Sam Heughan Keeps Eyes on James Bond Role After Auditioning for 'Casino Royale'

    WENN

During a recent interview on Britain’s ‘This Morning’, the ‘Outlander’ star expresses his belief that he is still young enough to replace Daniel Craig as the 007 agent.
    Jun 17, 2020
AceShowbiz – “Outlander” star Sam Heughan wants another shot at James Bond after missing out on the role of 007 in “Casino Royale”.
The actor auditioned for the role of Bond in the wake of Pierce Brosnan’s departure from the franchise but lost out to Daniel Craig, who has gone on to play 007 in five movies, culminating with this year’s “No Time to Die”.
But Sam believes he’s still young enough to play the movie spy.
“Obviously it’s a dream for every actor,” he told British TV show “This Morning”. “I auditioned for it back when they were doing Bond 21 when Daniel Craig was cast… I think a lot of actors were seen in the U.K.”
“A Scottish Bond? Who doesn’t want to see another Scottish Bond?”

Heughan is referring to Sean Connery, who became the first actor to portray Bond in 1962’s “Dr. No”.
The “Outlander” star will have some competition – Henry Cavill and Goran Visnjic were also reportedly considered for “Casino Royale” after Brosnan stepped down as 007, while James Norton, Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston and Richard Madden remain current fan favorites to take on the character.

'X Factor U.K.' Judge Regrets the Way She Criticizes Misha B but Denies 'Racist Bullying' Claims

    Instagram

Tulisa Contostavlos apologizes for calling out the former contestant publicly while insisting her comments about the singer were never ‘racially motivated.’
    Jun 17, 2020
AceShowbiz – Tulisa Contostavlos has hit back following “The X Factor U.K.” contestant Misha B’s claims of bullying on the show, insisting her comments about the singer were never “racially motivated.”
Misha B revealed in a recent Instagram Live video that the comments Tulisa and fellow judge Louis Walsh made to her on stage – with the former accusing her of being “feisty” and “mean” – had upset her so much that she considered ending her life. Misha was diagnosed with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) following her appearance on the 2011 series, the season Little Mix won, and her allegations have led to producers at the U.K. TV talent show launching an investigation.
Tulisa addressed Misha’s claims in an Instagram video of her own in the early hours of Tuesday, June 16, 2020 and said that while she does regret “calling her out” so publicly about her alleged backstage behaviour, it was never an issue of race.
“I’m not taking away from the fact of how Misha feels,” the 31-year-old singer said. “I accept that she is entitled to her opinion and I’m sorry if she feels that that situation was racially motivated. I can only speak for my side of the situation, which I can say it 100 per cent was not. One thing I regret is calling her out publicly the way that I did. If I was the person I am today, who’s more emotionally intelligent, who has more life experience, I would have handled it in a very different way. And that I am truly sorry for and I deeply regret.”
Since Misha’s video, numerous people online have accused Tulisa of being racist – which she strenuously denied as the video continued.
“But to say, and make claims, I’m not saying she is but I’ve seen people doing it online, that it was racially motivated is ludicrous. Let me explain to you what happened. There had been an accumulation of things, that Misha had done to other contestants and my contestants, backstage. She had made two of my acts cry, one of them being on the night that I made those comments… I called a lot of people out on that show, white, black, tall, short – it’s nothing to do with skin colour.”
“I was protecting my acts, and if somebody does some nasty stuff, whether it be on that show or not, I’m gonna call them out on it. It’s nothing to do with race. I didn’t wake up and go, ‘I wanna cause some drama for Misha B cos of the colour of her skin.’ She did some things that I felt I needed to pull her up on. These things were real and they were happening. I was dealing with crying contestants backstage because of her actions. Now I’m sure she’s not the same person – this was 10 years ago – just as I’m not the same person to call her out in the way that I did. I was a very feisty 22-year-old. I didn’t think of emotional consequences, but I can 100 per cent tell you, race was not even in the equation. It had nothing to do with race. These accusations are ludicrous.”
Tulisa then stopped the video and restarted it in another part of her house when she continued to explain how much she owes to black culture and added that she’s now doing her best to “educate” herself on the Black Lives Matter movement after seeking advice from her friends.
Concluding her video, the former N-Dubz singer emphatically stated, “Please believe me when I tell you, I do not have a racist bone in my body.”

Kaitlyn Bristowe Joins 'DWTS' Season 29 After Allegedly Being Blocked From the Show

    Instagram

Her casting is announced during a new episode of ‘The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons – Ever’ with host Chris Harrison breaking the news to her and boyfriend Jason Tartick.
    Jun 16, 2020
AceShowbiz – Kaitlyn Bristowe’s dream has finally come true. In the Monday night, June 15 episode of “The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons – Ever!”, the former “The Bachelorette” star was revealed to be joining upcoming season 29 of “Dancing with the Stars”, much to her own surprise.
During the episode, host Chris Harrison told Kaitlyn, “In all seriousness, I do have a real question for you Kaitlyn. This is a question I’m so excited to ask you because, well, your life is about to change.” In response to that, Kaitlyn nervously asked her boyfriend Jason Tartick, “Do you know about this?”
“Kaitlyn, will you be on the next season of ‘Dancing with the Stars’?” Chris finally asked. Kaitlyn could be seen gasping with excitement and said, “Play it cool Kaitlyn, play it cool! Are you serious? Chris! I’m shaking. Oh my gosh. Chris, I feel like I’m going to cry.”
“I feel like this is back to the moment where you told me I was the Bachelorette. That is the last thing in the world I thought you were going to say. I thought you were going to ask me to take over your job … I don’t know,” she continued. “Yes yes! I’m so honored to say yes.”

Back in 2019, Kaitlyn revealed during her appearance on “Talkhouse Podcast” that “Bachelor” franchise creator Mike Fleiss blocked her from the ABC dancing competition. “They won’t let me [go on the show], ever,” she told comedian Nikki Glaser.
“I’ll tell you exactly why I can’t go on ‘Dancing with the Stars’. Anybody that listens to this podcast knows why I cannot go on ‘Dancing with the Stars’. And it’s because, and I will say this with a mic in my hand and a smile on face, that Mike Fleiss is a piece of s**t. He is the creator of ‘The Bachelor’, and he hates women.”
That wasn’t the first time for Kaitlyn to make such claims. Back in 2017, she tweeted, “Actually I was offered it, had the contract & Mike Fliess [sic] told me I wasn’t allowed. He said he didn’t want people wanting fame after his show.” Mike then responded to the tweet, saying, “@kaitlynbristowe has my total support if she wants to appear on DWTS!!!”

'The X Factor U.K.' Producers Investigate Racism Allegations Against Two Judges

    Instagram

Former contestant Misha B claims to have been changed by her experience on the competition show after Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh accused her of bullying other hopefuls.
    Jun 16, 2020
AceShowbiz – The producers of British TV talent show “The X Factor” are investigating a former contestant’s bullying claims against two judges.
Misha B has revealed she considered ending her life when Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh accused her of bullying other hopefuls on the show in 2011 – the series Little Mix won.
Louis alleged that contestants in his category had come to him with complaints about her and suggested she was “overconfident,” while Tulisa considered Misha “feisty” and “mean,” and the musician recently spoke out about her treatment on the show, claiming the judges picked on her because she was black, and revealing her time on “The X Factor” left her with post-traumatic stress disorder.
In an Instagram Live video, Misha said, “That experience, that trauma, had changed me as a person… I didn’t trust anyone. Everyone asks me, ‘Misha, where have you been? What’s been going on?’ I’ve been battling. I’ve been healing. I’ve been working on self. I started therapy in 2012. I’m still having therapy now.”

Misha, who singled out judge Kelly Rowland for being there for her, also slammed Tulisa, claiming she “scripted” an exchange, in which she was described as “feisty” and “mean,” playing into the racist stereotype of the angry black woman.
“X Factor” bosses have taken note of what Misha has said and they are looking into the matter.
In a statement obtained by WENN, a spokesman says, “We are very concerned to hear Misha’s comments regarding her experience on ‘The X Factor’ in 2011. We are currently looking into this matter and are reaching out to Misha to discuss the important issues she has raised.”
“The welfare of contestants is our priority and we are committed to diversity and equality.”

'Ghostbusters' Director Unveils Role Originally Offered to John Candy

    WENN

Ivan Reitman makes the big reveal when appearing on Josh Gad’s ‘Reunited Apart’ series alongside cast members Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts and Sigourney Weaver.
    Jun 16, 2020
AceShowbiz – Funnyman John Candy was originally approached to play Sigourney Weaver’s neighbour-turned-sidekick in the “Ghostbusters” movies.
Director Ivan Reitman made the big reveal during a cast reunion organised by Josh Gad last week (ends June 12), which aired on YouTube on Monday.
Rick Moranis, who was not part of the get together, eventually nabbed the role of Louis Tully, after Candy passed.
“He didn’t really get it,” said Reitman. “He kept wanting to play him with a German accent, with a couple of German Shepherd dogs.”
“I said, ‘I think that would be confusing, given the (demon) dogs that are already on the roof (in the film)’.”
    [embedded content]
Eventually, Reitman sent the script to Moranis, who leapt at the chance to play Tully: “Rick read it and called me immediately and said, ‘John just made a terrible mistake, I’m so happy’,” the filmmaker added.
Joining Reitman for the “Reunited Apart” cast get together were Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, Weaver, and the director’s son Jason, who is currently making the latest instalment in the spooky franchise.
