostage” on the set of “Marriage Boot Camp”, alleging the show exploited his history as an alleged victim of sexual violence to increase ratings.
In documents obtained by The Blast, filed in Los Angeles County Courts, Corey claims bosses with “full knowledge of the importance and the nature of Mr. Feldman’s lifetime work… not only perpetrated fraud by inducing Mr. Feldman with false promises,” but also, “falsified information to the public, they discredited Mr. Feldman as a liar on their show ‘Marriage Boot Camp: Family Edition’.”
Corey appeared on the show with his brother Eden but, according to the actor, he was “sold” the show on the “premises of being able, through guidance from licensed medical professionals, to help heal the tumultuous relationship” he had with his brother.
“Instead, of healing this brotherly relationship the (show) instead created questions and exercises that would focus and would reveal past sexual assaults on the celebrities and how such sexual trauma affected them and their lives,” Corey’s lawsuit claims.
He further alleges that the producers “held him and his family hostage under duress in a location unknown to them, causing severe emotional trauma.”
The lawsuit also states, “The harm caused by the Defendants’ breaches, fraud, and false promises have caused severe emotional trauma to Mr. Feldman. Such conduct has caused Mr. Feldman ongoing feelings of helplessness and suffering, which were reignited after decades of lying dormant due to successful therapy.”
He is suing the production company, network, and several of the doctors on set for damages he claims to have suffered during the show. The defendants have yet to publicly respond to the legal filing.
