    Wendy Williams Announces Show Hiatus After Looking Concerning

    This marks the second time for Wendy to have a hiatus from the show due to Graves’ disease as back in 2018, she stepped back from the show to focus on her health.

    AceShowbiz – Wendy Williams is putting her health above everything. The TV personality recently took to her Instagram account to announce to her followers that she would be taking time off “[email protected]” show as she’s been struggling from Graves’ disease.
    “Recently, Wendy has been dealing with symptoms from her Graves’ disease which is causing fatigue,” read the statement on Monday, May 18. “In consultation with her doctor and as a precautionary measure, she will be taking some time off as she continues to receive treatment.”
    The statement continued, “We look forward to welcoming Wendy back soon and continuing the [email protected] shows. More updates on a return date will follow.”

    Prior to this, the daytime TV host sparked concern for her health as she looked exhausted in a recent episode. The fact that Wendy’s battling cocaine addiction didn’t help either as it only further put fans on high alert.
    “Are you good? I’m worried about you. Are you spiraling? Please get some help now,” a worried fan said. “The energy is LOW today,” another fan noted.
    This marks the second time for Wendy to have a hiatus from the show due to Graves’ disease. Back in 2018, she told her audience that she would be taking a 3-week hiatus to focus on her health after being diagnosed with Graves’ disease in addition to her hyperthyroidism.
    “My doctor has prescribed are you ready? As of today, three weeks of vacation,” Wendy announced at the time. “What? Who are you? I was pissed.” She later explained the disease was described as an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid. “Graves’ disease squeezes behind the eyeballs,” she said, adding that it made her eyeballs twitch.

    AceShowbiz – NeNe Leakes has detailed the reason why she walked off during the first part of season 12 reunion of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”. In a lengthy post on her Instagram account, the Bravo personality shared that she felt “it only felt right to personally REMOVE MYSELF from the reunion.”
    In the Sunday, May 17 post, she went on to say, “So much had happened this season! (the cookie lady, [Marc Daly] & [Kenya Moore]’s fake marriage, Dennis [McKinley] accusations, Snake gate and much more) but drilling me on subjects, muting me, flashing back to things that had happened since the show has wrapped (like my relationship with [Wendy Williams] while quarantine. (why didn’t they ask about Kandi’s [Burruss] restaurant shooting the if that’s what we’re doing) interviews I’ve done since we wrapped the show that has nothing to do with the show) After deciding that apologizing for certain things was only only right) that wasn’t genuine enough!”
    “Starting over with lil sis [Porsha Williams] was made fun of and here they go bringing someone on the reunion that i was personally told by executives wasn’t allowed on set anymore!” she continued writing, referring to Yovanna Momplaisir, who was deemed to be the “snake” in the current season. “All this and so much more felt like the rules only applied to me and that i was being held to a different standard than others but you continue to be the judge.”

    Upon reading her post, fans showed divided reactions. A fan was on NeNe’s side, commenting, “She’s right though…those other stories were definitely more interesting than her fallout with Wendy. It was a set up. I’m glad she didn’t give them the energy. Let’s see what they talk about in her absence.”
    However, some others didn’t think that it was right for NeNe to quit the reunion just because she couldn’t take the criticism from others. Calling NeNe “dramatic,” another fan noted, “Every single lady on that show get grilled and today it wasn’t even her who got dragged the most … it was Kenya and her a** took it like a champ like she does at every reunion when they all come for her. I think it’s time for Nene to take a break from the show.”
    “Lies. She couldn’t stand the heat so she removed her wig from the kitchen. If you can give it, you can take it,” said another user. Meanwhile, someone else chimed in, “Girl bye!!! Ain’t nobody buying that bullshit. Why wouldn’t you want Yovonna on there if she was your friend? Talk about fake story lines.”
    In related news, NeNe revealed that she was undecided whether she would return for a new season or not. “I don’t know. I just don’t know,” the 52-year-old told PEOPLE. “I got back and forth with it every day. I feel like it’s a big conversation I need to have with the network and with production. Because if they value their talent in some sort of way, then we need to talk. We need to come up with some sort of compromise here.”
    “This time, being quarantined [amid the coronavirus pandemic] has really made me appreciate a lot of things about my life anyway,” she added. “I keep saying to people, ‘I want my life back.’ I can’t have these girls fighting with me on TV for no reason anymore. I’ve got to move forward. And if that’s all you want from me, I have to move on and I got to go. Me and my wig got to leave, honey.”

    During the video for GQ magazine, the star, 30, revealed that when he auditioned for “X-Men: First Class”, director Matthew Vaughn had a strange request.
    “Matthew Vaughn asked me to do a couple of takes in an American accent as you kind of saw the character. But then also (to) do a take doing an impression of Stewie Griffin from ‘Family Guy’,” Nicholas shared about his audition for the role of Hank McCoy/Beast.
    “I had watched a lot of ‘Family Guy’ in my teen years growing up, so I was like, ‘OK, I think I’ve got a pretty good impression of Stewie Griffin lined up.’ ”

    He added, “So I did a whole version of the take as Stewie Griffin and sent it off. So maybe that helped me get the part? I don’t know.”

    AceShowbiz – “American Idol” aired its season 18 finale on Sunday, May 17. Host Ryan Seacrest first revealed that Dillon James, Jonny West, Arthur Gunn, Francisco Martin and Justin Sam were among the Top 5, which meant that Louis Knight and Julia Gargano were eliminated.
    Dillon was the first performer to sing that night, performing “Change The World” by Eric Clapton. The judges, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, loved it as they deemed that one of his best performances of the season.

    Following up was Francisco who opted to sing Harry Styles’ “Adore You” with his guitar. He was praised for his growing confidence. As for Sam, she showed of her skills by belting out Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger” which earned her rave reviews.

    Later, Arthur sang “I Don’t Wanna Be” by Gavin DeGraw. Concluding the round one was Jonny. He entertained everyone with an amazing performance of “You Can’t Keep a Good Man Down”.

    Dillon opened the second round with a performance of Bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are A-Changin’ “. Next up was Francisco, singing Maggie Rogers’ “Alaska” which he also performed during his audition.

    As for Sam, she belted out “Rise Up” by Andra Day. Meanwhile, Arthur picked his audition song “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” for the second round. Lastly, Jonny performed an original song titled “Makin’ Love” which was also his audition song.

    Prior to the winner revelation, the judges and some special guests offered fun performances. Luke sang his newest song “One Margarita” before Rascal Flatts and former contestant Doug Kiker joined forces for “Bess the Broken Road”.
    Lauren Daigle was also among the performers, singing “You Say” with Just Sam. Meanwhile, Katy debuted her new single “Daisie” with Cynthia Erivo joining artists from this season to perform a stunning tribute to Aretha Franklin.
    Finally, it’s time to announce the winner. Ryan then named Just Sam as the winner of the current season 18!

    Chiefs at CBS announced that the classic 1978 musical, starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, will fill the June 7, 2020 time slot vacated by the 2020 Tony Awards due to the coronavirus pandemic.
    However, the decision has been slammed by Broadway stars, who took to Twitter to express their disappointment over the move.
    Gideon Glick of “To Kill a Mockingbird” tweeted, “I’m certain there are a million gays out there who could help you curate a greatest hits of the Tony Awards to air instead!”
    “(Not) a retrospective of past great Tony performances and speeches and moments? Or something highlighting the amazing work that people in theatre do for their community? Or literally anything other than this?” “Frozen” star Patti Murin mused of the network’s move.
    Lyricist Benj Pasek, “Hamilton” ‘s Lin-Manuel Miranda, and “Wicked” star Andy Mientus also took to the platform to object to the broadcast.
    Since New York government officials announced a ban on gatherings over 500 on March 12, 2020, Broadway has remained shut, marking the longest hiatus in its history. The Great White Way will remain dark until at least September 2020.
    “The Grease” sing-along will air on CBS on 7 June at 8.30 P.M. ET.

    AceShowbiz – Movie classic “Some Like It Hot” is heading to Broadway as a new musical.
    The 1959 comedy, starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, and Jack Lemmon, has been adapted for the stage by “The Inheritance” ‘s Matthew Lopez, with music and lyrics from Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, the duo who created the tunes for TV series “Smash” and the hit Broadway production of “Hairspray!”.
    The show had previously been in development for a spring, 2021 debut in Chicago, Illinois, but the project will now head straight to the Great White Way next year, with “The Book of Mormon” ‘s Casey Nicholaw onboard as director and choreographer.
    Casting details have yet to be revealed.
    The Billy Wilder movie, about two musicians who dress in drag to escape the clutches of the mafia, previously inspired the hit musical “Sugar”, which opened on Broadway in 1972.
    The news of the “Some Like It Hot” adaptation emerges as the Big Apple’s famed theatre district remains shuttered due to the coronavirus pandemic. Broadway venues will stay closed throughout the summer, at least until America’s Labor Day holiday in early September 2020.

    The new version will take a comedic look at the question of what defines a “perfect 10” in today’s world, reported Deadline.
    Karen McCullah and Kirsten ‘Kiwi’ Smith will write the script, with Sue Kroll, Jeff Nathanson, and Ashok Amritraj also producing.
    “10 holds a special place in my heart. It captures Blake’s charisma and his special humor that I so adore,” Julie shared in a statement.
    “I have long been rather protective about which of Blake’s brilliant works should be re-imagined. I am pleased that today’s film goers will have an opportunity to enjoy a new interpretation of this classic.”
    Further details surrounding the production remain unknown.

    AceShowbiz – Rod Stewart wants his daughter Kimberly’s ex, actor Rhys Ifans, to play him in his own biopic.
    The British rocker is keen on seeing his life depicted in celluloid after witnessing the success of movies about fellow ’70s stars Elton John and Freddie Mercury.
    And if a film does make it to the big screen, the “Maggie May” hitmaker, 75 believes Rhys, 52, who had an on-off relationship with Kimberly, 40, more than a decade ago, would be perfect for the role – so long as he has the right haircut.
    “Rhys would be a very good idea. (But) he has got to do something with his barnet (hair),” Rod tells BBC Radio 2.
    The musician also floated the idea of his son Alastair, 14, playing him in younger scenes due to having a “remarkable similarity” in their looks.
    Speaking about his hopes for a biopic, Rod adds, “If it does not happen it does not matter but I would be ­flattered if it did. But I tell you what, the Freddie Mercury one was so good. It was rock and roll. It would be hard to get ­something better than that but I would give it a shot.”
    The rock legend is also desperate to get back on the road when the Covid-19 crisis passes.
    “I miss work. I am itching to get back,” he says. “I keep in contact with the band and they keep saying, ‘See you at the ­soundcheck.’ But we don’t know when that is going to be.”
