    AceShowbiz – The “Party of Five” reboot has been cancelled after just one season.
    Bosses at U.S. network Freeform have opted not to renew the drama for a second season a month after the series wrapped its freshman season run with a March 4, 2020 finale.
    The show, starring Brandon Larracuente and Emily Tosta, was never the big ratings winner producers hoped it would be.
    The original “Party of Five” series, starring Matthew Fox, Scott Wolf, and Neve Campbell, ran from 1995 to 2000.

    Reed Morano is reportedly in discussions to sit behind the lens for the true-story movie called ‘The Godmother’ about Colombian female drug lord Griselda Blanco.

    AceShowbiz – “The Handmaid’s Tale” director Reed Morano is in talks to oversee Jennifer Lopez’s real-life cocaine crime story “The Godmother”.
    The actress signed up to portray notorious Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco last summer, July 2019 and now producers have roped in Morano to direct the feature.
    According to Deadline, Reed isn’t the only one engaged in talks – screenwriter William Monahan, who won an Oscar for penning the script for filmmaker Martin Scorsese’s gangster film “The Departed”, is also in discussions to revamp the first draft of “The Godmother”, written by Terry Winter and Regina Corrado.
    J.Lo will produce the film about Blanco, who is infamous for becoming the top cocaine drug lord in Miami, Florida during a murderous reign in the 1980s.

    The former First Lady of the United States has teamed up with PBS for kids’ story time on a new series ‘Mondays With Michelle Obama’ during coronavirus lockdown.

    AceShowbiz – Former First Lady of the U.S. Michelle Obama is partnering with PBS for a virtual story time each Monday over the next month during the coronavirus outbreak.
    Michelle will give families a “much-needed” break with her new “Mondays With Michelle Obama” series, which will air weekly at 12 P.M. EST, starting next week, April 20, 2020.
    Each week she’ll read one of her favourite children’s classics, including “The Gruffalo”, “There’s a Dragon in Your Book”, “Miss Maple’s Seeds”, and “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”.
    “At this time when so many families are under so much stress, I’m excited to give kids a chance to practice their reading and hear some wonderful stories,” Obama, 56, said in a statement.
    “As a little kid, I loved to read aloud. And when I became a parent, I found such joy in sharing the magic of storytelling with my own children – and then later, as First Lady, with kids everywhere.”

    She’s not the only President’s wife reading to children who are stuck indoors during the lockdown – current First Lady Melania Trump shared a clip of herself reading children’s book “The Little Rabbit” on YouTube, in place of the famed White House Easter Egg Roll, which usually takes place on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020, but was cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic.
    Elsewhere, actor Tom Hardy is returning to read a week’s worth of CBeebies Bedtime Stories to U.K. kids in lockdown, beginning April 27, while former British royal Sarah Ferguson has launched a new YouTube channel, “Storytime with Fergie and Friends”, and will read a different children’s book every day at 4 P.M. BST.

    AceShowbiz – Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes surely don’t have the best relationship and the upcoming episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is here to prove that once again. In a new sneak peak obtained by Us Weekly, the former beauty queen and her co-star are having a heated argument over the infamous “almost spitting” incident.
    It occurs during Kandi Burruss’ baby shower. Kenya and NeNe sit on the same table and tension quickly arises the moment Kenya is asked about an article where she called her co-star a bully. In response, she says, “No it’s not fake and you know it’s not fake,” adding that NeNe has always been a bully and will always be one.
    Not stopping there, she then brings back their Greece fight as saying, “NeNe tried to spit on me.” The “Glee” alum then fires back, “No, I did not. Let’s be very clear, bully.” The women start exchanging insults after that, with Kenya mocking NeNe over her grammatical mistakes and telling her to “go back to elementary school.”
    At one point, NeNe warns Kenya to drop the argument. “This ain’t what you want,” so she says. “If I wanted to spit on you, you would know you’ve been spit on. … I didn’t try. Anything I want to do, I will do it.”
    Ultimately, Kandi tells everyone to leave as she’s having none of it.
    Kenya and NeNe’s drama has been the center stage in the current season of “RHOA”, and the alleged “almost spitting” incident was the highlight of it. The incident took place during the ladies’ trip to Greece, where things soon took a turn for the worse once NeNe called Kenya a “b***h.” However, NeNe has repeatedly denied that she tried to spit on Kenya, though she admitted to not having any regrets over the fight.

    AceShowbiz – NikkieTutorials is not done sharing her unpleasant experience as a guest on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”. After calling out host Ellen DeGeneres for being “cold and distant” following her appearance in January, the YouTube star went on to reveal she was not even allowed to use toilet reserved for Jonas Brothers.
    In a new interview with the Dutch magazine &C, the 26-year-old was asked about her appearance on the show. “I was expecting a Disney show, but got Teletubbies after dark. Every guest at Ellen’s had a private toilet, but I didn’t,” she recalled. “I was not allowed to use the nearest toilet, because it was reserved for the Jonas Brothers.”
    “Why do they get a private toilet, I thought,” the beauty guru, whose real name is Nikkie de Jager, went on sharing. Nonetheless, she managed to get a kick out of the outcome from her interview as she pointed out, “But in the end my item had eight million views afterwards and theirs two million, ha!”
    During the interview, Nikkie also got real about how different her expectation was from the reality. “Call me naive, but I kind of expected to be welcomed with confetti cannons: ‘Welcome to The Ellen DeGeneres Show!’ But instead I was greeted by an angry intern who was a bit overworked,” she admitted.
    Despite her negative experience, the YouTuber was still “happy” she grabbed the opportunity to be on the show. Still, she felt that it has taught her one important lesson. While admitting that she still has Adele on her bucket list, she retorted, “Although after Ellen I figured, don’t meet your idols. Haha.”
    This was not the first time Nikkie criticized the “Ellen” show. Back in February, she also opened up on “De Wereld Draait Door” about what exactly happened during her appearance as guest on the talk show. Asked by Matthijs van Nieuwkerk about her first interview after coming out as transgender, she compared how she was treated on Ellen’s show to the Dutch show.

    “Let me say that there’s a big difference between this show and Ellen DeGeneres, and I’m saying that in favor of this show,” Nikkie honestly said, according to native Dutch speaker Sebastian Williams. Describing Ellen as someone who is “cold and distant,” Nikkie continued, “It was a huge honor to be on that stage with Ellen, but it wasn’t as nice as I thought.”

    AceShowbiz – New York theatre chiefs are to launch a Broadway on Demand streaming service allowing self-isolated fans to watch shows from home.
    The service will offer a library of educational and interactive resources as well as live-captured Broadway shows, exclusive performances and access to masterclasses, and will be launched with a 30 Days of Opening Nights benefit concert.
    The benefit will be livestreamed from Hollywood’s Bourbon Room, observing social distancing guidelines, and will raise funds for entertainers affected by the closure of Broadway theatres, and many others across the U.S., due to the coronavirus pandemic.
    Broadway on Demand’s president-CEO Sean Cercone says in a statement to Broadway World: “Broadway is a giant global brand, and its impact extends far beyond a few blocks in midtown Manhattan.”
    “Even before our current crisis, we’ve long dreamt of building a platform that would truly fulfil Broadway’s long-held promise of being the ‘longest street in the world.’ This platform is our way of breaking down geographical and economic barriers so that the entire world can partake in all the wonders that Broadway has to offer.”
