    AceShowbiz –
Tom Cruise reportedly flew into a rage on the set of “Mission: Impossible 7” after becoming irritated by noisy branches on the roof of his trailer.

According to editors at British newspaper The Sun, the 58-year-old actor couldn’t stand the noisy trees while relaxing in between takes for the new instalment of the spy franchise and called on local workers to come and cut them down.

Insiders shared, “There isn’t much Tom can’t put up with. So imagine how baffled everyone was when there was such a fuss made over a tree.”

“The branches hanging over were knocking on the roof of the trailer which Tom and some of the other cast had been using.”

“Apparently the noise was becoming beyond irritating and they couldn’t stand it any longer. Two local lads were called out to sort out the problem and cut down the offending branches.”

The source also claimed the set has been busy with fans hoping to catch a glimpse of Tom and his co-star and rumoured girlfriend Hayley Atwell.

Two paramedics, who stopped to get pictures, were reportedly hauled away by security and ordered to delete the images they had taken.

The latest incident comes following reports last year (20) that five crew members on the “Mission: Impossible” set had quit after Tom launched into two rants.

The actor was said to have sounded off on staff after he caught them breaking U.K. coronavirus rules at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire.

Noah Centineo has bowed out of a project that will see him heading to the realm of Eternia. More than two years after it was reported that he was in talks to portray fictional superhero He-Man in “Masters of the Universe” movie, he has now exited the film.

A representative for the actor has confirmed his withdrawal from the movie, which has been in development at Sony Pictures and Mattel Films for years. “He is no longer attached to that project,” the rep said on Thursday, April 29, without offering any explanation regarding his exit.

Back in March 2019, there were mixed responses to Centineo’s casting as Prince Adam a.k.a. He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe, who must fight the evil Skeletor to save the planet Eternia and protect the secrets of Castle Grayskull. While some thought that the 24-year-old hunk was not big enough to portray He-Man, some others were just excited that the character would be brought back to the big screen.

Sarah Paulson's Linda Tripp Portrayal for 'Impeachment: ACM' Labeled as Fatphobia

    WENN/Instar

In some pictures featuring the award-winning actress as the American civil servant, Sarah is wearing a white top that she pairs with brown fat pantsuit.

    Apr 30, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Several set photos from “Impeachment: American Crime Story” have found their way out online and it offered the first look at Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp, who infamously tapped calls she had with Monica Lewinsky about the latter’s affair with Bill Clinton. In the new pictures, which circulated on Thursday, April 29, Sarah was unrecognizable as she donned a blonde wig and a fatsuit.

In the pictures, the award-winning actress wore a white top that she paired with a brown pantsuit that looked identical with the ones that real-life Linda wore during one occasion. Completing her look as the American civil servant, Sarah’s Linda wore golden-framed sunglasses.

Some people praised how Sarah nailed the look as one said, “Woah I didn’t realize that was Sarah Paulson for a minute there! The makeup here is phenomenal!” Another person wrote, “Sarah coming for that second American Crime Story awards sweep after playing Marcia Clark.”

However, some others were feeling offended by the portrayal. “this is offensive to me not because of fatphobia which yes we can all aspire to do better on but specifically because linda tripp is not being portrayed as having her hair styled by angry weasels,” one person said on Twitter. “This could have been a fat actor,” journalist Kristin Chirico pointed out in a tweet. “This could have been their big breakout role. This could have been their Golden Globe or their Emmy nod. This could have been their paid off student loans or their first house. Instead it’s Sarah Paulson in a fat suit.”

Kristin added, “I feel like so much has been said on why actors in fat suits are harmful on so MANY different levels but even at the very basic, surface level. This is one more fat person getting shut out.”

“Sarah Paulson could have done a dozen different roles in this and would have slayed as she often does,” one Twitter user said, adding, “There are so few opportunities for actors who aren’t Hollywood’s Preferred Physique & plenty of actors out there who could have killed this role without putting on a fat suit.”

“GLOW” breakout Britney Young also chimed in, writing, “I guess fat suits need work more then fat actors. That’s gotta be the reason, right?”

Based on former New Yorker writer Jeffrey Toobin’s book “A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President”, “Impeachment” is set to tackle the affair between Lewinsky and former president Bill in the late ’90s that captivated the nation. The scandal ultimately led to the president’s impeachment. After being impeached for not telling the truth about his affair with Lewinsky in December 1998, Bill was eventually acquitted by the senate in February 1999.

'Sweet Tooth' Offers First look at DC Universe's Hybrid Post-Apocalypse World in Teaser

    [embedded content]

In a surprising twist, the upcoming Netflix series is executive produced by Robert Downey, Jr., who is famously known as Iron Man in Marvel Cinematic Universe, and his wife Susan Downey.

    Apr 30, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Netflix has shared the first teaser trailer for its upcoming DC Comics series, “Sweet Tooth”, for viewing pleasure. The newly-released video of the show, which is based on the DC Universe, gives a first look at its post-apocalypse world in which hybrid exists.

Opening the trailer, someone says in voiceover, “Some stories start at the beginning. Ours begin here,” as a scene of a dad finding out that his baby is a half-human and half-deer flickers on the screen before it is revealed that the hybrid baby is only one among hundred others. “No one knew which came first, the hybrid or the virus. But that question would become the biggest mystery of our lifetime.”

“This is a story about a very special boy. A boy we’d come to know as Sweet Tooth,” the narrator introduces as a young boy with deer horns makes an entrance. A man, seemingly Sweet Tooth’s dad, can be heard warning Sweet Tooth, who is attacked in another scene of the teaser, that “some bad people are still out there,” adding, “They don’t like you because you’re different. … You have to be brave.”

The official synopsis of the eight-episode show reads, “Ten years ago ‘The Great Crumble’ wreaked havoc on the world and led to the mysterious emergence of hybrids — babies born part human, part animal. Unsure if hybrids are the cause or result of the virus, many humans fear and hunt them. After a decade of living safely in his secluded forest home, a sheltered hybrid deer-boy named Gus (Christian Convery) unexpectedly befriends a wandering loner named Jepperd (Nonso Anozie).”

“Together they set out on an extraordinary adventure across what’s left of America in search of answers- about Gus’ origins, Jepperd’s past, and the true meaning of home. But their story is full of unexpected allies and enemies, and Gus quickly learns the lush, dangerous world outside the forest is more complex than he ever could have imagined,” it continues.

The series is based on a DC comic, which ran from 2009 through 2013, created by Jeff Lemire. In a surprising twist, “Sweet Tooth” is executive produced by Robert Downey Jr., who is famously known as Iron Man in Marvel Cinematic Universe, and his wife Susan Downey.

Fellow executive producer Jim Mickle says of the series, “We wanted to make a show that offers escape and adventure, where nature is reclaiming the world and in many ways it feels like a fairytale.”

” ‘Sweet Tooth’ is a new kind of dystopian story, it’s very lush and hopeful. We want people to come into this world where there’s beauty and hope and adventure. This is a sweeping story – we ride on trains, climb mountaintops, run through forests. This is a show about what makes a family, what home really means, and why it’s important to keep faith in humanity,” he added.

Also starring on the series are Adeel Akhtar (“Murdered by My Father”), Aliza Vellani (“Upload”), Stefania LaVie Owen (“Krampus”), Dania Ramirez (“Once Upon a Time”), Neil Sandilands (“The Flash”) and Will Forte (“MacGruber”). Meanwhile, James Brolin is tapped to be the show’s narrator.

“Sweet Tooth” is set to arrive in June on Netflix.

Heather Thomson Claims She's 'Assaulted' During 'RHONY' Season 13 Filming

    Instagram

Sharing details about the alleged incident, the reality TV star says, ‘People were interested in putting me down, dragging me down and showing me who is the queen bee.’

    Apr 30, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Heather Thomson made a bombshell revelation regarding her exit from “The Real Housewives of New York City” season 13. During her appearance on “Friends of Dorothy” podcast, Heather revealed why she decided to exit the show, hinting that she was “assaulted” by a “queen bee.”

“I get assaulted this season,” the 51-year-old reality TV personality, who infamously exited season 13 after she stopped filming the show following a “messy” exchange with Leah McSweeney, shared. “The show has changed a lot, breaking the fourth wall.”

Sharing details about the alleged incident, she went on to say, “People were interested in putting me down, dragging me down and showing me who is the queen bee. I just don’t have time for that stuff. It’s the new girl who was intimidated and wanted to show who’s the queen bee.” While Heather didn’t name names in her revelations, people believe that Leah was the one who assaulted her.

      See also…

Prior to this, a source offered more insight into the alleged altercation. Speaking with Us Weekly, the source shared, “Heather’s popular history with the old cast and the excitement about new cast member Eboni K. Williams prompted production to maneuver [Heather’s] return.”

The insider added, “Shortly after she arrived, Leah and Heather butt heads. Heather could see Leah was acting up for the cameras and using behavior she considered demeaning and exploitative and frankly, crossed a line. Heather wanted no part of Leah so after she left that weekend Heather had no interest in continuing the season at all and stopped filming.”

In response to reports that she “chased” Heather away from the show, Leah appeared to address her feud with Heather in a now-deleted Instagram post. “I don’t like women who slut shame other women,” she wrote back in March. “Act morally superior to other women. Plastic surgery shame other women. Gossip about other women doing drugs when you know damn well they’ve done drugs also. And lastly I don’t like when white women call black women ‘articulate’. Especially while acting like the queen of wokeness.”

Back to the podcast, Heather also said that she was involved in an argument with the other ladies including Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan. “My podcast comes up on the show and it’s totally taken out of context. They kept accusing me of talking s**t behind their backs. They said that I was saying Luann was doing a lot of drugs which I didn’t say,” she divulged.

    WENN

The former ‘Games of Thrones’ actress is adapting the popular 2019 children’s book by Christian McKay Heidicker into an animated television mini-series.

    Apr 30, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Actress Lena Headey is tackling the horror genre with an animated adaptation of popular 2019 children’s book “Scary Stories for Young Foxes”.

The “Game of Thrones” star will lend her voice to the planned miniseries, based on the coming-of-age story by Christian McKay Heidicker, which she will co-executive produce for her Peephole Productions firm.

Heidicker will also serve as a producer on the project, which is being developed with officials at Boat Rocker Studios.

“During our first meeting at Boat Rocker I was asked what I was interested in and we started talking about horror for kids, how there is a space for this, and not to shy away from putting stuff out there that’s dark and smart,” Headey shared in a statement issued to Deadline.

      See also…

“Kids aren’t daft, they know when we’re holding back the scary bits, so I’m so happy to be part of a great team to bring Christian’s book to life in a way that feels authentic.”

Added the author, “I’m beyond thrilled at the prospect of (characters) Mia and Uly romping onto TV screens to chill a wider audience with the importance of scary stories.”

“I was worried that my book would be declawed – the scariest bits removed for sensitive viewers – but I’m convinced that Boat Rocker Studios and the gravitational Ms. Headey will elevate this project to a place of spooky sophistication.”

“Scary Stories for Young Foxes” features intertwining horror tales told to the young lead characters by an older fox.

    Instagram

During the filming of an episode that aired on Tuesday, April 27, the 64-year-old TV personality got hit by a ‘clump of confetti’ when she ‘was running across the stage, and the confetti came out.’

    Apr 30, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Vanna White managed to laugh off an on-set injury. The 64-year-old, who serves as Pat Sajak’s co-host on “Wheel of Fortune”, got “whacked in the head” when filming an episode of the show but brushed it off by being grateful that it was not her eyes that got hit.

The unfortunate incident happened on Tuesday, April 27 when contestant Laura Trammell was making a historic moment during the game show by becoming the first contestant ever to win a home, HollywoodLife.com reported. When Laura won the bonus round, confetti was released into the audience and the set, but something went wrong.

The show’s host Pat shared what happened by recalling, “Vanna was running across the stage, and the confetti came out, and you got whacked in the head by a clump of confetti.” Vanna, who has accompanied Pat on the show since 1982, replied with a laugh, “Thank goodness, it wasn’t my eye.”

Vanna, who wore a floral sleveless shift dress during the episode, didn’t seem to take the incident seriously. She even rocked a long hot pink piece of the shiny confetti around her neck. Seeing that, Pat retorted, “You could’ve put your eye out!”

The episode’s highlight was contestant Laura. The sixth grade teacher was thrilled upon learning that she just won a brand new 2000-square-foot home in Daytona Beach’s Latitude Margaritaville along with $23,690 in cash.

The big moment was shared by the “Wheel of Fortune” official Instagram. The post showed Laura’s reaction when Pat informed her about the big win. “A Wheel of Fortune first! Laura is the first contestant EVER to win a home on the show! Watch the historic moment right here!” the caption of the post read.

In the clip, Lauran was seen correctly guessing a phrase “I Caught A Glimpse.” Once the phrase appeared on the screen, Pat exclaimed, “She caught a glimpse…she caught a glimpse of her new home!”

The show also shared via its official Instagram account a touching video when Laura called her husband and told him about her win. “Who would be the first person you’d call if you won a new home?” its caption read.

Ewan McGregor: 'Star Wars' Prequel Series Filming Got 'Tedious' Due to Poor Dialogue

    20th Century Fox

The Obi-Wan Kenobi depicter admits he struggled with some scenes during the filming of the ‘Star Wars’ prequel series partly because of the disappointing dialogue.

    Apr 30, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Ewan McGregor found it difficult working the “Star Wars” prequel series because of the huge amount of CGI and unsatisfying dialogue.

The 50-year-old star played the role of Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi in the prequel trilogy of the iconic sci-fi series but he has admitted that working on those films could be “tedious” due to director George Lucas’ use of CGI technology which meant there was very little to work with for the actors other than the dialogue.

In a profile interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he said, “George loves technology and loves pushing into the realm. He wanted more and more control over what we see in the background.”

“After three or four months of that, it just gets really tedious – especially when the scenes are … I don’t want to be rude, but it’s not Shakespeare. There’s not something to dig into the dialogue that can satisfy you when there’s no environment there. It was quite hard to do.”

The “Trainspotting” star adds that he was disappointed that some of the three movies didn’t impress fans of the franchise, which began in 1977 with ‘Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope”.

      See also…

Ewan said, “(It) was hard they didn’t get well received. That was quite different. They were universally not very much liked.”

McGregor is set to return to a galaxy far, far away as Obi-Wan in an upcoming Disney+ series set between the prequel films and “Episode IV” and he has revealed that he was sworn to secrecy until the project was confirmed.

He said, “I’d see stuff on social media like, ‘They better cast Ewan as Obi-Wan’ and I wasn’t able to say anything.”

“But it was pretty humiliating to think that (Disney) might be thinking about casting someone else.”

Ewan – who will be reunited with his co-star Hayden Christensen, who is returning as Sith Lord Darth Vader – is “excited” about returning to the franchise and feels in a “better place” compared to his appearances in the films.

He said, “I’m really excited about it. Maybe more so than the first ones, because I’m older – I just turned 50 – and I’m just in a much better place.”
