  • 'RHONY' Alum Carole Radziwill Reacts to Dorinda Medley's Exit by Shading 'Fake' Cast Members

    Instagram

Dorinda announces her departure from the Bravo series in an Instagram post, writing, ‘I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice…But all things must come to an end.’
    Aug 26, 2020
AceShowbiz – Carole Radziwill is among those who were affected by Dorinda Medley’s departure from “The Real Housewives of New York City”. Carole, who left the show two years ago, has taken to her Twitter account to weigh in on Dorinda’s exit.
Gushing over Dorinda, Carole wrote on the blue bird app on Tuesday, August 25, “Dorinda was only ‘real’ HW. So no more truth telling too. Trust me that’s a main reason cast is let go.” The 57-year-old, who starred on “RHONY” from seasons 5 to 10, went on saying, “Telling the truth & exposing fake cast members & their storylines & how its all manipulated by production. I will never tire of saying I told you so about Trump, and this.”
Not stopping there, Carole followed it up with another tweet hours later. Alongside a picture of her with Dorinda, she wrote in the caption, “And so it goes….#Rhony Fans will miss her quips, her humor, her in your face bulls**t detector & her intelligence. But what they will come to miss the most is her honesty and realness in a sea of mendacity. Onward, my love. @DorindaMedley.”

Carole Radziwill reacted to Dorinda Medley’s exit.
Dorinda announced her departure from the Bravo series on Tuesday. “What a journey this has been,” she said in an Instagram post. “I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice…But all things must come to an end.”
The 55-year-old was grateful for the show, dubbing it “a great outlet for me to heal when my late husband Richard passed away.” She went on to say, “I have met so many interesting people and learned so much about myself, about life and about women along the way.”

“Thank you to Bravo and NBC for the incredible ride and to my cast mates for constant stimulation and entertainment. I wish you all health, happiness and success,” she concluded her message.

  • Gabrielle Union Compares 'America's Got Talent' Fallout to 'Public Flogging'

    WENN

The ‘L.A. Finest’ actress says her dramatic departure from the television talent show was ‘so surprising and so heartbreaking and so frustrating and so unnecessary.’
    Aug 26, 2020
AceShowbiz – Gabrielle Union’s exit from “America’s Got Talent” was one of the hardest things she’s ever dealt with.
The “L.A.’s Finest” star recalled her experience during the “Minding Her Business” panel discussion at the virtual American Black Film Festival, labelling it “so surprising and so heartbreaking and so frustrating and so unnecessary.”
Union, who departed the NBC show after just one series as a judge amid allegations of harassment and discrimination she witnessed and experienced during season 14, explained that it “(felt) like such a public flogging” and led to her “standing in my truth and standing on the side of employee rights and knowing there’s a better way of doing business.”
She added, “But that whole process was really brutal and knowing that I brought my team into that, it just sucked.”
NBC officials launched an investigation into the show after Union claimed there was racism behind the scenes, but had found no wrongdoing by May, 2020.
In June, she filed a harassment complaint against NBC, claiming NBC’s entertainment chief Paul Telegdy – who is currently under investigation by the network – tried to silence her reports of racism.
Union called NBC “a snake pit of racial offences” and later alleged that representatives for the organisation had threatened her agent.

  • 'Fringe' Star Jasika Nicole Calls Out Show Bosses Over 'Bullying and Racist' Treatment

    WENN

The star of the hit sci-fi TV series co-created and co-produced by J.J. Abrams reveals she didn’t get rides to work while all the other white regulars did.
    Aug 26, 2020
AceShowbiz – Actress Jasika Nicole has hit out at bosses behind her hit Fox series “Fringe” over the way she was treated on set compared with her predominantly white co-stars.
The 40-year-old actress first shared her complaints over the show back in July (20) when she slammed the “tasteless” long-running trope of her character Astrid’s partner Walter, played by John Noble, getting her name wrong throughout the series.
Following a Twitter discussion with a fan about the issue, John took to the site this weekend (22-23Aug20), writing to his former co-star, “I apologize for anything I may have done to appear disrespectful.” Jasika responded, “It’s ok- you didn’t write it, John!”
In a separate thread, she went on to explain how “frustrated” the joke made her feel at the time, writing, “It actually took me a while to even recognize how upset the joke made me.”
“Spending a lifetime of trying to fit in and laugh WITH the white kids instead of being laughed AT was a coping mechanism that followed me into adulthood,” she explained.
“But once I *could* articulate how frustrating the joke was, I couldn’t do anything with it- the show was not a safe space for me, literally from my first day on set when I was told I would not be getting rides to work (customary for series regulars) even though all 6 of my other cast members were getting picked up. Producer told me I was wrong, they weren’t getting rides, even though I would watch cast exit the transpo van each morning.”
Jasika continued, “At some point that producer got fired and I started getting rides to work like everyone else, but it just set the stage for being treated differently than everyone else.”
“We had directors (plural) who refused to get my name right. One insisted on referring to me as ‘you’, ‘that one’ and pointing at me to give me a direction. Another one simply refused to attempt to say my name correctly and called me everything he could think of but ‘Jasika’.”
The name trope in the show, she concluded, served as a constant reminder of the negative atmosphere on the series’ production, as Jasika insisted that while the joke “wasn’t lost on me,” it quickly “turned away from (Walter) being incapable of remembering astrids name to him being fully aware of who she is and just teasing her for fun.”
“THAT part became bullying and racist,” she stated.
WENN has reached out to representatives from Fox and Warner Bros. TV for comment.

  • Rose McGowan Claims Alyssa Milano Blocks Her on Twitter Following Toxic Behavior Accusations

    WENN

During their Twitter back-and-forth, Rose accuses the 47-year-old actress, whom she starred alongside on ‘Charmed’, of making the set of the hit WB series ‘toxic.’
    Aug 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – Rose McGowan is no stranger to making use of her social media account to call out people. Recently, the actress slammed Alyssa Milano during an online spat on Twitter, accusing her of past toxic behavior on the set of “Charmed”.
This started after Rose criticized Democrats, saying that they achieved nothing following the final night of the Democratic National Convention. Later, Alyssa clapped back at Rose, whom she starred alongside on the WB hit series, by listing the achievements of the Democratic party over the years.
“Rose and anyone bleating the same ‘dEmOcRaTs DoNt HeLp PeOpLe’ nonsense, your lies are going to hurt people less privileged than you,” she tweeted on August 22. “It’s the kind of thing an ACTUAL fraud would do. Thousands of people are dying a day but you go on with your hyperbolic attention-seeking tweets.”
In response to the tweet, Rose accused Alyssa of stealing “#metoo (a brilliant communication tool, not a movement) from Tarana [Burke]. You co-opted my movement, the Cultural Reset, for fame, jealous of me for outing my rapist. You made 250k per week on Charmed.”
In a follow-up tweet, Rose claimed that Alyssa “threw a fit in front of the crew, yelling, ‘They don’t pay me enough to do this s**t!’ Appalling behavior on the daily.” She went on adding, “I cried every time we got renewed because you made that set toxic AF. Now, get off my coattails you f***ing fraud.”
She also attached a link to an interview clip from 2018. The video saw the 46-year-old telling Nightline that she wasn’t a fan of Alyssa. “I don’t like her… ’cause I think she’s a lie,” she explained. Clapping back, Alyssa wrote on her account, “Do you think we can get #AlyssaMilanoIsALie to trend number 1 before I fall asleep? Everyone saying sweet things–I see you. Thank you. Everyone saying horrible things–I see you. F**k off.”

Rose McGowan insinuated that Alyssa Milano blocked her on Twitter.
Later on August 23, Rose hinted that she was blocked by Alyssa on Twitter by writing, “#metoo,” to someone who posted a screenshot showing that Alyssa blocked her on the blue bird app. A rep for Alyssa said to PEOPLE, “Hurt people hurt people. Commenting any further doesn’t align with my wellness plan.”

    Aug 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – Natalia Dyer is calling out members of the media for oversexualising her younger co-stars on “Stranger Things”.
The 25-year-old, who stars as Nancy Wheeler in the hit sci-fi series, reveals she feels protective of her fellow cast members, many of whom were just kids when they started on the show.
“There are so many layers going on here,” she tells The Independent. “I generally feel like, to me, it’s oversexualising them. I feel protective over the younger kids even though they’re not kids anymore, they’re teens.”
She adds, “They’re all great people and all having to grow up in very crazy circumstances. As a private person, I just feel like, leave people alone – unless you’re talking about their work or what they want to talk about.”

“There are moments I get frustrated from the inaccuracy, inappropriate comments, sexualisation, and unnecessary insults that ultimately have resulted in pain and insecurity for me,” she wrote on Instagram in February.
