Marlo Hampton Thinks Wendy Williams Will Be 'Amazing' Addition to 'RHOA'

    Instagram

However, it’s less likely for Wendy to appear on the Bravo show considering her fallout with NeNe recently with Marlo speaking of the situation, ‘I just know NeNe was really upset.’
    Apr 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Marlo Hampton is the latest “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member who wants Wendy Williams to join the Bravo reality TV show. During an interview with HollywoodLife.com on Instagram Live on Sunday night, April 19, Marlo said that the TV host would take “RHOA” to the next level.
She mentioned that it would be interesting to have Wendy recurring in upcoming season 13 of the show, considering her on-and-off friendship with co-star NeNe Leakes. “I need her and NeNe to make up anyways, so that would be amazing,” Marlo said.
“Imagine our show with Wendy on it, oh my gosh,” she went on saying. While Wendy previously hinted that she’s never been interested in being a Housewife, Marlo believed that “Wendy wants to come and play with us. I think she really likes to play with the girls.”
However, it’s less likely for Wendy to appear on “RHOA” considering her fallout with NeNe recently. When asked if they would make up this time, Marlo responded, “I don’t know. I just know NeNe was really upset.” She went on saying, “They took it to social media, so I don’t know. Let’s hope they get over it and get back to a good place.”

The tension between NeNe and Wendy stemmed from when NeNe tried to get Wendy on FaceTime. “You know I don’t have face or time for FaceTime, period,” Williams ranted earlier this month on her talk show. “If I don’t do it for my own parents of the show, why would I be doing it for someone over there. I like NeNe, but she’s still an over-there person to me!”
“Honestly, here’s where the ambush comes in,” Wendy added. Stressing that she wasn’t interested in being put on display that way again, Wendy continued, “I made it very clear, I am not a Housewife. Sorry, my career is a bit … different … than being a Housewife. I don’t need that kind of attention.”
Later, NeNe broke her silence on the issue in her Instagram Live. “I love to do a Q&A with you guys, but if you’re going to ask me anything about Wendy, please refrain from doing so. … “I am not that kind of friend,” she said. “I’ve never been that kind of friend despite what you might think. Any questions I have, I would direct them to her. I wish she could have done the same. … I am not a snitch and I will never be one.”
Despite that, NeNe shared that she wouldn’t “hash out friendship over social media. It won’t benefit me at all. And it won’t benefit any friendship that I have.” However, it seemed like the 52-year-old TV star demanded a public apology for the “public disrespect.”

    WENN/FayesVision

Drew Dixon and her fellow accusers Sil Lai Abrams and Sheri Sher are featured in a new trailer for ‘On the Record’ which will be premiered on the streaming service on May 27.
    Apr 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Three of the women who have accused hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons of sexual harassment are opening up in a HBO Max documentary.
The trailer for “On the Record” dropped on Wednesday, April 22, and featured Drew Dixon and her fellow accusers Sil Lai Abrams and Sheri Sher.
Dixon is the star of the teaser, alleging Simmons raped her at his apartment in Manhattan, New York after offering her a job at his Def Jam record label.
Dixon was one of the first women to expose the businessman’s alleged bad behaviour in a New York Times article in 2017.
“I didn’t tell that many people about what happened with Russell,” she shares in the trailer for the new film, which premiered at Sundance in January. “He just grabbed me… and I’m saying no. I was reduced to nothing in that moment. Nothing about anything that makes me who I am mattered.”

Simmons has denied all accusations of sexual misconduct and assault against him, stating: “I have never had a sexual encounter that was not consensual or lawful. Ever.”
“On the Record” is set to premiere on new streaming service HBO Max on 27 May.

Halle Berry Gives the Low-Down on Why She Was Forced to Shave Off Daughter's Hair

    WENN

During an interview with Jimmy Fallon, the ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ actress reveals what happened to Nahla’s hair after spending so much time in the pool during coronavirus quarantine.
    Apr 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Halle Berry has had to shave her daughter’s hair because she’s spending so much time in the family pool it has all matted together.
The Oscar winner was shocked to discover her 12-year-old Nahla’s hair had “shrunken up into a tight ball that feels like matted fur”, and when a conditioning treatment didn’t work, mum had to reach for the clippers.
“I couldn’t even get my finger in it (hair), and I’m pulling and she’s screaming,” Halle told The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon.
“(I had to) shave it off… She is bald in the back (now).”
    [embedded content]
The “Catwoman” star added, “She was not cool with that, but it was our only option. But now she gets it… I was like, ‘First of all, maybe you’ll let your mother help you. And second of all, you learned you gotta brush your hair. Every day, you gotta brush your hair.’ ”

Whitney Houston Biopic Secures 'Bohemian Rhapsody' Writer

    WENN

Aside from Anthony McCarten, the ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ singer’s estate and longtime mentor Clive Davis have also been in talk with ‘The Photograph’ filmmaker Stella Meghie to direct.
    Apr 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Oscar-nominated “Bohemian Rhapsody” screenwriter Anthony McCarten has been tapped to pen the script for an upcoming Whitney Houston biopic.
The tragic superstar’s estate officials have been working with Whitney’s longtime mentor Clive Davis to develop “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”, and now the project is taking shape with McCarten hired to adapt the singer’s life story for the big screen.
According to Deadline.com, they have also entered talks with “The Photograph” filmmaker Stella Meghie to direct the movie, which has been described as a “joyous, emotional and heart-breaking celebration of the life and music of the greatest female R&B pop vocalist of all time, tracking her journey from obscurity to musical superstardom”.
McCarten has become known for award-winning biopics – in addition to “Bohemian Rhapsody”, which revolved around the life of late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, played onscreen by Rami Malek, he was also the man behind Stephen Hawking film “The Theory of Everything”, starring Eddie Redmayne, and Winston Churchill war drama “Darkest Hour” with Gary Oldman.
All three leading men took home Oscars for their performances.
McCarten also wrote 2019 Netflix release “The Two Popes”, adapted from his own play, “The Pope”, and is currently working on a Bee Gees biopic and a Broadway musical on the life of Neil Diamond.
Casting information has yet to be revealed, but Yaya DaCosta previously played the singer/actress in a 2015 TV movie simply titled “Whitney”, directed by Angela Bassett.
Houston died in 2012, aged 48.

'Masked Singer' Recap: Find Out the Famous Rock Star Under The Banana's Costume

    FOX

In the new episode, Sharon Osbourne is tapped to be the guest panelist for the night to help the other panelists who include Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke.
    Apr 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – A new episode of “The Masked Singer” season 3 aired on Wednesday, April 22. In this week’s face-offs, viewers were offered with a battle between Frog vs. Kitty and Banana vs. Rhino. Meanwhile, Sharon Osbourne was tapped to be the guest panelist for the night to help the other panelists who included Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke.
The first face-off was between the Frog vs. Kitty. The former opted to sing Pitbull’s “Fireball” with his clues including a keyboard, sneakers, ice cube tray and the Japanese flag. Sharon guessed Alfonso Ribeiro while Jenny thought he was Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson Jr. As for Ken, he mentioned Katt Williams.
Meanwhile, the Kitty took the stage to sing a rendition of “True Colors” by Cyndi Lauper. Due to the amount of “Grease” and “High School Musical” in the clues, Jenny thought she might be Vanessa Hudgens with Nicole going with Emma Roberts. Kate and Sharon, meanwhile, believe she was Kate Bosworth. Later it was announced that the winner of the face-off was the Frog!
Following it up, the Banana performed Bob Dylan’s “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” on the piano. The panelists threw names such as Bret Michaels, Keith Urban and Kid Rock as the guests.
The Rhino opted to sing “10,000 Hours” by Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber. For his clues, he admitted to be stressed out when he “flopped.” Robin guessed Sam Hunt, Sharon believed he was David Hasselhoff. Meanwhile, Ken with a wild guess, “Property Brothers” star Jonathan Scott. Rhino was then declared as the winner for the face-off.
That meant Kitty and Banana were up for the Smackdown. Kitty took the stage to sing Sia Furler’s “Unstoppable”, while Banana sang “Brick House” by Commodores. At the end, the viewers voted to keep Kitty on the show and send Banana home. When Banana unmasked himself, it was revealed that he’s Poison member Bret Michaels which meant Jenny guessed it correctly.

Halle Berry Praises Pierce Brosnan for Saving Her From Choking During 'Die Another Day' Filming

    MGM

During an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon’, the actress playing Jinx in the 2002 Bond movie recounts the time the shooting of a fig seduction scene went wrong.
    Apr 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Pierce Brosnan stopped James Bond co-star Halle Berry from choking while the pair were filming 2002 movie “Die Another Day”.
The actress, who played Jinx opposite Brosnan’s 007, told “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday (April 21) that the actor saved her life after she got a fig caught in her throat.
“I was supposed to be all sexy, trying to seduce him with a fig, and then I end up choking on it and he had to get up and do the Heimlich,” the 53-year-old recalled. “That was so not sexy.”
The Heimlich manoeuvre is a first-aid procedure for dislodging an obstruction from a person’s windpipe by applying sudden pressure to the abdomen between the belly button and rib cage.
She continued: “James Bond knows how to Heimlich! He was there for me, he will always be one of my favourite people in the whole world.”
It wasn’t the only terrifying experience Berry had on set – the actress suffered an injury during an action sequence in Cadiz, Spain, when debris from a smoke grenade stunt lodged in her left eye.

According to EW.com, she was transported to a local hospital where doctors removed the piece of shrapnel.

Dougray Scott Gets Real on Why He Turned Down 'Lord of the Rings' Role

    WENN/FayesVision

Claiming to be part of the early casting talks to portray Aragorn in the film trilogy, the ‘Mission: Impossible 2’ actor explains why he has no regret letting slip of the coveted part.
    Apr 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Dougray Scott has no regrets about turning down the chance to play the role of Aragorn in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy.
The actor reveals he met with director Peter Jackson for the part, which ultimately went to Viggo Mortensen, but was put of by the idea of spending so long time in New Zealand shooting three films.
“I’d just finished doing ‘Mission: Impossible 2′ and the idea of spending two years away in New Zealand, I just couldn’t quite contemplate,” the British actor tells NME.com.
The 54-year-old was never officially offered the role but admits he was part of the early casting talks.
“They didn’t offer it to me, but they sent me the script to read, for sure,” he adds. “Then I had to go meet him (Jackson) in New Zealand, but the idea of spending that amount of time away in New Zealand at that particular time, I didn’t want to do.”
The “My Week with Marilyn” star feels it all worked out for the best, noting he thought Mortensen was “great,” adding, “I don’t have regrets about anything.”
Among the stars who also passed on the role were Nicolas Cage, Russell Crowe and Daniel Day-Lewis. Irish actor Stuart Townsend was initially picked to bring the character to life but he was re-cast during pre-production.
It’s not the only major role Scott has missed out on. He was also a lock to play Wolverine in the first “X-Men” movie, but had to pass on the part when he was cast in the “Mission: Impossible” sequel.
Hugh Jackman went on to play the movie mutant in nine movies between 2000 and 2017.
